I've been trying to hit the site the last week from work and it keeps failing, has anyone else been on it? I know they were having money/bandwidth problems and were looking for some emergency cash to pay the bills, but I was hopeful Frugal would stay afloat. Anyone know what's going on?

They have posted their new web layout and are working on stuff, so they'll be up and down for the next few days I assume.

I haven't heard of any similar reports in the past, sounds like a glitch. Did you try removing the offending files and try again?

I recently reinstalled this sim and have been messing with some of the great new mods that have come out recently, and I must say this sim has really aged well. It's still IMHO one of the prettiest WWII sims and just flat out fun to fly, although the fragile damage model always bugged me. :D If you're like me and are just getting back into the WW2F scene, a great website to check out the latest WW2F mods and skins is over at WWIIFighters.net. Tell me this doesn't look as good as FB... The WW2F community has also just released a new Addon CD that includes all of the best mods and skins on 2 CD's with an awesome front-end interface for one-click installs. I've had a lot of requests to add some different forums for various FPS games such as Operation Flashpoint, America's Army, Soldner, and more. I'm curious as to what the general consensus is on this. While the site is dedicated to combat flight sims, a lot of us do play other games as well, and I think it would not be too far out of our realm to has some discussion forums on some of the more popular FPS's out there. Your thoughts?

Not that I'm aware of, I have both here and have no problems running it at full detail.

It will be here, they've spent way too much time on it not to. Of course, Janes killed A-10 with a month or so to go... ;)

They are skipping this week (again) due to Matt being in Moscow working with the team, but Cartrix has promised another longer-format vid next week to make up for it.

Weas, I tried AA the first two weeks it was out and the server situation was so bad it soured me on the game. I really need to get back on and try it out again. Well, it looks like the voting is already skewing heavily into the Yes vote already, so I guess the next step is to get a list of Combat FPS games that people are playing and setup the appropriate forums.

I've added a new forum for discussing various WWI Flight Sim projects currently in progress. ArgonV, an avid WWI simmer and one of the devs for the OpenPlane WWI mod, has kindly assumed the moderator role.

I haven't checked on the Wings with Wires project lately, I think I'll jump over there and see what's up... As for a WWI Forum, I'm gonna throw one up tonight. There are enough projects in the works out there that we should have a dedicated forum for them now.

Hell, I'll be more than happy to fire up a forum for it. We haven't had a good WWI sim in ages!
