  1. Ive been looking for a hotfix for the pylon angle problem some time ago (Feb 2016 says my test bed file F-16CM_B52 data ini) Ive added a new component with new systems. The systems are flaps with a permanent angle which moves the offending pylon/launcher. IIRC, that worked as advertised but did not for the launcher/towed decoy combo mesh on several F-16 variants. Perhaps a hierarchy issue or something else. The weapon attachment angles require edits to match the "flapped" pylon/launcher angle Ive attached my modified testbed file - note that the "PylonAngles" component lacks entries like MassFraction=0 and perhaps another thing or two (FM experts to consult) F-16CM_B52_Data.INI
  2. About 10 A-6E were modified for AGM-78 when the A-6B went into retirement. AIM-7M, and on F-4G only after 1991 for the last few years in service.
  3. C.12, Spanish AF started with AIM-9B which were upgraded to/replaced with AIM-9J very quickly. The AIM-9J were again upgraded to AIM-9N-2. Upgrade was made by the EdA themself, they are different visually (coloring) from US-upgraded 9N-2 in service with e.g. Belgium. Sparrow variant was the AIM-7E during the whole service life with EdA. Gun pod SUU-16 Spain received ECM pods, "3-can" (6 antennas) ALQ-87 and the ALQ-72 Other stores in service with Spain: BLU-1, LAU-3A, BR-250, BR-500 Sipri database, yep, its a good source for basic info/research leads and not without errors, even missing known transfers entirely. Useful for a general idea about acquisition/service entry of equipment.

  5. The sipri.org arms transfer database is another source, at least for an initial lead on various things. From memory: Egypt started with 9J's on the F-4E, quickly supplanted by AIM-9P-3 and also received AIM-9P-4 later in the 80's for F-16C. AIM-7E and E-2 for F-4E (dont know atm if they received the improved E-3). Mirages were fitted with Magic 1 and modified for AIM-9P-3, Ive seen photos of both configurations. The Farmers were modified for the 9P-3. EDIT: missile type (and some other info) from the 10+ years old Osprey books is outdated.
  6. Typo in the Attack sections , missing the S in Start... BTW: Iran had only the AIM-9J and a special export variant of the AIM-7E (AIM-7E IRAN). And thats it.
  7. View File A-10A_Early_HUD_v1_SF2E This mod replaces the stock HUDs in the TW SF2E A-10A's with the early HUD displays for 70's era A-10 avionics. Submitter Crusader Submitted 12/30/2011 Category Avionics
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jYs6hjX3fY fueltank dispensers were experimental, the fuselage dispensers became standard. Would have to look up details (version, IOC) in the books if required
  9. The large box indicates total fuel, in lb's as set in the cockpit ini Max indicated value is set to 32033.0 lb The data ini should have the fuel quantity set in kg Screenies are showing that the EFT content is added to the total indicated by the large box. So the max value is set too high for indicating only internal fuel, probably. I'll have to reactivate the SH in my install and then see what alternative setups I can make.

  19. Even easier if it works with just the SystemType. As long as the added object (missile) doesn't need a yaw angle.
  20. Yes, by making the object to be added a missile/rocket which is never launched. The GO (Jeep in your case) needs a WeaponSystem section with a missile launcher. Can be a bit ini-editing intensive until it looks right, but its possible.. see my WIP pic of a Quad .50 on the TW CargoShip mast (still unfinished) For positioning, example from my wip for the directions WeaponPosition=0.0,40.0,23.0 // ------- ------------ = L/R, F/B, U/D from GO center
  21. There was an avalanche of patches/updates during the heydays of SF2. What worked in a certain way with one game version became nonfunctional with the next version. Its possible that before SF2I (which brought the F-16A) RCS "worked" with low negative values. And it changed subsequently. Older posts from years back are or can be connected to a certain game version. not to mention that individual users often did not update to the latest version because of personal preferences or "new bug avoidance"
  22. You are on the right track. Its a bit of confusion/confounding of the [AircraftData] section with the AircraftShortName= This line is only used for in-game text display purposes, not connected to the RWR and The "aircrafts" data ini, e.g. MiG-29M_data.ini which contains the [DetectSystem] section with the important RadarFamilyName= entry And this (example) RadarFamilyName=MiG-29M designation is what goes into the first part of the list in the .lst file, calling the appropriate texture MiG-29M=RWR_MiG-29M.tga If the RadarFamilyName= line is missing, simply add it. Several older mods dont have it or it has been overlooked during upgrade/conversion from SF1 to SF2 This explanation should be more exact
  23. Do not use negative RCS values. More here:
