  1. I haven't installed it on this new install, but I think it was for you to go back to Nav Mode using the ' key.
  2. Anybody seen....

These are two different programs. Showdown:Air Combat has been on in the States for about a year. Personally I don't find it very interesting. And I'm an airplane enthusiest! They use live aircraft combine with canned footage to describe the stories. Plus, listening to "Max" Moga doesn't do much for me. I actually find it interesting that he's able to do the show while on active duty. There are rules that do not allow the use of one's position for personal gain. Maybe he's not getting paid? Dogfights on the other hand was, IMO, a better show. Yes, it was all CGI, but it was pretty well done and gave the viewer an excellent recreation of a huge air battle. Something that cannot be done with live aircraft. As the show went on toward the final episodes, you could see that the research wasn't what is was in the beginning.
  3. Yea, they are a really low intensity light and usually a Lt Blue/White color. They stand out on NVGs really well without blinding them. The Spec Ops C-130s have them also. -Jeff
  4. RAF Cosford Airshow

Where would the Vulcan be, say around the 20th of August? I may know a certain boom operator (with a camera) that would be interested in seeing her on his way home.
  5. Had to do the same thing with the B-52H_PV. Every light required new entries. Took a frigin week for that alone! Nice lights Kevin.
  6. SAAB/Swedish Air Force was using a form of datalink way before most other countries. So it is indeed possible. Interesting news. -S

  13. Everything is a bug to him. He won't take the time to do any research on his own.
  14. Awesome work. They look quite natural.
  15. Orders change...

Yep been there. When we left Germany, we had one week to get our stuff shipped and then on a plane back to CONUS. Gotta love Personnel... As far as your impending trip in the Taurus, could be worse: "Now, I owe it to myself to tell you that if you're taking the whole tribe cross-country, the Wagon Queen Family Truckster... You think you hate it now, wait 'til you drive it."
  16. hi..so who misses me lol x

    Get well soon Vanessa
  17. MF F-8 Crusaders are far better than the stock.
  18. I've put together an install with only Greek and Turkish Air Forces using the Greece map by ansons2, pitting these two Med forces against each other. So far I've had some interesting Phantom on Phantom engagements as well as Viper vs. Viper. Anyhow, I wasn't happy with the basic MF F-16C pit as I wasn't getting a CCIP or much else beyond basic instrumentation. It was created using the 60.avionics. BTW, this is not a knock on there great work. Getting back to my question. Are the MFD's hardcoded to display the static SMS and radar screens or has someone been able to getting them to function? In my experiments, I've given the F-16C pit all of the avionics from the WoI Netz (tweaked of course for the later F-16C Block), while retaining the later cockpit style/layout. It works great but I would like to get the MFD's to function. The stock Netz' cockpit does have a working radar on the lower screen, as well as the old analog SMS display on the left display, but from past experience, I recall this being a hard-coded function in the cockpit itself and not an ini thing. Any ideas? Cheers!
  19. nope. I was working on the B-1 and B-52
  20. Ace Combat is a scripted arcade game with ZERO chance to modify things. I really wish people would stop using it as a benchmark. Honestly, I've been feeling the same way. Yes for $20 you get some nice stuff and some new features (the new TEWS RWR is excellent!). But with that, you take a few steps back on some others (FM) or Gen1 features are still broke (Red Crown). I'm going to continue to support Thirdwire until I see what the Gen3 sims are like (post SF2I or SF2FE). I'll make my final decision then. Until that point, I'll continue to use the fantastic resources that have been made available to me here, to make the experience as close as I can to what I want.
  21. Hmm, with that much disposable income to buy payware aircraft, I'm surprised that there aren't more CA subscribers.
  22. Dave knows this as does anyone who has been around since Day 1. It's more than just an ini tweak. It's a non-operative feature that requires coding. Only TK can do that, but he won't. Instead, I'd like to see a new Comm edit (by us) that replaces that in the menu with more wingman controls. Turn ECM on/off to coincide with radar, EMCON, etc...
  23. Hence why I never bothered to ask. He's following his own agenda. Things from SF1 are still broke and will most likely stay that way.
