Ok im running a modded FE1 with Windows XP my question is what has FE2 to offer me over what I have now assuming I still run XP DX9. What is the difference between the two versions I understand the content is the same or is it? My FE1 is very nice and gives me a lot of pleasure with all the mods installed should I just hang onto my pension money or spent it on FE2.

Hi Quack I have reinstall all my Terrain folder from a fresh FE 1 installed Jans terrain then went over and over your alterations for the Flanders_Bombers and still have no luck my default Flanders terrain is OK. Well thanks for your help looks like I will stick to the fighters.

Just noticed I have a problem with my Flanders terrain see below screen, Bombers are at the bottom of the screen.

No luck here Quack see picture the planes are starting in a field and running into trees, maybe it's the FE version im using I have all the patches. Thanks any way for all you do for this sim.

Now guys im not asking for you to sort this out just has any one any idea where to have a look. From time to time my install of FE and it has so many mods added. When it gets to the end of loading a mission the game will close down with the message pop up Sorry Microsoft has to close the game, also on the odd time it will crash with the BSOD and the computer reboots on it's own with no input from me. Now this follows no set pattern it has been happening over a long time I can go for months with no problem them it seems to come all of a sudden, the one thing I did check was the sound files were all 16 bit I understand this can give problems. There is no way im going to reinstall all that I have I can not remember it any way I do have a back up of my game. I can live with it BUT would like to know what it may be so any one got any ideas and do's any one have this problem the game is up to date with all updates and adons with Jans wonderful new terrain it now whighs in at 7.46 GB.

Just a quick update I did say I would not do a reinstall but I do tell lies I made a new install and careful added what I wanted from my FE files not from the modded install no crashes but then I went mad and started to add planes from my modded install well as of today no crashes, if I do get a crash I will remove the plane to a backup folder and carry on if all is well no crashes I leave the plane out if it carrys on crashing put the plane back in just my method of elimination. Sorry I cant be more helpful.

The one plane that eluded me is the Bristol scout I do not seem to be able to find it, not at SkunkWorks site any one got any ideas ?

What with the wonderful terrain of Jans and now new Effects new skins im breathless it is keeping me up all night THANKS THANKS guys for all you do.

You beat me to it Laton thanks for that will try INI. Have tried your new effects and like a lot thanks. Haggis79 for future use you may need the "SFP1E Extract utility" its in the downloads do a search for it at the moment you do not need it now as Laton has very kindly put his up his ini for downloading.

Thanks for the reply Peter I did notice the N17 gave me some trouble I will take a look at my settings I have a feeling it is graphic related. I have all the WW1 sims you could name (FE is at the top of my list for fun) and I have no problems my PC is stable. I will try and keep a record of what happens in future thanks again.

Lost for words this has to be the best thing to come to FE and we have had some wonderful stuff with so many very clever people thanks to all and thanks to you Jan for all the work you have done for us with this wonderful terrain.

It's going to be something very special to get me to go from my heavy modded 6.41gb FE1 to FE2.
