  1. AA 2.3.0 is out

ROE's are there for a purpose...there are numerous instances of US Troopers getting killed or abandoning a mission in order to save non-combatants,a nurse would definetly qualify as a non-combatant...even in the middle of a rather hot lz,or a firefight non-combatant casualties are avoided at all costs....if nothing else picture the reaction when buds are told one used a nurse as a shield, one would be laughed out of the bull session....
  2. question air 2 air

ran across thgis over at drudge, does anyone have more info?? was it f-16s or f-15 s?.... Israel downed 2 Syrian MiGs last September over sea SPECIAL TO WORLD TRIBUNE.COM Friday, February 11, 2005 Diplomatic sources said Israel Air Force F-16 multi-role fighters intercepted and downed two Syrian MiG-29 fighter-jets last year. The sources said the dogfight took place in September 2004 over the eastern Mediterranean Sea. This was the first engagement between Israeli and Syrian fighter-jets since the 1980s. The sources said the air battle took place when Israel Air Force fighter-jets buzzed the Syrian city of Latakia, a port used by Iran for the shipment of weapons to Hizbullah. The Washington-based Reform Party of Syria first provided details of the Israeli-Syrian dogfight. RPS said the air battle took place on Sept. 14, 2004, adding that both downed pilots were rescued by Syrian military helicopters, Middle East Newsline reported. RPS, quoting a European source, said the Israeli fighter-jets used an Israeli-origin Python-4 air-to-air missile to down one of the MiG-29s. The other Syrian MiG-29 was shot down by a U.S.-origin AIM-9M Sidewinder. The pilots of the MiG-29s were identified by RPS as Maj. Arshad Midhat Mubarak and Capt. Ahmad Al Khatib. Diplomatic sources said the Syrian losses led President Bashar Assad to accelerate efforts to procure advanced anti-aircraft systems from Russia. Syria has requested a range of anti-aircraft systems, including the SA-18, TOR-M1, S-300PMU2 and the S-400 systems. The most likely Russian sale to Damascus is that of the SA-18, the sources said. They said Russia would supply the first SA-18 short-range systems – either directly or through a third country – within several months. In January, Russia and Syria – overriding objections from Israel and the United States – agreed on the sale of the SA-18 to Damascus. Russian officials said the sale of the SA-18 would not violate any international arms agreement. "Russia has cooperated with Syria for decades, and my country is convinced that Syria has a strong right to get defensive weapons," Russian ambassador in Tunisia Aleksei Tserub said. sounds as if syria is getting ready to be the next terrorist backer on the hit parade..wonder how long it would take the idf to thunder into damascus....

  7. scary stuff

32 Chinese stowaways found in container in Los Angeles Thirty-two Chinese stowaways were found in two cargo containers in Los Angeles after surviving a nearly two-week ocean journey from Hong Kong, officials said. The 32 would-be illegal immigrants They were on the first class route..as opposed to 142 packed into a 18 wheeler.... were taken into custody on Saturday after a crane operator in Los Angeles port spotted three men climbing out of a hole cut in the side of a container, police said. makes me feel good that the crane operators are on the job,yep yep..now we get the security guards and cops do it we will be fine... The containers with the men inside were loaded onto the ship two weeks ago in Shekou, China, police said. The men were in good health, officials said. The stowaways, all men, had equipped the containers with supplies and ventilation to allow them to survive the perilous journey across the Pacific Ocean, said Los Angeles Port Police Lieutenant Titus Smith said. "They had ventilation holes cut into the bottom of the container. They had a fan system set up that ran on batteries, they had ample food and water, juices, sleeping bags," he said. yeah, and a baseball sized piece of nuke material........a few detonators,a dozen ak's.,..their last rite robes..the tickets to the virgins...but really guys, this IS scary stuff... US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials are investigating the stowaways pending a decision on their fate and will work with Chinese authorities to repatriate them. yep, then they get backin, on the southern route... One of the stowaways claimed to have paid 3,000 dollars for his passage to the United States, but investigators say smuggling fees for migrants from China typically range from 30,000 to 60,000 dollars, according to immigration agents. wonder what the rate for a few terrorists is........ Chinese immigrants have long risked their lives by stowing away illegally on ships in a bid to enter the United States. The incident came almost a year after 19 smuggled Chinese migrants were found inside a container aboard a Cypriot-flagged vessel, the Ningbo, in February last year, the US Department of Homeld ecurity said gee, that was not long enough for a proper investigation huh...

Abu Mus'ab al-Zarqawi, whom the US occupation authorities declared to be the "target number one" in Iraq, has been arrested in the city of Baakuba, The newspaper's correspondent in Baghdad points out that a report on the seizure of the terrorist, on whom the US put a bounty of 10 million dollars, was also reported by Iraqi Kurdistan radio, which at one time had been the first to announce the arrest of Saddam Hussein With a bit of luck the idiot gets shot while trying to escape..........with some luck maybe a iraqui will shove a grenade up his six, just far enough toi be able pull the pin and spoon to fly off....
  10. the fearless useless nations

Ran into this tidbit on the net, anyone else getting pissed at it?.... The Bush administration yesterday pledged $15 million to Asian nations hit by a tsunami that has killed more than 22,500 people, although the United Nations' humanitarian-aid chief called the donation "stingy." "The United States, at the president's direction, will be a leading partner in one of the most significant relief, rescue and recovery challenges that the world has ever known," said White House deputy press secretary Trent Duffy. But U.N. Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Jan Egeland suggested that the United States and other Western nations were being "stingy" with relief funds, saying there would be more available if taxes were raised. comments are welcomed...but I think not many would be for the un raising our taxes, nor for us to get out tax tables raised so we can give more to the un..the words gall, chutzpah(sp?) come to mind bout now..
  11. the fearless useless nations

What relief did other countries offer Florida after the hurricanes ? I believe we should take care of our own first. BINGO!..but yeah we really ought to help, this country does help, quite a bit more than many nations do,as individuals we help much more than many countries as a country do..what Im wondering is when is saudi arabia, kuwait and the other rich oil countries going to kick in,hell the saudis can make one hell of a payment on just oil revenues in one damm day,and a lot of those countries that are hurting have many muslim majorities..........
  12. the fearless useless nations

This is a huge tragedy and people need to help people before turning this whole thing into some political spin to be used in the future. They allready are....like asking why Mr Bush did not cut short his vacation, wonder what they expected him to do....
  13. the fearless useless nations

  14. new laws

New Laws Affect Domestic Partners, ID Protection and Tanning Booths POSTED: 8:21 am PST December 27, 2004 UPDATED: 8:53 am PST December 27, 2004 There are new ways to fight back against e-mail spam and fresh protections of your Social Security numbers under California laws going into effect in a few days. Anyone under 18 will be banned from tanning booths without a doctor's OK, gee a doctors note to burn one self??????? and there's also a new ban on the sale of .50-caliber rifles. damm it! there goes the elephant hunt I was planning out on the east county... Most of the hundreds of laws that will take effect New Year's Day were signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in the last year. After the new year, it will be unlawful for insurance companies in California to offer health insurance benefits that do not also cover the domestic partners of gay and lesbian employees. Aint gonna comment on this one..... And pharmacists will be allowed to sell up to 10 hypodermic needles without a prescription, thanks to legislation that aims to reduce disease transmission among drug users. hey we have to keep the druggies alive so they can stay a burden on the system...
  15. Disaster in Asia

you know folks,it never ceases to amaze me how we as nations go to war, kill each other, create massive weapons to destroy each other..then along comes mama nature and reminds us how insignificant we trully are in her scheme of things...kind of puts things in their proper perspective,at least to me.....we only live here, its her planet..

The "bang" seat works when my wife threatens bodily harm to me if I don't quit flying on the computer! sounds like you got the optional bang seat...... now you need to get a used helmet(out on cyberspace somewhere) and wire it so you can run it thru the speakers and same thing for the mic, you'd be ready then, and could allways tell the manual bang seat 'i can't hear you'......
  20. My simpit is built!

  22. If I recall it proper the early shrikes had to be almost directly in front of the weasel, which is why a lot of the attacks were straight in and sometimes strafed with the vulcan in the 105..the spads also used the technique(sp?) as they had those neat 4 20mm guns...they also used a lot of cbu's against the sites..the latter versions of the anti radiation missiles had a set up were they locked onto the last signal of the site...Of course I just might be wrong but thats what I recall from talking with folks over at udorn, ubon and tahkli...also over at phan rang and tuy hoa..hope some of this helps..but yeah thats one reason the weasels had big brass cojones, you had to fly Towards the threat....(sp again?)
