  1. Great job on the insult. At no time did anyone attack the ability of the IAF. Some simple comments were made about how the Flanker would be used in Red Flag but you had to turn it political and imply that we would sell you out. Get a clue. By any chance are you an actual member of the IAF, or just someone who watches a lot of news?
  2. I've already figured out the flares for the tailboom mounted dispensers. See my reply over in Marcello's release thread. The work is already done for you. If you want to create the Mi-17V as seen above, some minor editing can be done since the dispensers are moved. Looking forward to flying the -17 Hip. Storm
  3. See this thread. Apparently, you have to have AA turned on with WoI in order to get it to work. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...50&hl=Anti- Storm
  4. A Good Sim You Aren't Playing

MiG Alley had so much potential. I loved the contrails all over the sky. Which Korean War sim had you start out in training in the T-6? You had an instructor in the back that would critique everything. I didnt think it was MA, but could be wrong. That one always CTD after a few mins.
  5. F/A-18 Interceptor was my real first sim. I tried the original Falcon also and from then on, was hooked. Storm
  6. My best friend is going and will be allowed inside to photograph the launch and recoveries. Unfortunately, I'll be back in the real fight and will miss another good deal. I'll be looking forward to seeing the photos though. I do wonder if the IAF will actually use their Flanker's full potential or hamstring themselves again, like over in the UK, by leaving the radars off. Storm
  7. Thank You MK2

Thanks for stepping up with the $ to set up this little haven for us simmers. It's a great group. Jeff
  8. The Nicest Thing...

Nice story Dave. Glad to hear that there are a few people left that actually bring their children up to appreciate the military.
  9. F-16 Aggressors in Alaska

It's known as the "Holstein" by the non-Aggressor dudes due to the colors. Nice to see the USAF getting a bit creative with it's camo finally.
  10. Airbus A400M Roll-Out

Last week, we stopped over at Moron AB near Seville. They had one of the A400 engines on a run stand. Apparently, it's really behind schedule and the first flight has been pushed back (as was said in the article) because of it. Interesting looking aircraft though.
  11. Depending on the timeframe, you could use several aircraft. The 16th SOS was assigned to the 8th TFW. F-4D were sometimes used as nighttime escorts. For a truly low-speed escort, the A-1E/H Skyraiders would work well. Back in the mid 90's, AFSOC was testing out the A-10 as a Spec Ops escort. They wanted to purchase some of their own and use them in conjunction with the Talons, Spectre/Spooky and helos. ACC wouldnt fess any up. Storm
  12. Without being in front of my gaming comp, is the -87 pods availabe in the weapons pack or are they something you've cooked up for yourself? Storm
  13. Klav, that is gorgeous. Are you planning on selling prints? I'd get one framed. Storm
  14. Got my son hooked on WoV

My 9 year old son is always watching me play my sims and will on occasion try his own flight. It usually ends up in a crash, but he likes it. So yesterday, I installed WoV onto his computer and after a bit of explaining, we took to the virtual skies. Hamachi was the link, and it worked great. I think we've got another Thirdwire fan in the works. Storm
  15. I Love Guam!

Haha, nice TDY location. I guess we wont expect much from you over the next 4 months. ;) Enjoy!
  16. The German AF has some on contract as EW Aggressors. I believe they are -35s though and only a couple of -25s left. Anyhow, they carry a variety of pods under the wings to simulate other aircraft or threats to ships during exercises. Could be something to add. Storm
  17. Nice skin. That pair 'o dice is excellent on that red nose. Have to keep my head on a swivel for that one.
  18. RAF defeats USAF ...

Thats awesome! Relaxing the regs a bit during a deployment, not only helps with morale, but also shows that the focus is actually on the war. There are several Sr NCOs and E-9s that need that small reminder. BTW, I've refueled that dude over the 'Stan. He's a nice chap.
  19. Thanks for the early gift Geo. D/Ling now. Storm
  20. Very nice! That definately looks the part. Well done. Storm P.S. Do you need cockpit photos?
  21. Love it! Looking forward to D/Ling it. Greetings from Espana! Storm
  22. Title says it all. His Tigercats will fill some holes in my Korea installation. On that note, are they're any skins for the F4U-5N Nightfighter? Might have to dust off the ol' paint brush. TIA!
  23. Each of the CFM-56 engines has 22,000lbs of thrust. We've got no thrust reversers. Basic weight for an R-model is about 120,000lbs giver or take 3K. A jet with the MPRS pods will add about 5K and an R/T (receiver/tanker) is about 123K. The only thing I'm thinking is that the fuselage looks a bit too fat. Just my eye. I love her though! Jeff
  24. D-Day June 6th, 1944

  25. Let me know what kind of info you need on it (weights, fuel per tank, etc...) I'm looking forward to this. Storm
