Alright I got to play around in Sebastopol tonight, and I must say that the city is way better looking in comparison to FB. There are dry docks, monuments, buses driving around, smoke stacks, I shot down a radio tower (it didnt fall over it fell straight down> talk about modeling). Had some freaky things happen with the water (it went into like rainbow colors... didnt know APDU ammo did that to water :D ). I thought this was just gonna be another cheesy modeled sim with the environment, but no, I dropped 2 mk84's on the old Sebastopol fortress, and to my suprise... it blew up, and continued to burn. I got to knock out a couple dry docks, and got real close, and the lighting really kicks ass. Anyway heres a couple of screens for you guys that might be having probs with the demo, or dont have it yet. Note: these screens are taken on medium settings.

there was wheel smoke in this one, but I snapped it to slowly.... my system has some probs (fps) with all the graphics turned on, but I'm sure it will get better with the newer versions.

I got into a knife fight with a flock of methamphetamine addicted wood peckers. First they knocked out my ailerons, so I tried to climb then they cut off the rest of the controls and the engines........... or maybe it wasnt wood peckers....... maybe that ZSU-23 had something to do with it......... note to self; stop doing mescaline when playing flight sims. Here's another screen of me getting all messed up, I dont know how I put the fire out but my engines were toast and I was in a flat spin.

Well this is certainly interesting.... passing judgement on an endproduct from the performance of a beta 5 demo.... hmmm... last I heard ED was on beta 10. Ya I dont like my planes not flying level, and there was some graphics shifting and the FPS wasnt all that great.... and then guess what.... I turned down my settings a bit and now my fps kicks ass, and I find the graphics to be more than acceptable. The planes still tend to roll a bit, but I just compensate.... good at it from playing FB and getting shot to sh*t. All the probs will be fixed, rest assured of that. But hey if you wanna boycott a product becuase some mag couldnt wait a couple more days, well feel free to do so. But dont get jealous when people start posting screens of the hottest sim to ever come out.... and ya it does look better than SF, atleast the lighting and the environment, and SF textures shift, I havent seen that in the demo. Not flaming, I'm just a little dissappointed with this thread. I hope you enjoy waiting on that super sim.... I havent heard of any new ones in the works lately. I was checkin on ESPN.com today for the NFL scores that I missed, and noticed that Bobby had released a statement about Rix, and what I read makes me think Bobby may need to retire. Here's the article. Associated Press TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Bobby Bowden was emphatic: Chris Rix is his quarterback, period. Unlike last year when Rix was benched midway through the season, Bowden made it clear Sunday that his mistake-prone junior quarterback gives the Seminoles their best chance of winning regardless of how many turnovers he makes. "There's no question on it," Bowden said Sunday. Rix had four turnovers in the first half of a 22-14 loss to Miami that dropped the Seminoles (5-1, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) from fifth to seventh in the AP poll. Bowden said Rix's speed and mobility give him a big edge over backups Fabian Walker and Wyatt Sexton. Walker, who started in the Sugar Bowl loss to Georgia and is the No. 2 quarterback, has thrown 23 passes this season and Sexton five. "What's the difference between our quarterback and anybody that lost yesterday?" asked Bowden, now 11-17 at Florida State against the Hurricanes. "You've got to make good decisions," Bowden said. "You can make that assessment about any quarterback." Rix, who completed 20 of 42 passes for 235 yards against Miami, was also sacked three times. He is now 19-8 as a starter at Florida State and 0-3 against Miami. After a midseason loss to Notre Dame last year when Rix had three turnovers, Bowden benched him in favor of Adrian McPherson, whose career ended four games later after he found himself in the middle of gambling allegations. Bowden also defended a decision to run Greg Jones three straight times into the middle of Miami's line in an aborted scoring drive midway through the fourth quarter. Jones hadn't gained more than 3 yards on a single carry all day and finished with 15 yards on 13 attempts. Bowden said that Miami's secondary was just too good to risk a pass into the end zone at that stage of the game. Rix has had little luck playing in rainy conditions like those in Saturday's game. He was 14-for-33 for 173 yards and threw an interception in overtime that set up a game-winning touchdown by Louisville under similar playing conditions a year ago. "We had a plan," Bowden said. "The plan was based on normal conditions." While Bowden lamented the drizzly conditions, which negated some offense options, he didn't criticize school officials responsible for a playing surface he'd described a day earlier as the worst he'd ever seen. "I've never seen the field like that as long as we've been here," Bowden said Sunday, noting that the drainage plan "didn't work." The offensive line also remains a concern for Florida State. Guard Bobby Meeks continues to suffer from asthma, leaving him questionable game-to-game and his backup Eric Broe could be out for the season while center David Castillo is also injury-prone. Bowden, now in his 28th season at Florida State, also missed a chance to tie Penn State's Joe Paterno with the most career wins in Division I-A at 338. Anyway he still defends Rix, which is BS... the kid cant win the big game. He got cred for beating UF last year, but I was at that game, and UF looked like crap. I think Bobby needs to step down after this year, let Joe Pa have the record, and give the reins over to Micky, and maybe bring in ANYONE that can run the offense, cause Lil' Jeff aint cutting it. Christ I'd rather have Spur as offensive coordinator...... thats how pissed I am.

It's club hockey.... Student Gov. gives us some cash (3k this year).... Ice time is really expensive.... I just shelled out 450 for ice and jerseys.... and I pay for my own travel expenses. Even though its club hockey, there are some real good teams. Georgia Tech has been at it for like 30 yrs, and they can hold their own against a good chunk of DII teams.... think its all those Russians and Euros tryin to be American engineers. As for my wieght... I'm no football player, I dont have the genetics to put on alot of weight.... I eat and lift, but I stay the same size just get a little more toned.... dunno maybe creatine is the answer.

Oh man friday was a kick ass night, we had UM fans and FSU fans all gettin tore together (talkin smack but it was all good), and we were pretty confident, until about 12:30 pm.... saturday It's been raining for days, and everyone is pissed about the loss... whole f*ckin town seems to be on deppressants.... except for Gordo's..... all those Cubans comin up from Miami..... F*CK THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for me I'm gonna go to sleep and try and forget about all the sh*t that was today.

Wrong! I am a history major (Ima Junior... gotta have a major... kinda.) Teaching....Nah, I'm gonna take the LSAT next year and hopefully kick ass... I just had a midterm in Mass Media Law; gotta 94% and havent read or studied a bit for that class. :P So I wanna be a lawyer, if no law school will take me.... then I'm off to the Navy and to OCS :D Roller Hockey boomed in FL about 8 10 years ago, then those Yanks started really movin in, and built Ice rinks. They are all over the state now.... except in Tally, we have no home rink and very little practice. I'm hoping to improve the record of last year (1 win) of which I was not a part of.
