What's the error message you get? I used to get some error at a certain point of installation - turned out to be a corrupt download after all... After coping with Runtime error 13 I finally got to fly Alb D.III... Neat. Now I'm waiting for the skin pack to download...

Did I hear SPAD XII? :crazy: As I learned recently 12's airframe was used for 13 so they are more alike than 12&7 What 12 mod really needs is a twisted cockpit.. Maybe I'll remove the my VII conversion from package since it's pretty lame

Uh... Now the site is gone Luckily I managed to grab release and skins. Should be playable without movies... Rats! Both installers seem to be broken... First one kicks the bucket at about 20%. Have to wait till someone raises the undead server and redownload again... Hmm... notice this one http://www.overflandersfields.com/ I wonder when it'll be up and running..

Perhaps they should put a restriction - 1 download at a time from 1 IP. I've seen this done on a couple of other sites. Makes everyone download one file at a time and without splitting them into fragments.. it might save the day Anyway, that's exactly how my flashget is set up - no splitting and only one active task.

The files are BIG. 800Mb - release, 1Gb - skins, 500Mb - movies... and a patch under 1 meg.

Don't forget to change plane balance for two guns.. If you add an extra without drag and CG shift, it'll be cheating

Was one of them flown by the guy who got The Blue Max on the same day? Update: D8 flies nice... But for some reason sometimes it starts to wag its tail when I don't touch rudder. Available since 1917?? One more thing - I noticed that this plane needs only a couple of hits to destroy N.17. That was the first time I flew against N.17 so maybe they are generally fragile...

N.11 as far as I remember has gunsight which is rather difficult to use without Vector TrackIR... You have to pull your head up for sights to align

Changing Planes in Missions

If you mean the missions you choose from "Load Mission" screen, the data is in game's Missions folder. .msn files are perfectly readable with Notepad - just copy one, open and replace plane types of flights with the ones you like. -
Collision points(for planes at least) are set somewhere in ini, aren't they? What if you add more of them, not just the outline box.. Though, I don't know if it applies to static objects

Ok.. I got the article The game is supposed to provide pilot with more than 100 000 sq kilometers of historically correct terrain for the 1917-1918(some like it easy apparently ). Il-2 engine is heavily modified - the graphics part is going to be amazing(trees are finally trees - not layers of green paint). There's gonna be 13 flyable planes(German, France, RAF, USA) and about 30 will be AI-only. Throw in nearly 60 types of ground units as well. To get the feel of level of plane detail have a look at the screens at their website. TrackIR + Vector are going to be useful(if not necessary) and fully supported. Multiplayer seems to be one of the developers' priorities.. it's possible that KoS will have air war mode like Warbirds or GT's Air Domination War for Il-2. -
Wow... AI does shoot more. About 10 pilots of my flight(16 SE5) managed to waste all their ammo. And they use rudder. Just saw an Alb steadily following SE5 for about 4 minutes through all turns... He was shooting but missed a lot. Actually I noticed that he chose one spot to shoot at(a bit higher than the target, which at the moment was flying straight) and fired and his ammo without correcting aim. That's what I'd like to see in the new patch - AI correcting aim. After that we'll be able to boost plane durability without ruining AI kill rate.

Rats! I'll have to update my SPADs again.. AI is supposed to use rudder and shoot more.. I'm gonna try it right now.

Looks very pretty And the animations are great Flies a bit funny though... and loses altitude too quickly. Had a flight of them engage a flight of stock Albs and this was a pretty common picture
