  1. Oh yea! More Scooters. Nice work. -S
  2. The Knowledge Base has that covered also. Go through it all and it does have a section on adding weapons. FYI, those weapons are not included in the game and have to be downloaded and manually added. -S
  3. I've tried both FMs now and like Blackbirds for it's pitch and Mannie's for it's roll. Mannies is missing alot of entries for weps stations, but that can be fixed. If we can get a good combo of them, I think it will suffice for a bit. -S
  4. Nice work Warren! SEAD wont be the same. -S
  5. I'd like the ability to edit callsigns. Add new ones, or at least assign specific units to a callsign for historical values.
  6. comrpnt, thanks for that info. I've been trying to figure coordinates also. This will help tremendously. On that note, a long time back Deuces had figured out a way to get taxi clearance from the ramp. Has anyone continued on with this? Storm
  7. File Name: F-100C Super Sabre File Submitter: ST0RM File Submitted: 25 Oct 2008 File Updated: 2 Feb 2009 File Category: US Air Force Aircraft Here is my attempt at filling a gap in the WoV sim. I've modified the stock F-100D to represent the earlier F-100C. I've tweaked the FM a bit to reflect a slightly better climb rate, higher landing speed, and smaller rudder. Of course, these aren't all, but just a few things. Included are new high-res skins representing F-100Cs from the 120th TFS, 140th TFW Colorado ANG during their 1968 deployment to Phan Rhang AB, and the 188th TFS, 150th TFW New Mexico ANG at Tuy Hoa AB. I've added 12-14 serials that are accurate for each squadron. Special thanks to: Sundowner for the use of his high-res camo for the base WombRaider for the canopy opening mod Kout for the Hangar screen Wrench for the tips on light positioning and pilot Spillone104 for the new engine sounds (use the J-75-1 sound in this pack http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5910 ) And TK for this sim This has only been tested in Wings over Vietnam with the Sept 08 patch. Since it uses the stock F-100D lods, it should work in SFP1, WoV and WoE. However I do not accept any responsibility if something happens to your computer if you use this. It shouldnt, but I'm covering my butt. Enjoy! Jeff "ST0RM" Stoermer BoomerStorm@Yahoo.com Click here to download this file
  8. Yorkshire Air Museum

The Victor is my fav. Great pics overall. The outdoors displays look pretty natural, aside from the rope barriers. Thanks for sharing!
  9. Mike, I thought you said to use the F-4C lods and rename them to F-4D since they were more correct? I had the same problem, and this solved it. The patched F-4D lods are goofed up. Jeff
  10. Use as necessary. Hopefully you've got a better example waiting in the wings. ;)
  11. Thanks Jug. Watch the rotate speed. She wont unstick until 205kts-ish. Starfighter, sorry it isnt as accurate as I'd have liked. Since I was working with the stock model, I couldnt give it a new tail or the un-notched speedbrake. Feel free to edit your loadout as you see fit. Storm
  12. I was recently doing some research on the FAF F-100D's participation in combat over Algeria. Came up blank. Cool idea though. -S

  14. Very nice. I'll bet it turns on a dime too. -S
  15. Music in the Cockpit...

Yep, it's true. That ElliBoom guy described the way we do it in the -135. Whats nice also, is that we can push it outside of the jet on a freq and the receivers can listen in also. On a long fighter drag, we'll put the music out on a secondary radio for them to fly to and keep the boredom to a minimum. You should have seen the A-10's "dancing" to Rockstar from Nickelback. It was really cool. Storm
  16. Good to see more progress on the tanker. It's coming along well. Storm
  17. Airmax, not to down your idea, but many of the aircraft you mentioned wouldn't be available to a 3rd world AF during the period. The MiG-31 for instance, hasnt even been exported outside of Russia. Just my thoughts. V/R Storm
  18. IIRC, the A-37B (Big gun, small plane?) mission had some infantry that you had to kill and would shoot at you. Thats all I can think of outside of YAP, which I dont have.
  19. Because this is a 3rd World AF, use of older aircraft/vehicles is realistic. You could have one squadron of 4th Generation jets (the F-16 ADF and Fulcrum-As) to show some modernization. I second the idea of liking the Kfir. Maybe even the Pantera, A-37B, or Pucara. Second-hand COIN aircraft are relatively cheap and I think would fit well in the scenario. Just more ideas to mull over. Storm
  20. Too bad the 105 & 40mms cant be trainable. On the real aircraft, they do have some movement to help with accuracy. The 20mms were fixed, while the 25mm on the U-boat is also flexible a bit. Storm
  21. Thanks Warren. This really gives us another level of realism. Jeff
  22. What? The Co actually had a say in what you did? And all this before the current CRM training. I'm impressed. Jug, your stories rock. I'm posting them for our guys to read within my squadron. They'll get a kick out them also. Thanks!
  23. Air Force Officer Careers

There are other flying jobs available also. Granted first choice is a pilot, but we do still have some Navigators (WSOs in the F-15E) and Electronic Warfare Officers. How good of shape are you in? If the flying gig falls through, you can always try out for the Special Tactics units. They are the Pararescue and Combat Control teams. I've known several guys from the STS throughout my career and they love the job. Good luck! Storm P.S. Dont let anyone fool you into thinking we dont ride a desk. If we aren't flying, we are doing paperwork. Everyone has a ground job in my squadron.
  24. Holy crap Jug, that was a cool story. S!
