  1. FOV

Hmm, The FoV settings only go up to a maximum of 30 Horizontally and 20 vertically. 32/20 isn't achievable. Also, the minimum values won't allow a 16/10 ratio (min 20 Horitontally and 13 Vertically) Vasco
  2. FOV

    Olham, 1920x1200 - I think that's a 16:10 ratio. Regards, Vasco
  3. Hell yes! Thank God for TrackIR! Vasco
  4. FOV

Olham, Can you calculate what the settings should be for a widescreen monitor? Regards, Vasco
  5. new toy in the works

Nice work Dtumpy, Will it have operable guns? Vasco
  6. Gentlemen, I know some of you never pop into the multiplayer forum so I thought I'd bring your attention to this topic so you can see what you're missing! Fraps footage of Multiplayer in action If any of you are interested in getting in on the action, PM Winston DoRight or post in the Multiplayer forum - there's always at least a couple of us around on Team Speak to help you get set up. Regards, Vasco
  7. There can be problems (usually in selecting the sound sorce for input/output) but if you input the above settings correctly and you have no sound, we can talk you through it using the text facility in TS. Regards, Vasco
  8. Winder, It's working fine on my rig. The multiplayer files are loading automatically and I'm having no problems in single player either. There are a couple of tests I want to perform with Sitting Duck and Winston on compatibility before I submit a final report. Regards, Vasco
  9. Macklroy, Everything's set to 5 except terrain and scenery which are set to 4. In Overrides, High Resolution Z-Buffer and Terrain Texture Detail are the only visual-enhancing items checked. In my video card control panel I've also overridden Anisotropic Filtering and Antialiasing for CFS3.exe and CFS3MP.exe and set them both to 8X. Vasco
  10. Yep, but did you spot the noob mistake of forgetting to adjust the mixture setting when I dived after the first one? I though I was toast at that point, never mind when tracer streaked past my cockpit when the Albatross I disengaged from to assist that Nieuport got on my tail. I was bricking it big time! Vasco
  11. Hi MadMatt, Sitting Duck, Winston DoRight and I reported the issues (with screenshots demonstrating the problems) in this thread here (see the third page of the thread). Winder is looking at the issues now. Regards, Vasco
  12. Setting up multiplayer is quite straightforward actually; I'll give you the process here: 1. Download MadMatt's Multiplayer Autoinstaller available here (the installer drops everything in the right folders and doesn't affect your single player settings) 2. When prompted, say yes to downloading/installing the hard damage model (it's what we all use in multiplayer) 3. Download and install the TeamSpeak 2 Client for your operating system here 4. Connect to Outlaw's TeamSpeak server using the following settings: a. server address 217.155.102.217:8767 (note colon befor 8767) b. Logon name is whatever you chose c. Password is camel 5. Talk to anyone on of us on TeamSpeak (there's usually at least one of us on there most days) and we'll talk you through the final settings in Over Flanders Fields and make sure you're setup correctly. Job done! Regards, Vasco
  13. JimAttrill, 'Winston's Early Birds' multiplayer session takes place at 7PM local time in the UK so it would be just 9PM your time. Check out the calendar for the exact details. We usually form up on Outlaw's TeamSpeak server just before take off (details are all in the sticky in the Multiplayer forum). If the mike connection on you MoBo is knackered, have you considered buying a cheap USB desk mike that doesn't need the normal mike socket? If not, you can still fly quite happily without a microphone but stick close to your wingmen - typing 'HELP!' in the chat bar may not get you the immediate assistance you need in an emergency. Just jump on to TeamSpeak (you can also type messages) and any one of a number of us will help you set things up properly. Regards, Vasco
  14. Evasion Tactics

Welcome to our world! The bottom line is you do whatever it takes to survive. I've had to nurse a damaged aircraft back across the lines at under 2,000' on many occasions, skimmed trees and dropped her right on top of our communication trenches. Whatever it takes!
  15. Gentlemen, Please find attached a fraps video of Dudley and Axgrinder discussing their performance during the multiplayer session today: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
  16. Guys, I've had some positive responses to a suggestion I made about running an online campaign for the RFC during Bloody April. I've selected 29 Squadron RFC as the participant's units and I'm already putting the missions together (The weather's s**t and we're flying Lewis-armed Neuiport 17's with less than 300 rounds against the Albatross). Can I have an idea of numbers so I can make sure the mission has enough rides for everybody? P.S. Wearing barbed wire underwear during the missions is compulsory!
  17. Are you happy with OFF multiplayer?

Winder, Winston and I (and very probably Sitting Duck) would be more than happy to test fully any utilities you put together to enhance multiplayer. Please could you provide a link or other method of downloading the software for testing. Regards, Vasco
  18. Are you happy with OFF multiplayer?

I voted yes because even with the incorrect rendering of aircraft encountered in dogfights matches, co-operative missions are still eminently playable and highly enjoyable - replacing AI wingmen with real people is about as good as it gets for me. I did find it frustrating that the new patch introduced further problems in multiplayer, but I'm pleased we figured out how to overcome them temporarily and that Winder has consented to look into the issue. Perhaps one day multiplayer will recieve as much love as the development team lavishes on the single-player campaign. If they do, then this really will be the pre-eminent WWI flight sim in all respects.
  19. Guys, My copy of OFF arrived this morning and I've been trying to get the simulation running using a CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Pedals and a TrackIR4. I have trawled the FAQs and posts relating to controller conflicts, changes to the 'Mine.xca' file and the deletion and assignment of axes within the game itself - all to no avail. The symptoms are either the failure of the controllers in flight (including TrackIR4) shortly after take off or a failure to function from the start of the mission. The assistance in the FAQs/post have failed because: 1. Deletion of the axes within the game and creating a 'Mine.xca' fails because setting axes fails as no control movements are recognised. 2. Manual editing of the 'Mine.xca' file to remove apparent conflicts has not resolved the problem Is there any one out there with a similar rig who can provide me with a copy of their 'Mine.xca' to see if that resolves the issue or knows how to solve these problems? P.S. My PC's running Vista (spit!)
  20. Correction to the post above - It is the Nieuport 17 LEWIS that is corrupted, not the Vickers version as posted. What happened to the edit button?
  21. Winder, Further to Sitting Duck, Winston DoRight and my report earlier we reran the tests ensuring each of us ran multiplayer via the OFF Manager. Our findings are as follows: The Nieuport 17 Vickers, both versions of the Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter and the Sopwith Triplane 2-gun (tested as a result of Madmatt's post) all exhibited the following behaviours: Host: No issues - the aircraft could be flown and viewed as intended. Clients: When attempting to join a multiplayer mission as a pilot in any of these aircraft the the game crashed back to the OFF Manager main screen. When joining the game in any other aircraft, the above named planes were invisible except for the aircraft label which was corrupted. The screenshots below illustrate the problem In each of these tests, the host was Sitting Duck and the clients were Winstion DoRight and I. Thank you for your attention. Regards, Vasco
  22. British_eh, You'll be most heartily welcome and anything you're able to do to assist in the promotion MP in OFF would be most appreciated!
  23. If you gits would all turn up on time on a Sunday perhaps I could get to bed BEFORE 5AM! :black eye: Thank God for caffine!
  24. Guys, Because of the changes I have had to make to the aircraft in the Bloody April missions (The Nieuport 17 Lewis and both versions of the Spwith 1 1/2 Strutter are porked in MP), the skins on the Nieuport 17 Vickers we're going to be flying have French markings. However, Stumpjumper has come up trumps yet again and has provided me with a British skin for the event on Sunday! If you wish to add to the immersion for this series of tough missions, download this file and unzip it into your OBD Software/CFSWWI Over Flanders Fields/aircrafts/Nieuport 17_Sqd/textures folder REMEMBERING TO BACKUP THE ORIGINAL FILE FIRST! Vasco P.S. Stumpy, if there's anyone else whose work should be acknowledged for the production of this skin please let me know
  25. Winder, Sitting Duck, Winston DoRight and I have been testing these models extensively in MP and cataloguing the issues. I'll PM you with all the detailed findings later this weekend. Thanks for taking the time. Vasco
