  5. hehe.. such encounters are the fun stuff ... it doesnt get boring you can - make them run out of Alamo's - then try to catch them somehow from below/behind ... much fun 'cause they still have 4 Archers each - hide yourself and hope they dont see you - lure them into own SAM engagement zones if possible - < next guy insert other cool ideas here >
  6. aircraftobject ini is not extracted by default, only used if somehting is modded in it (like AI characteristics). problem is that this ini also contains entries for the keyboard controls, and those were changed over the time ( new stuff added) I'd say temporarly remove the aircraftobject ini and see if that is a solution, if not, delete ALL your Control profiles from the controls folder ( a new Default.ini will be created upon game start ) and then remap your controls from scratch Also notice that Control ini's were also changed over time ( new entries), so old pre october 2008 patch profiles are incompatible withthe latest patch, iirc.
  7. no time but we have a WiP C kite ... since 2 years or so :D I lost my WiP files a couple times Thats how the radar looks (or looked - I think I have a backup somewhere)
  8. quick guide... the default stuff should be clear.. guncross, left airspeed scale ( with current G readout on top), right altitude scale the left datablock shows, top to bottom : - master arm status - aircraft Mach - max G readout - weapon mode: LCOS,MSLS, STRF, CCIP etc the right datablock, top to bottom : - target range in NM ( xxx if no radar lock) - target closure speed in knots (xxxx if no radar lock ) - range to waypoint and waypoint # (014006 = 14 nm to wp 6) - radar altitude in feet thats what you see in the A2A mode screenie ... in MSLS ( missiles, short range) mode, you get a seeker FOV circle... in NAV mode, the 2nd line of the right datablock shows 00: 00 , thats a fixed readout.. the real jet has time to go to next waypoint displayed.
