Ahh, if I was at home, I could drive over and pick it up. I live in Derby, Ks. But, I'm not and was about 8 hours too late.

I'm trying to find a nice place to vacation in early September. I've decided on Branson, but have never been there. I'm looking for a log cabin type of setting where we could set up a campfire, etc. Any help or tips from a personal experience? A google search using "rental cabins+Branson" came up with some that I've looked at already. Thanks! Jeff

I'd be divorced within a week. The sense of speed down low was incredible.

The primary unit being the joint 20th/21st SOS MH-53J Det out of Brindisi, Italy. The reason we declined was that O'Grady demanded immediate recovery on the 6th DAY. Pavelows don't purposely operate in daytime, as the package is much smaller than a USMC TRAP, and rely on darkness for a clandestine infil/exfil. So the choice was made to send in the Marines for the extraction since they had the firepower ready to go. They had a successful pickup. -S

Ok, so maybe we'll pass on Branson. Thanks! So the search is on again. Maybe Yellowstone...

Need help with editing campaign WOV
ST0RM replied to Joe Hallenbeck's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Did you restart your campaign from scratch or continue the old one after you made the edits? From what I've found, once a campaign is started, any edits will not be used. You need to start from the beginning. -
SF2E also does WW2

They are the former 1% team that was building flight models for the MS series of sims. CFS, and civilian FS. When Microsoft closed their sim lab, these guys decided to focus their attention on the TW series. EDIT --- Forgot to say thanks to Sarge for posting some news. Sounds great! -

Thank you Ant. More files to install. Love the RS bird! -
Dave and Raven, Can you elaborate? Why did it blow goats? I know it's going to be expensive, but is it a rip off? I've been to Disney World quite a few times and am used to that sort of thing. Any similiarities? Thanks all.

That movie was pure excellence! And so realistic. Just kidding. It was entertaining. I didn't read much more into it. I did like the way they wrote in a true life event (ethnic cleansing) into the plot. The aviation scenes were cool. The flares were nice to watch.

AWNVN While we've got some tremendous first hand knowledge from a few members and others who have researched this subject better than most professional historians, some of this could be used for the WoV/SF2V. Note the part about the rattlesnake RWR sound for the SA-2 EDIT In my skim reading, I failed to note this was from a guy designing missions for Fighters Anthology. But still a good resource!

At least you'll be happy. Again, congratulations.

Problem with modern weapons

While you're messing with the Bk.27. Change the sound from Vulcan to Cannon. It's a single barrel, not a Gatling gun. -
SF2/SF2V Knowledge Base
ST0RM replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Knowledge Base
In SF2 Europe: Change the F-4C's USAFGrey squadron listing from 10TFS to an ANG unit. Hahn AB did not fly the C-model. They transitioned from the F-100D to the F-4D. I'd suggest the 171st FIS (Mich ANG) for the CRESTED CAP mission. It will require a new listing in the SquadronList.ini. For the SEA schemed jets, maybe a 52nd TFW bird. They had a mixed bag with some EF-4Cs for a very short time. Or "transfer" the jet to Spain. They flew Cs. -
That made me laugh. I could just imagine how that day started. "Good day Mrs. Jarhead, my name is Jug and I'm hear to play with Mr. Jarhead" "No Ma'am, I did not say Jugs"

Arab air forces 1967 six-days war campaign for WOI

Nice switch. Flying ground attack in the MiG-19 is a blast. Those cannons are mean! Thanks. -
Congrats. But I thought you wanted to be a pilot? Aircraft Technician is a nice term for aircraft maintenance. You will work hard. And if you go Herks, you'll end up where I am right now. I see several RAAF J-models everday. But they do make some great money being here, unlike us. Not trying to be Johnny Downer, but don't settle for just any job at the first go. If you want something, hold out for it.

ASQ-173 and ASS-38 do not appear in loadout screen?
ST0RM replied to AGOSTINO's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Add LP to the AllowedWeaponClass= of whatever station you want the pod to be loaded on. Since the Tomcat was wired for the LANTIRN on the right pylon, try [MissileStation2] or [MissileStation2bis]. I don't have my Bombcat loaded at the moment to tell you for sure. -

Kevin, Yep. Big sucker. @ JUG, I only repainted the Phase V and added various details and some ini work. The hard stuff had already been done. But thanks. -
ASQ-173 and ASS-38 do not appear in loadout screen?
ST0RM replied to AGOSTINO's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Could be one of many things. Did you enable to the weapon station to accept the LANTIRN or LP? What year are you trying to fly in? Looking at the WeaponsData.ini it was available in 1987, so prior to that, it won't show. However, the Navy used basically the same AAQ-14 pod as the USAF. The ASQ-138 is a laser spot tracker for Hornets. And the Tomcat didn't use the Nav pod, so you can drop that. I've got to ask. Have you read through the Knowledge Base on the various ways to install 3rd party products? -

File Name: Aeroflot An-12 File Submitter: ST0RM File Submitted: 7 Jun 2009 File Category: Multi Engined Bomber, Transport, Light Attack and Trainer Skins This is a repaint of the Antonov 12, NATO reporting name "Cub". It represents a handful of aircraft actually operated by Aeroflot and the Soviet Air Force. I've also given you a new data.ini file for the An-12. I've added the ALO-2 chaff and flare dispensers that were fitted to some Cubs used in the Soviet-Afghan War. Additionally I've added the landing lights and a tail beacon. This can be used with any of the first series TW sims, although with some slight adjustment, be made to work in the second gen sims. -Storm Click here to download this file
