  1. You guys should patch a clean install. Otherwise you're more than likely going to lose some things. Storm
  2. Yet another checkride...

Congrats! I just got home from this latest deployment and will take mine in a week or so. Then the DOV job is mine ;) Storm
  3. Just great. Another person next to me that can b*tch at me when my driving isnt good enough ;) Seriously, looks great. Storm
  4. Some do and some dont. It's more of a broad catagory. Especially in these sims. There are ones that are used as an IRST/FLIR and other that are used for guidance, like on the Maverick. I think the trick would be to add something to the IR missiles that the RWR would read and alert you. Storm
  5. Each active-duty/AFRes wing has a few MPRS (Multi-Point Refueling System) jets assigned to them. The ANG do not. The pods dont come off unless they are removed for maintenance reasons. Here is a good picture I found on the net of it in action. "An Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker from the 340th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron refuels a Royal Air Force GR-4 Tornado over Iraq Feb. 25 using the multipoint refueling system. With MPRS, Air Force tankers have the versatility to refuel Air Force, Navy and coalition aircraft all in the same mission. (Royal Air Force photo)" Photo here: http://www.strategypage.com/military_photo...0734151846.aspx According to my logbook, I was actually flying this jet when this pic was taken back on the 25th of Feb. Cool huh? Jeff P.S. I've got a ton of detail shots of the MPRS if needed
  6. Veltro, that is too funny! Thanks! Jeff
  7. Those 'Stangs are gorgeous. Great to have more Korean era aircraft.
  8. I dont believe a MWS for an IR threat is possible yet. The issue being with the missile itself in that it doesnt give off any "warning" that it's fired, other than your wingman callouts. Nice idea though. It could be just an ini tweak that hasnt been looked at/for. Storm
  9. Ahh, theres my girl. She brought me home again yesterday from the desert. Will be nice to have her in the sim finally. Storm
  10. F/A-18A and F/A-18C

Externally, the main difference are in the number of lumps/bumps that are on the vertical tail. The A-model only had two, while the C had three. A-model tail: C-model tail: The bumps on the back of the spine were added to all Legacy Hornets: Jeff
  11. The LITENING pod is in MF's other weapons pack. If you got it installed in WOE, just copy it over and add the text to the weapons.ini, etc... Here is a LANTIRN pod: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5717 And here is the wep packs: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...amp;showcat=340 Storm
  12. Flew a 1957 KC-135 today and this was the hot topic during the flight. Pisses us off to no end that this hasnt been resolved yet. Our take is that they dont care until jets start falling from the sky. Storm
  13. Greets from Afghanistan

Just landed from a sortie over Iraq myself. We flew 40 flags in rememberance. Stay safe! Might be over your way in the next day or two. Storm

  16. Does anyone have a decent tutorial on editing the aircraft's FM? I'd like to give the Herk some help since it's a fairly simple aircraft and I've got several hours in it, to use as a comparison. I'd like to kill some of it's tendency to lift off at 90kts and keep climbing, even in level flight. It needs some love. Thanks! Jeff
  17. Even on my laptop, WoV+Green Hell+Widesky rocks! Cant wait to get home and run it on high-res.
  18. Oh yea, if it's in the mags or on the net, it's gotta be true. Here's another jewel: Click me Jeff
  19. A fix for problem #2 is to add the Litening Pod to your weapons file and then add the LP to the A-10's data.ini file on the pylon you want it to be carried. About 5 minutes of work and you are set. I've already done it to create a bastardized A-10C, minus the cockpit. Storm
  20. This brings up a question I've got. Can an anchor point be used by an aircraft? Specifically can a mission be created where the tanker orbits in a race track continuously and is in line with your waypoints? I've seen some of the sample A/R missions, but these stretch out prety far. Our legs are roughly 30-40 miles long and 20 miles wide if using a racetrack style of orbit. Enroute rendezvous are also used where we just fly a long track. As far as realism goes, long missions are a must, with A/R somewhere in between. I would like to see more of them. Storm
  21. My first trip to the UK....

I'll be stopping through on my way home from this deployment in a few weeks. Hopefully the weather is decent and I have some daylight left to visit the Lakenheath or Coningsby approaches for a few photos. That's my idea of relaxation after this trip. Storm
  22. Looks great. I hated that they lost the dk grey tails after their deployment. I was glad that I got to refuel them prior to the repaint. -Storm
  23. Love the skins. Got something for you that I'll post soon. I'm sure you'll like it since you're on a Tonka kick. Jeff
  24. In between modding the GR.4, I've been taking some time with the M2000D. I love it. I did edit the DATA and LOADOUT inis a bit to allow it to carry the BRU-57 twin bomb rack on the center pylon. Now it carries twin GBU-12E as I saw them a few days ago over OEF. Great job! Jeff
