Think it all depends. Took my unpatched TW SFP1 SP4 F104G with the original fuselage drag figures up in WOE to 36.000 ft., dropped the tanks and accelerated. Took quite some time but....... Supercruised too, which as far as I know wasn't possible in real life. In other words I think that TK did a great job with his original Starfighter Probably bringing down drag figures is not the whole story. Don't know enough about it but maybe the Mach tables play a role too. Hou doe, Derk

It depends on how realistic it is, but with landing gear available you can normally get you bird down in one piece just about anywhere except in real mountainous country or water. A road is a very nice alternative if you can't reach a runway. Over enemy territory I would punch out in order to deny the enemy a more or less intact plane...(and in real life your chance to escape looks a lot better) Hou doe, Derk

Said something like that and complimented him when Ansons launched his latest Norway terrain: wooded airfields are very much a typical W. European thing, both in NATO and WARPAC. Wherever possible dispersal and shelter areas had LOTS of trees and/or were downright situated in the woods. Great shot, Hou doe, Derk :yes:
