  1. How can I get the mission generator to generate more heavy bomber intercepts? If I just download and install more russian heavy bombers will they get featured into the single mission randomisation?
  2. Fair enough atleast its deliberate, just thought It would be awesome to be allowed some abit more room so you can pan your head around your seat so you could get a clearer view of your tail, or get a better viewing position when your on runway/carrier approach.
  3. Any idea on derestricting TrackIR 5DOF? also to stop the "weapon selected" or "radar mode selected" messages down the bottom?
  4. Lol no 3 & 4 are fine as you say they have no problem engaging BVR, its your no.2 who wont leave your side
  5. Thanks I didnt think about Ctrl+R I will try that later, low and fast is the key then eh.. My ground crew must hate having to pull all the branches and leafs out from the fuselage. Not running NATO4 at the moment but I do have it ready to install once I have done with the default aircraft. I like the difficulties of using primitive equipment and weapons etc.
  6. Is there any point allowing your wingman to carry BVR missiles? Considering they wont engage your target unless your close enough to visually track and some of the earlier AIM-9's arent exactly deadly.. your wingman just ends up being a distraction, would be ideal if you could co-ordinate with your wingman so you can engage two targets simultaniously BVR without having to get into a scrappy dogfight with more maneuverable aircraft. Also with the Harrier GR3 Campaigns are they possible? No ECM, or countermeasures or basic threat detector or are they particulary fast so you become a sitting duck to SAMS, I can dodge missiles easy enough flying low when I can identify the launch site whilst on way to targets, but if there is a SAM in the target zone they tend to wipe out half my flight before I can locate it and take it out or flying at altitude I have difficulty locating the incoming missile to dodge it effectively. One recon mission in particular I went on the waypoints must have took me over 4 sam sites on the way there and another 4 on the way back and there was no way to divert around them without running into more. So is it better fly extremely low try and dodge any missiles, or get as much height as possible and hope there is enough range to outrun a missile?
  7. Interesting Read, Very suprised to hear my specs arent quite enough to get the most out of this game engine. I've tweaked about with the settings and managed to get it to 45fps on runway and low level flying which easily flyable. Is there a thread with the "Must have" mods? Although I'm really enjoying the game at the moment, I wouldnt complain at some awesome new sounds :)

  10. Anyone managed to optimize the terrain fully? I get 60fps all the time except when low flying in the cockpits, makes ground pounding a PITA. My computer more than enough passes the requirements btw..
  11. Thanks guys that works great, I looked in that file myself but couldnt find the exact line to edit, getting a good balance of simulation now. Any chance you can also de-restrict the 6DOF for TrackIR users?
  12. Hi Guys, first off this game has the best and most talented modding community I have ever seen, I'm looking for two basic mods which would make my game experience alot more enjoyable. I have tried searching in the appropriate file sections but couldnt find anything similar, firstly Is there a line you can edit in one of the .ini's to get rid of the basic flight information in the bottom left? I like to have the radar blip for BVR combat so have to keep it on normal, but I also like navigating and landing off instruments to keep the immersion, secondly is there anyway to get rid of the view pan limit? I can barely see passed my 7-5 o'clock which can make tracking targets visually very difficult. Thanks in advanced :)
