This has been in the works for a while as i had issues with the spawn files but they are a OK now... download the files to your desktop...put the folders missions and spawns into your main game folder and answer ''yes to all '' when prompted... if you wish to play the mission in single play you dont get the option of what aircraft you fly.... play in multi play even if you only play as a single player....you then get the option of flying from either side and can fly all flyable planes in the mission..... a little feedback please as i have no idea if these are working ok for you or not.... if you survive this flight as a German pilot my hat is off to you....very difficult but also very rewarding....either escort the gothas or fly the gothas...the zepps are just in there for atmosphere but flyable none the less..... happy flying to all, PD The Great Dover Gotha Raid.rar
  2. haveing just talked with Axe i will attempt to exsplain the mission a little more fully.....it was written from the German perspective and the Gothas are on a bomb run of the army base just in front of the airfield they are aproaching...you will notice a train off to the left and although it is not a mission goal someone in the group can take it out...enemy camels are takeing off from the airfield as you approach and have to be taken care of if the bomber boys are going to survive....the zepps are returning to France and are in the mission for no other reason than i love those big suckers...following the waypoints home and landing at the base is a major accomplishment and can only be achieved in a co-op enviroment flying for the centeral powers.. the German fighter must protect the bombers and fly all the way back across the channel to their base in France..... flying the mission from the allied pespective can be very short and sweet as you only need shoot down the enemy planes and land in Dover.... no feedback as yet.......   3. Removing Aircraft Mismatches

    Its the planes in the mission that have to be the same...if you host with a different version of a plane then a mismatch will occure....eg,my n-17 has been altered to hold 2500 rounds.....bingo...we mismatch..... this is why groups that fly together as a tight knit group can mod away to their heartd content as long as everyone sticks with the program...even then you get nights when you pull your hair out... a good way around this is to have a modded and a none modded install....fly the modded with your online group.... fly the completly none modded with any who wish to join.... hope this helps.     this is a limitation of the mission builder......if you select the facilities first time into the new mission build and you can use as many as you wish then all will be well with the mission.......if you go into the mission and try to add a facility as a goal....ctd every time....didnt we cover this on another thread somewhere?? BRITISH....I see R.O.F. being mentioned as to where i am and what i am doing.....nope,still with the Boy's of 60 on a scaled down version and patiently waiting for CANVAS KNIGHTS to be released.... we fly IL-2 on line 10 times a week min 2 hrs a session......thats a lot of mission building let me tell you..... pd

Dawn's Early LighT A RFC raid on a German Airbase. 8 FE2b's with 4 forward scouts take off from Furne's flying over to Koksijde to pick up their 8- Sopwith Camel fighter Support.the 4 scouts will locate and mark targets for the bomber boys.Camel's at take off and circle the field at 2000 ft until the strike force arrives' We have been led to believe although the weather may change for the worse it is worth takeing the chance to attack the Hun base at Vlisseghem where plans are afoot to exspand the base operations there in an effort to esculate air operations against all allied bases within bomber strike distance hence our base is in grave danger.Troops,supplies,ammo trains and convoys will be ariveing at the base this am.lets go get em boy's. The Red Baron and his little brother are rumored to be in the area.... follow the waypoints and have at least one pilot mark the goal targets with flares in multi play....openening the mission will necessatate readjusting the aircraft heights. put the soawns in the spawns folder....they will not harm your game in any way shape or form....you have a single gotha spawn file,the red baron spawn file, red baron and luthor spawn file,and to airfield takeoff spawns for hannovers and d-vII's i believe......mission builders should be able to put them to good use....there are pleanty of seats in the mission for multi play as there are 16 alone in the bombers....   6. You must select and use the facility as a goal ''THE FIRST TIME YOU OPEN MISSION BUILDER'' and it will both save and play but if you go back in to the mission the second time you can not use the facility as a mission goal.....you will get mission failed to load or worse... PD

This is the same mission and will require the spawns from the previous mission in order to work properly... in single play i have made the two escapeing planes the player plane so they get a chance to fly from that perspective... if you survive this mission....you have accomplished the mission goal....it is about survival.....in a target rich inviroment...   8. you will need the spawn files from the previous mission upload to make this mission work.... in order to play out the escapeing pilots you must play this in multiplay and select the flight with only two camels.... ''The long Flight Home'' <SubTitle>two pilots escape their captors behind enemy lines and must survive ''the long flight home'' <Overview>two pilot forced down behind enemy lines have escaped their captors,fired up their plane's,and need assistence to get back home.Pilots in the British sector must locate and escort them back to the Allied base. The two escapeing pilots have their work cut out for them as the alarm has sounded and you will be under heavy machine gun fire when takeing off...to make matters worse the Hun have sent aircraft after you that you will most probably have to contend with in order to survive.Loiter in the Petrie area of the combat map,avoiding enemy contact if possible,until help arives...did i mention 4 dr-1's take off as you are rolling and under heavy machine gun fire.....the entire squadron is on the way to locate and escort you home......in single play the two camels will loiter and you must locate and protect them and then escort them home when they leave the area....should you play it in multi play and be one of the escapeing pilots.....have your nitro pills handy.....the goal of the mission is threefold.....locate the escapeing pilots and escort them home,attain the mission goals,first and foremost....SURVIVE... <SuccessMessage>well done Gentlemen,you can be proud to serve in this Squadron.</SuccessMessage> <FailureMessage>Rest assured the boy's knew you did everything possible to aid in their escape...may they rest in peace...</FailureMessage> PD...     mind boggleing stumper, i have always said........................U DA MAN!!!! I wont elaborate but we in the boys are in the same pue in a different church. to do this with O.F.F.is truly magnificent.......you have my CONGRATULATIONS award for sure. PD

    each mission has to have each persons plane in the mission as a standalone in their game in order for it to work. i had with the help of firestorm 12 in a mission and nightmare is to kind a word in order for it to work. we abandoned the plan. each aircraft has to be set in the mission one at a time and all players have to have them in the game. no one without the same set of planes can get in to the game.   14. just a helpfull suggestion gentlemen. although i am no longer involved with O.F.F. on line I still frequent the forume and will offer this observation. we in ''the Boy's of 60'' have had a calender in use for some time now. i always post game time's in both centeral north america and gmt europe so a post would look like this....... KOREA ........... 2:00 pm CST / 8:00 pm GMT on the date of the mission. by so doing it gives the player a time zone and a mission heading hope this will be of help. PD

  16. well done axe!!! you have to run your game with rules and regulations or the fun will soon go out of it. being a host is a huge responsibility to keep it both interesting and keeping the players in check,an ongoing and important part of online play.the sessions will soon deteriorate to a meaningless free for all as a ship without a captain is a ship in trouble. as you well know i am a bit of a dictator in my sessions but i know that ''the boy's'' know and appreciate the structured sessions are for the good of all and i indeed have their well being in mind as they well know. i would suggest that each host have their own way they wish to run their sessions posting too their exspectations and make them public knowledge such as you have done here.   23. just uploaded. different scenerio as you can fly from allied or centeral powers. you are in battle as soon as you join. the zepps are flyable and have gunner positions but there is no rearm and refuel for them the rearm and refuel aircraft are stationed a bit further from the action. most of all............enjoy. yes axe,just an old softie PD
