Calling all Ace Combat pilots, 2011... We're Back!
Gr.Viper replied to ShinKazama88's topic in The Pub
Errr... I kill at longer range in first-person shooters. This game must come with unlockable nose chanisaw. "We've used the same footage 4 times! Think of the amount of content recycling in the full game!" -
Actually, yeah. They justified that by saying that we'll get a few tenths of percent more light in a year now. That's coming from those who basically introduced a state week-long holiday in friggin January when they can ski, while cutting down on holidays in May when people can thaw and tend to their gardens.

Highest level of mastery in cat fighting, making your opponent go "WTF?"

maxsecondarystrikes= when did this show up and what does it do?
Gr.Viper replied to Slant6's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
In recent game versions, especially over Nam, sometimes you'll see that there's another flight performing a strike mission against your target. That seems to be the value responsible for them in some way. -
Great, we've got a pastafarian

They aren't but who do YOU work for?

Correcting Flight Mode
Gr.Viper replied to Wad Cutter's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
If you want to fight the stick to go straight and level in SF2, fly Mustang. Take off can be a real pain, I still follow drunk flying squirrel trajectory most of the time. For the most of the planes in the game you must struggle not to fly them straight, but to make them turn. Yes, I'm looking at you, Mystere, with your inefficient boosters. BTW, jet turbines are rather heavy gyroscopes. I wonder, if it's modeled in SF2 in some way. Fishbed trainee's manual mentioned that gyro effect determines the more likely direction of stall. -
To Stray: MiG-17 cockpit from your YouTube video.

He's not stray, we keep him in a hat box. -
SF2 Future?

Didn't TK say that Tomcat will get Iceland? -
How about this one? http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm Worked fine for me under XP, Win7 seems to be supported too.

Brace yourself, since the 2014 Olympics will have not one but 3 mascots. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/more/02/26/sochi.mascots.ap/index.html?eref=si_more The heroes themselves Leopard The "we like Putin" mascot, a favorite of the natio... TV-show phone vote. Bunny With a voice you want to put a bullet to. Bear Sort of a weak throwback to the 1980 olympics + the animal from the logo of our only political party. Not only do they look like crap, IMHO, but I'm certain that for days we'll have to endure the "cartoons" with them on TV. The sum of all elected mascots http://talisman.sochi2014.com/en/ Honestly, the Web favourite would look much more interesting and topical. I want it in plush.

The wolf was in the background in the Bunny's song during the presentation. It was an old song about hares who are scared of wolves and owls but don't give a damn because they gather some i-don't-care herb. Those Soviet movies had songs for any occasion really. Someone photoshopped the guys into one. Talk about creepy

I'm rewatching the final mascot presentation/awards show and my is it bad. The animations, the wording of the characters' back stories are almost so bad it's good level. The reaction of the audience in close up shots is priceless - the crowd was paid to applaud when told to, but during the "live" performances of rendered for TV freaks people have no clue what's going on on stage, watching the empty space with a mix of "WTF?" and "I wonder, if started my washing machine before leaving".

Надо ж народу передохнуть и поработать, пока TK новый сим кодит и форум чинит :)

Curiouser and curiouser No good info on sources though. Russian news sites (quite content with the oil price rise) say the report comes from an Iranian outlet.

Head Bob?
Gr.Viper replied to Wodin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Difficult to ask TK while the forum's down. Maybe he assumes that jet pilots ate strapped in tighter? -
Wait. Is he actually asking to help him 'cause he's a victim of Osama? Awesome http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12570279 Meanwhile there are rumors that North Korea might follow the fasihion http://english.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2011/02/24/2011022400582.html

Oh, they've used a recent custom firmware to run some homebrew stuff and create HDD-only backups of games. Early this year the master key for signing PS3 software got hacked. Then Sony delivered a deep rootkit with their latest official firmware that reports anyone using the unauthorized stuff. People got "you've been a bad boy" emails after logging into PSN.
