could someone explain how to install the test range,,I unzippe the download and don't know where to put the 4 folders that are in the test range folder...Haven't been able to fly lately and need the training ,,Thanks

tried to add this to the last post but wasn't allowed Ok went in options.ini in the mods folder and single mission was set for flying F4-e's in 1964 looked at my user created mission which was set to fly a Panther recon mission copied the necessary entries to instant action and it works..Also my start date was 1964 and reset that to 1951--1953..Seems to be good so far.Instant action always flies what the edit shows.So I got it set for Corsairs CAS ,,Next step is to throw in the bombing range..I keep a copy of the last good install zipped just in case

Thanks Spectre..Yes I renamed all to strikeFighters2 Korea.exe.including the ini file in the main folder ...I don't know why I need the exe on the end but it's running sweet "so if it ain't broke don't fix it"..been flying user created missions..Instant action locks up but I've been reading and it seems to be something wit aircraft type and start dates.But campaigns are good and can create missions...Only question is how can you set missions to ground start which is what I prefer

Finally after many tries I got her running..I can setup missions and run campaigns..Imstant action locks it up but no troubles there I just set up single missions..Still a mystery why I have to have to have exe after the Korea but I'm going to zip the good install up and try to edit it out of the titles ini files etc.I'm leaving the compatability settings alone and running straight win 7 should I change this to xp or 98????

Yes I'm renaming StrikeFighters2 Vietnam to StrikeFighters2 Korea I run it and reset some of the options in game file but the users\Saved games\Third Wire\ doesn't show a Korea folder so I can proceed with the terrain install and go on from there.I only have the 5 standard SF titles in there. OOOKKK I figured it out I was just renaming SF2 Vietnam to FS2 Korea ,,I changed that to SF2 Korea.EXE. Ran it and got the proper Korea folder in the Users/saved games dir.I just assumed the Korea would run as an application ...Now I got the folder and can proceed with deleting objects folder add terrain and so forth......Thanks guys for bearing with me hopefully all will go ok from here.

My third wire sims are stored in C:\Users\Ruski\Saved Games\Third Wire.......Is this where the KAW folder would show up??? I was expecting to see a Korea folder when I ran the renamed exe. I looked at my options in the Vietnam folder and it reads C:\Users\Ruski\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam... .Does this need to be edited to SF2 Korea before running the renamed Vietnam EXE.??Mods =True is enabled.Sorry a bit lost on this one.Thank you for the reply

I installed the Mescerlo range but although the terrain shows in my mods folder C:\user\saved games\Strike fighters 2 Vietnam it dosen't show when I try to launch a single mission...I unpacked the two files and added them to my mods folder and also tried the one download version..I've added other terrains and they worked well/,,I would like o get this operational so I an practice without getting smoked..I have used the range for SF1 and enjoyed it..,Thank You for any help

Don't know what changed but downloaded the 6 single files unzipped them to a dummy folder and pasted them into Vietnam and it runs well...The all in one was what I used before Aa long as it works I'm good..Thanks for the replies

It Dosen't show up in my install..I've tried to find it

Bob The folder is plural..I'm lost about the cat file pointer.I have no idea how to find it thers no ini or anthing like that in he terran file...read through the KB and couldn't spot anything

Been trying for two days to get the second part and always get unexpected end of archive when unzipping..Part one downloaded fine...Could some one verify the file is OK??Thank you for any help It shows up downloaded as 1,161,928 kb

Up and runniung well but when flying single missions the scdreen is filled up wiyh what looks like flight model info,,views info and a ton of other stuff..I'm sure this is for debugging or something but would like to shut it off..

I tried fror 2 days and get the same thing..Tried with two browers IE and firefox..Guess I'll try again tommorrow funny I only got the a-s6 and took over an hour to download.So I ran the repair archive command in win rar and it seems to have unzipped a large aircraft folder.It's 1.51 gb but seems every folder had a checksum error.I'll try it out and see what happens.Could be a glich in my win rar so I'll try a reinstall and see if it helps Thank you for the reply DO Thank you Do I'll grab that one tommorrow and funny I just uninstalled 7 Zip but got my back ups

Can edit my first post ..the only thing there is an A-26 B folder with an ini and glass folder

I downloaded Green Hell and the install instructions say "Backup your Vietnam folder, unpack and move/copy new VietnamSEA to your Vietnam folder, overwrite when asked." I don't understand where to install it ..I've got a merged full SF2 install ,,Does it go into the main sf2 folder or the use\savedganes..ETC folder I tried the users ;;;folder but all that shows in game is VietnamSEA Totally lost on this ..Any help is appreciated

Russok Thank you so much !!! creating the VNSEA folder in the mods folder makes sense all the files loose in the terrain folder didn't make sense to me.When I installed the range mod it created a mescelero folder and I kinda figured the Green hell should have also..Thank you to all for the advice.

REd.. been there I just dont under stand if the green hell files belong loose in the mods folder or in a named folder of their own...If I have say5 different terrain mods can i dump the file in one folder or do they need to be named seperate folders so the game can find them

mig .. thats where I'm lost theres a vietnamsea .cat file in the main install but where my mods are theres none just loose files with a sub folder fpr 512 textures..Sorry for not grasping this but should my modded terrain folder have a name with the files in it>>>

Thank you ..inside my users...sf2..terrains folder I have a folder Mescelaro which is the range and a bunch of loose terrain files from green hell and a seperate 512 textures one should the be in a named folder or just loose like that??

Looking for this filem ..It's in the read me for the Vietnam Expansion pack but link dosen't work and search dosen't turn it up..Any help is appreciated....FOTI A-6A
