  6. Let's see... N1K1-J Ki-44-II (WIP Geo) J2M Raiden (WIP Geo) Dewoitine D.520 Fiat G.50bis Yup I know this is primarily a jet sim, but I'm a hopeless prop-head.
  7. Any cigar smokers out there?

What a good post! Yup I smoke cigars on occasion here as well. I like cuban vanilla delights from Victor Sinclair. Got one of those neat cigar clippers and used to have a really good humidor until someone broke the darned thing. Cheers
  8. Some WiP's

Nicely done so far! More toys to play with. :fan_1:
  9. a little suggestion

    Mannie 'Ol chap <S>
  10. For me the F-86F Sabre, Hawker Hunter, Mystere IVa and the MiG-15. The early Cold War era jets are fascinating. The Sabre with it's incredibly sleek lines and WW2-style armament and the others with their HUGE cannon. If this is boiled down further, then it would be a tie between the Sabre and the elegant Hunter.
  11. Early War Birds...

In your list, you counted the Hanriot HD-1. Here is the WIP on this beautiful aircraft: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=23232 Cheers <S>
  12. Does the Navy really have this much time on its hands?

  13. I took it down and gave it away....

That was a very admirable thing you did ! He sure as heck deserves the Blue Star <S>
  14. Yes it did. Also the white lights on the trailing edge of the vertical stab pulsed in unison with the red one (they pulsed instead of flashing). The red light casing had two bulbs inside of it. I remember climbing up onto the jets backbone and shuffling carefully up to it. Changed many of those things during countless swing-shifts on the flightline. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...I_in_flying.jpg (347th TFW) The Phantoms were still painted just like this example when I arrived at Moody during the summer of 1982. Ironically, the Phantom in this shot was at Moody as well and if I remember correctly, it was the Wing Commanders jet. You can see the red anti-collision light just below the so-called 'bellows' probe. Man this brings back memories! Craigster
  15. My first jet I crewed in the USAF (summer 1982) was 69-356. The aircraft was an F-4E Phantom II and I was the Assistant Dedicated Crew Chief. Was kinda cool to see my name and rank stenciled on the rear canopy rail right side. Stationed at Moody AFB Valdosta, GA May 1982 - Feb 1984.
  16. hanriot hd.1

Can't wait to see this beautfiful aeroplane roll out of EmlD's Aviation Hangar!!
  17. Try this out my man: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=19172&hl= Look for the third post by Column5 on this page. Had this same problemo myself for the longest time. Cheers, Craigster
  18. It's the Camel and not the CamelF1 that I have an issue with. I fly a mission with this aeroplane and when the mission is over, I hit ESC to end it and my PC freezes up. Any solutions to this problem? Never happens with any other plane so far. Just this one. Camel is flown on normal FM, too. Older system maxed out: ----------------------------- Win98se 512 RAM (max) Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 PCI Sound Blaster PCI board Latest vid drivers that work Latest Direct X installed Craigster <S>
  19. A-Team Camel slight problem

Bullseye!! Thank you guys so much. Works like a charm <S>
  20. Favorite Kites....

Yup. I only noticed that one after I'd hit the SEND button :blush2: Too eager to reply for my own good!
  21. Favorite Kites....

    Sopwith Pup
  22. Where to find ammo effectiveness?

I use the gun editor for adjusting the bullet mass and so forth. Visit J18Dread's site and grab it here: http://home.earthlink.net/~drhanksa/ Some very useful info and settings to be found here. Craigster <S>
  23. Exit mission crash

    Yes indeed!! Thank you Tailspin for pointing those of us with this problem in the right direction. Taking the CAT extractor utility and pulling out the WWIVERDUN_DATA.INI, look for the following two paragraphs: [NormalTextureMaterial] UseEffectShader=TRUE <------------------(change to FALSE) EffectShaderName=TerrainEffect2.fx DepthBufferCheck=TRUE DepthBufferWrite=TRUE RenderedInOrder=TRUE AlphaTestEnabled=FALSE CullMode=CLOCKWISE LightEnabled=TRUE SpecularEnabled=FALSE EmissiveEnabled=FALSE FogEnabled=TRUE AmbientColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 DiffuseColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.0000000 ZBufferOffset=0.000000 BlendOp=ONE NumTextureStages=1 TextureStage[01].TextureName= TextureStage[01].MipMap=TRUE TextureStage[01].FilterEnabled=TRUE TextureStage[01].StageColorOp=TEXTURE_MODULATE_DIFFUSE TextureStage[01].StageAlphaOp=NO_OP [WaterTextureMaterial] UseEffectShader=TRUE <------------------(change to FALSE) EffectShaderName=WaterEffect2.fx DepthBufferCheck=TRUE DepthBufferWrite=FALSE RenderedInOrder=TRUE AlphaTestEnabled=TRUE CullMode=NO_CULL LightEnabled=TRUE SpecularEnabled=TRUE EmissiveEnabled=FALSE FogEnabled=TRUE AmbientColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 DiffuseColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 SpecularColor=1.000000,1.000000,0.900000,1.000000 SpecularPower=1.000000 ZBufferOffset=6.000000 BlendOp=BLEND_SRC_ALPHA NumTextureStages=2 TextureStage[01].TextureName= TextureStage[01].MipMap=FALSE TextureStage[01].FilterEnabled=TRUE TextureStage[01].StageColorOp=DIFFUSE TextureStage[01].StageAlphaOp=TEXTURE TextureStage[02].TextureName=ref_color.bmp TextureStage[02].MipMap=FALSE TextureStage[02].FilterEnabled=TRUE TextureStage[02].StageColorOp=TEXTURE TextureStage[02].StageAlphaOp=DIFFUSE Bullseye! When I exit a mission, I end up at the FE debriefing screen instead of the desktop and thereby staying within the game. Will help lots when hosting a MP session for sure.
  24. Twenty-one today ....

I love this! February and March have been BUSY months as far as add-on aeroplanes for First Eagles. Craigster
  25. WIP

Fabulous!!!!! I love that 'used' and 'beaten up' look you gave to the aircrafts cowling and cockpit areas
