    We have Eindeckers and Bullet for FE but their wing warp is not animated. Actually you can download 3dsmax plug-in from Thirdwire website - it has a readme file which mentions restrictions on animations.

    I wish there were a way to do wing warp in FE like in FSWW1. The bird is doomed to look petrified. :cray:

Well, the stock expansion AI will rip you in half (except green pilots - they run away), airfields now have generated static aircraft, flight model seems closer to actual flight (and is different, so pre-EP1 planes won't work well), Camel and Dr.1 engines use blip switch, you can fly under bridges and meet enemy aces in campaign (if you survive somehow - Albatros can now lose wings if you pull too fast)... it IS worth getting And you can always make a second install of FE to install EP there, keeping your old modded original. jack72, expansion AI is doing very well without additional tweaks One moment you fly gun-blazing into the dogfight, the next moment you have three angry Fokkers on your tail. And you suddenly find yourself flying a monoplane with dead engine.

    Perhaps TK hasn't found the proper balance with archie yet. Remember what it was like in pre-patch FE? 10 seconds of straight level flight and you're history. Now we see what it's like the other way round. BTW, just got my first archie hit in OFF Looked like my D.II got her whole engine ripped out and flames were everywhere.

    1. Yeah, a whole Jasta going in waves is weird. At least they fight well now. I wonder if one can tweak inis to increase formation size and position boxes at to least double size. 3. Maybe axis are mapped wrong? I remember having great "fun" when got my throttle mapped to stick twist in RB3D.

    IMHO, campaign in OFF Phase 2 is pretty close. Unconfirmed kills, lethal AAMG, long patrols with enemy sometimes flying too fast or too high to intercept, lively front line... I like it there. Flying slow E.III through campaign is pretty awesome too but your arms might hurt afterwards.

    Yup, that's where I checked in the first place and found only one low-res archive. Can't say anything about OFF forum, because I never got registered there and the whole process seems rather complicated. And that limits me to viewing only a couple of posts a day, no links and no search.

    I just visited their website yesterday and discovered the list of things they are doing for Phase3. Looks great
  16. Try this link. Maybe it'll help with XP issues. RB3D crashes VERY often on my PC... even with compartibility settings, fixes and various community updates such as Hell's Angels(link) for example. But I got it to run with cool 3dfx graphics (much better that Software or Direct3D that we have to use now) using this glide wrapper http://dege.freeweb.hu/ Just unrar the archive to game's folder and in game chose Glide as renderer.

    Hmmm.... Moska's armament seems to be a bit different. I wonder what position one had to take to fire accurately. They also had plans for arming it with forward-firing Colt MG on the right side. To prevent it from shooting the prop off, they designed a system that would pop an armour plate out of the hood when prop blade was passing line of fire and hide the plate back it when the blade was gone.

    Thanks, it worked fine. That's funny - I didn't have WWII planes, menu background was WWI - only nations were broken. So, dexxa, I suppose, the only thing you might need with the iso is the nations pack.

    IlyaV, IlyaV(+Pilot, Copilot, Gunner, Gunner2, Dmg, Dmg2), loadout, note , textures folder. Maybe it has something to do with nations? I seem to have WWII nations like Soviet Union listed in menus. Germany, Italy, France, USA look right, but there's a long list of planeless countries.
  25. My flight of Camels was on generated intercept mission and we had to take on a bunch of loaded Albs escorted by Dr.I Our arrival scared Albatroses so much their whole flight landed at once. Don't know, whether they tried to take off later or not, because Dreideckers torn us apart. It happened only once but apparently this piece of code is still in there.
