I don't know how things work on the ground but in SF2 a Beagle can take 400 minigun rounds and still fly Stll, a T-62 doesn't stand Vulcan hits. -

No aim-4 falcons

Now that you've got the Falcon, you're in for another challenge. Hitting something with it. -
Connection to server is done in-game. Online store demo they had worked in browser. You'd have to anyway. Dual core CPU is a must, quad core is even better.

Strike Fighters 2 patch is out

Not to mention, that SF2 screenies go into My Documents folder, so placed by default would eat lots of space on system drive in BMP format. -

Was "Use advanced shaders=0" line in options ini before? Also fps counter started showing more things like maximum, minimum and delta. -

Well, so far you can unjam both guns at the same time without losing control.

Haven't seen wing guns Forgot to ask I only saw Hadley Page and Breguet 14 with flaps. And a lovely Pfalz D.XII The have rear gunners lively animated and sitting normally until the enemy approaches. Not the ever-on-guard droids. There aren't many guns options. Amount of ammo, gun convergence. They told me they thought of adding adjustable pich for guns but then decided it could leave new players confused.

Collision with every single tree on the map with effect depending on whether you hit the braches or the trunk... The option to start with cold engine and spend several minutes warming it up. AI that flies same FM as player and struggles when landing a damaged plane.

Can someone with an unpacker check if TK added price modifiers to planes and weapons? Cause now the plane prices are quite varied... And I don't remember paying for AIM-9Js at least four times as much as for Bs. -
Game physics model impulse the airframe gets from each "heartbeat" of the engine. So N.28 shakes differently as part of its cylinders gets switched off.

The game will require an online account to play. Even offline. They promised that traffic in case of offline play will be minimal and even a crappy dial-up line will do. Add-ons and updates will take up to 200mb, but are planned to eat about 50mb on average. The whole thing will be a bit like Steam or Battlefield or some MMOG - you buy a box or order it online, then you can go to their store and buy planes for much smaller sums. Or rather the right to fly those planes. E.g. there may not be a flyable SE5a in the box release, but you might see AI or other players online fly them - to get yourself into its pit, you'll have to pay. Also if a dedicated modders group decides to work with them and makes a plane of proper quality, they can put it up in store, sharing profit. They told me OFF team was really interested.

SF2 installation possibilities
Gr.Viper replied to ndicki's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
2nd install in SF2 case is merely another copy of core game files. It's the options file in user folder that determines where the mods are. -
SF2 installation possibilities
Gr.Viper replied to ndicki's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Why would you need another install now? I mean, you can create two folders on HDD with stuff for different mods arranged in a proper fashion. To switch between them you'd only need to change one line in options.ini in mydocuments. Possibly someone could code a utility storing locations of mod folders and switching them (i.e. editing path line in options.ini) with a couple of clicks. -
Sidewinders and clouds
Gr.Viper replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Before you go hunting in bad weather remember that early 'winders had a large IR-sensor "eye". Could be smahed to bits by heavy rain and hail before you even launch it. -
