  1. Bertuzzi's So Called "attack" On Moore

I wish we were division I. We fall under the Division III category, but we play teams of Division II quality. Georgia Tech has had a program for almost 30 years, and Georgia is definatly up to DII standards. They went all the way to the championship game for nationals, but lost to Calvin College (some Michigan school). Needless to say they kicked our ass the 2 times we played them. Thing about college hockey is that there are not many DI schools, because the NCAA has to stay competetive with the Major Junior leagues of Canada, and the Elite leagues of Europe. Saddly there is no ice in Tallahassee anymore, not since the ECHL's Tigershark's left a few years ago (mainly because the Tallahassee Civic Center is run by pricks). So we dont practice often, while teams like UGA, GT, U. of South Florida, and U. Central Florida all have atleast 3-4 practices a week. And since they have home ice, they get sponsors (that UGA guy has a Willy Wonka patch on his shoulder). The sponsors pay for the ice and all the other good stuff (notice we wear black pants, helmets, gloves and stuff, and they have full uniforms). Our seasons start in October, and end in February or March. I guess you could say that Division III anything is not much more than a travel team, since we dont get much support from the school and have to go out and hustle for money.

Thought I'd just throw this pic in, maybe Seawolf will even get a kick out of it. More FSU Hockey picks like this one here, http://www.sportsatlanta.net/icehockey.shtml just scroll down for the games that have us in them (should be 2 vs UGA, 1 vs GT, and 1 vs the Gators)
  3. The Helo That Took Out Yasin

We could use Chris Rix as a secret weapon, to take all his parking spots.
  4. The Helo That Took Out Yasin

I guess Yasin is, or was a cripple? While we're talking of wheelchairs, I saw a cop pull over some dude in a wheelchair in Orlando a few years ago, my only thought was WHOA! WTF?
  5. Hmmm, is it going to be another X-Pack or a new game? I think it would be cool to have one gigantic all encompassing WWII flight sim. Edit: Hmmm just read the forum, they dont know what its gonna be yet.... all I can say is BONZAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. I Need To Vent.

Ah children, I do hate them so, I really do, they are the current scurge of the planet (next to camel f*ckers). I didnt always hate kids; then I took Child Care, in my senior year of HS. It was my first period class (started at like 7:15). Now imagine dragging your ass outa bed and having to deal with about 20 loud undisciplined (teachers kids) all running around screaming and throwing toys, and demanding to go outside; but you have to tell them, "you have to do a planned (that we had to make) activity before you go outside", and they always refused to do an activity. And you couldnt yell at the kids, or swear around them, let alone spank them. Otherwise there parent (a teacher at my HS) would probably file charges against you. There was only one kid worth a damn, a little Japanese/American kid named Vincent, who only wanted to listen to me read him stories. I loved being assigned reading corner, because I got to sit in a lazy boy while I read, most of the time I would fall asleep and be awaken by my evil teacher Ms Balsarak (or Balls Rake as I called her). As for my childhood. My parents were divorced when I was 5. My mom was a real believer in total good christian moral control.... through yelling and spanking. My dad, an big drinker and former USN Chief loved to swear and use a backhand. So ya I turned out okay. My nephew is turning out as good as he possibly could in this day in age. He's five, and yes he still gets spanked, thankfully he just got himself a baby sister, and wont be a spoiled only child anymore. But with the exceptions of Vincent, my nephew Blake, and my new neice Nadia, I HATE CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Just Got Back From A Local Punk Show

Punk? Oh that dead genre that has been replaced with "You look the part, so you must be Punk then" Saw a kid in Lauderdale about a month back; had on designer jeans and what seemed to be a custom made leather jacket, you know the ones punks used to make with their own hands, with the patches and s**t. Anyway he had an Exploited, and a Casualties patch on this thing, and I stopped to ask "so what do you think Wattie was trying to get across in Massacre of Innocents" (an exploited song), needless to say he had no idea who I was talking about. Back to the jacket thing, I was in some shop in the mall about a week back, and noticed similar jackets being sold along with belts and pants. This was no corner headshop where mom and pop junkies sweat out hours selling to impoverished Punkers their home made trinkets, this was a CHAIN STORE!!!! Atleast they had some vinyl there, oddly enough I found Paul van Dyk's new single, some remix of an old Sunscreem song (neither are rock), and picked up the Deftones latest on vinyl too, so the trip wasnt all that bad. These instances leaving me rather upset over the state of my formerly beloved Punk. A once great genre that had a political and moral message that has been prostituted to no end, and now hails bands such as Good Charlotte and MXPX as heros. No wonder Joe Strummer kicked off a little early (ya the drugs had somethin to do with it ). May he and Punk rest in peace. Hope your local punk bands are keepin it real, and not selling out.
  13. I havent seen any. And I'm more or less an IL2 freak.

  15. Somethin I been wantin to do since I saw the screen of the Tirpitz.... who needs airpower in a flightsim, bring on the real guns.
  16. Ooooooh Ahhhhhhh, finally, we'll see some American planes that can really tangle with those zero's in a dogfight. Getting tired of the LA-7, but the spit's suiting me just fine right now. How bout that P-38. Oh man, Hellcat's and Corsair's. Oleg says October, oh goody. This sim title will never die with this amount of dedication. Maybe I'll go trade in my CFS titles at EB, there wont ever be a need for them again.
  17. Beware the Tirpitz. I created a rather popular online map with the Tirpitz and the Niobi* AA Cruiser positioned at the mouth of the harbour firing against every available Soviet ship. It looks really cool when its dark, but as soon as the sun starts comin up the Tirpitz sinks every single Soviet ship. From what I've seen the only way to get the Tirpitz down is with lots and lots of torps and BIG bombs, from multiple aircraft. It is by far the toughest nut to crack in the game. One more thing I noticed. King Tigers are virtually impossible to kill from the air. I dropped 1800 kg bombs all over a tank group and the Panthers and Tigers stood firm. Only when the sun comes up in the aforementioned mission, and the Kirov and Marat can bring accurate fire against the tigers seems to knock them out. And oh yeah, the fire looks a whole lot better in AEP. Sh*t I dont know how to post screens on the UBI boards, sorry all that UBB and HTML stuff really confuses me. Seems our system here is a much more simple B) PC, maybe you could post it for me.
  18. Bertuzzi's So Called "attack" On Moore

Ya slickwilli, last time I was in Sunrise (North Miami) for a Leafs at Panthers game, there were probably 10,000 people there, atleast 60% were wearing blue and white, I was probably the only American in my section wearing a Leafs jersey, the Canadians were a little baffled when I told them I was a Floridian. Oh Dagger, the Caps slowly working their way to the bottom of the Eastern Conference, but hey atleast they have a really low team salary since they've traded everyone except for Kolzig. And for Chaingun, when anyone plays any sport they are then subject to the rules of the game, and should not be governed by outside laws. This is why they make us sign waivers and crap, getting rid of liability and saving the rights of sports to govern themselves.
  19. Bertuzzi's So Called "attack" On Moore

Sorry to hear that your team isn't in the finals, bye god I pray the Leafs win the Cup this year. I almost cried last year, and my team (Toronto) didn't even win. :( Hockey is a great game, the best of games IMO. I've never felt so happy being on the ice.... never, nothing compares to playing in a hockey game.
  20. Locked?

Seawolf, apology accepted. Oddly enough you and Chief have been abroad, as have I. Although your visits were undoubtedly via the U.S. Navy. And you have seen rather crap places as a result of those trips. My trips have primarily been to the UK and Europe when allowed to join my dad on his meetings with EuroControl, BAE, etc. Toronto, Tiajana, and Nassau Bahamas were just for tourist BS. You have your thoughts and fears about the not so glamorous places, and have your experiences there. And I have my experiences. When I questioned your experience or learnedness, it had nothing to do with the election or current issues, merely to do with the statement you made about the Brits controlling things over here some 230 years ago. As a history major, and anti-propogandist (which is what public school is), I was quick to jump the gun on what may have seemed to be a meaningless statement. For that I apologize. But I defend Great Britain in almost all cases, simply because it is my second favorite country, and have learned their past aswell as ours, and their relation. For some reason I consider it my job to correct historical misconceptions (I'm no Ph.D, but what the heck), because I find it to be really really annoying. I can deal with political disputes, because they are almost always nothing more than a difference of opinion, but false history is something I cant let go of. So again, sorry. And Chief, go to Toronto, its cheap and its like the states, except instead of Denny's and IHOP they have Tim Horton's. No offense to the Canucks on the forum :D . One last thing. My least favorite country is France, and yes I've been there, let loose on the streets of Paris and Toulousse a number of times, and completely unsupervised. Whats your least favorite country?
