Yes, the KC-130J does exist, but as I read the statement, it doesn't sound as if that is what your aircraft will be. I'm pretty certain this means that the C-130 itself will have A/R capability in the form of a probe, since India has Il-78 tankers. -Storm

Back when I worked Eagles at Eglin and the F-22 was in development, there was some word about a Super Eagle concept. Basically Boeing told the AF that it could build a fleet of brand new F-15Cs, equipped with the latest and greatest radar, ECM, digital cockpit, etc... for the same price as the 180 odd Raptors. Basically a 1 for 1 swap over the entire Eagle fleet. The AF said no and the rest we already know. As close as 2003/4, the USAF/ACC was looking to re-install the A-to-G software in the Eagles and give them a minor bomb dropping ability. Mostly JDAMs. I never more on it. -S

Updated USAF F-4 370 gal wing tanks

Great work Mike. Grabbing them now. -Jeff -
The USAF is buying, or showing significant interest, in the AT-6B/C Texan as a COIN platform. We've already got most of the helos covered. -S

That is because they are Air National Guard and basically State owned, so they are a bit relaxed on what all they can apply on their aircraft. -S

Wrenchs new Socal map!
ST0RM replied to gumpy's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Kevin, Even when viewing from the outside of the map, the tiles were missing. I first used it in WoE, and now have a separate install just for it using WoV. I'll try WoE again and also WoV and report back here. -Jeff EDIT------------------------------ Just sent Kevin some screens showing the missing tiles north of Vandenburg and another just west of Fresno. Tried in both WoE and WoV. -

Found a helo base. Or at least that is what it was populated with when I flew over. The new airfield layout is awesome with separate hardstands. WTG, Kevin! -Jeff -

Sea-water soaked? Good thing pee washes out! Bummer to see a good Rippers jet go into the drink like that. Thanks Jug. -Jeff

Just curious, but what is your opinion based on? Looks, or have you crewed a Challenger? Battles arent won by equipment that looks cool or even by the fact that one may be superior to another. So often, the level of an individual crews compatency is left out of someone's figuring. Just saying... -S

Surprised it hasnt been made into the Il-2 1946 Mod yet. Imagine the recoil on those guns though! -S -

Post it. The more stuff we have, the better. If someone doesnt want to use it, then they dont D/L it. -S -
Hmm, an IR missile with a range of 60 miles. That is one sensitive seeker! Gotta love those ingenious Iranians. I keep hoping to catch a few glimpses of their Phantoms out of Bushehr, but they didnt come out and play. I'd have even dropped the boom to top them off as a gesture of good will. Oh well. -S

Nice looking tank. The reactive armor is a smart idea, but not sure about the flat angle on the turret. I'm not engineer or tanker, so it's just my thought. The earlier M-84 looks just like a T-72. Licensed built copy? Congrats! -S

Superb work gentlemen! -
My wife's laptop has been running really poorly. The HD seems to always run. She cant view any photos as thumbnails without it crashing to the desktop. I looked to see what coule be running in the background, but I didnt see anything out of the ordinary. The PF usage was really high though. 460Mbs at the highest and with nothing running, about 250. I ran Spybot to check for malware or spyware. What is a good free one for worms? I'm not sure what else I can do for her. Any tips? Thanks!

Thank you both for the help. Looks like a fresh install of XP will be my chore for the weekend. Jeff
