  2. Aggie, The CTD happens in both single and campaign modes. Usually about 90% complete on the loading screen. It goes black and goes back to desktop. The above is the same things I get each time. The SFP1 install is fully patched to the current 08-30-06 as you required. The only thing I'm lacking is the July 06 weapons pack, but your README didnt specify that it was required in addition. So, since I'm the only one with this problem, I've got no clue as to what I can do to fix it. I'm obviously missing something. Off to fly, but will check back after we land. Thanks! Jeff

    Just efficiency cancelled due to alot of gas in the AOR today, so I thought I say hello to you guys since I've got some time. Two weeks in and we've flown everyday except for two. Nice to be in the air doing what we do best. I've had a few oppurtunities for photos, and hope for more. I'll post them upon my return. Great job on the F-22. Just d/l'd it today and will take it back to the hootch and install it on the laptop for a quick spin. Also the new forest/farm mod looks nice. Got it too. Ya'll take care and keep up the great work.   6. And that wont get us anymore aircraft either. Mosley was told to stop the force reduction as it wasnt necessary, but insisted and kept on with it. Manpower and Aircraft are two separate pots of money. Congress has to approve the shift of funds. He might as well start wearing a business suit instead of a uniform. So far, he hasnt done much to help out the home team.

  10. Took this for a few flights this morning and love it. My first attempt wasnt good as I had forgotten to change the FM to HARD. I fly the game in NORMAL as the jets act goofy on HARD. Anyhow, after the quick change, I was hovering in no time. Really stable. Off into the pattern (using the Highway Strip as my base) and it accelerates quickly. On downwind, I'm trying to cycle the pods to a 45 degree to slow down, but it's tough. She wants to speed. Turning base, I drop the gear at 200kts and cycle the pods to about 80 degrees. The buffet is there at 110 as the README stated. I quickly go full 90 on the pods and bleed aff more speed using a slight pitch up angle. For some reason though, it likes to rock back and forth between 100kts and 50kts, then settles down below 50kts. A nice slow descent into another hover over the pad and I'm down. Great job Zur!   11. Flew the first mission last night and actually made it to the target area. All of the AI Phantoms were circling the attack point at FL200-240. No targets showed up to attack though. This was farther than the previous mission got to though, so I'm making progress. When I tried Alt-N to speed to the landing WP, the game CTD. I'll keep trying different things though to see what might be causing this. Thanks! Storm
  12. Going back through the install and am trying to figure out why the game is crashing after a short time. I've read the post from Dave on not having to mod the GroundObjectData.ini anymore, but I'm still lost as the directions for each ship or vehicle still talks about editing that file. Should I simply place all of the new ground objects into the GroundObject folder and leave it at that? Storm

  15. I too am backing the Gripen. I'm not in favor of the F-35 at all. We wont get them in the numbers that are needed to replace the Vipers/Hawgs/Hornets/Harriers anyhow, so why bother? Making do with less is BS when the current gen of aircraft are still formidable. Just purchase new ones at a fraction of the cost and incorporate new technology. Just my $.02 Storm

  23. Again, with time, the F-2 evolved from the F-16. The F-2 is a direct offshoot of the F-16 "AGILE FALCON" program. The larger wing and other redesigns were mostly completed already by LockMart when Mitsubishi Ind. approached them with the program. Both companies tweaked it for maritime strike (thats where the two-piece canopy came from) and you had the F-2. It was great to see it produced, but I wish our own Air Force would have been able to get some. Same goes for the F-16E/F/I. Storm
  24. Cannot tell from the angle and glare on the canopy, but is it a single or twin seat? Looks a bit smaller in span than the F-22, but again, I have nothing to give it scale. The green camo is interesting also. True statement. Plus they have the advantages of time. The F-22 is an old design from the 80's and refined in the 90's after it was selected. If we ever sold them the F-22, it would more than likely be a stripped jet, and they would install their own electronics, much like the Israelis do. Storm
