  1. Detonation altitude is fixed, right? It is possible to draw an effect that would engine-wise originate from detonation but graphically grow from an "impact" point on the ground? I still hope TK gets round to this
  2. Try direct or very close hits Comm building into ashes, oil tanks ablaze. The "spalsh" doesnt work though, true.
  3. Playing Prometeus I think TK boosted napalm a bit (after my questions??): cars explode at greater range. and I took out a warehouse with one tin can yesterday.
  4. Nah, they simply stretched high-res sattelite photos on the terrain, made building blocks, some more detailed landmarks and tons of shaders and blooming to smooth everything. Basically same thing as TK's terrain only done with more funding.
  5. I wonder, what planes will get most serious updates there... Although only Hunters, Harriers and Hogs are left.
  6. From what I see, all player aircraft were more or less re-done - F-100 didn't have tail skid, intakes of F-8 and A-7 were not so curved, A-4 wings have more detail etc. But Thud did get a big overhaul alright.
  7. The models are all new, so mapping is likely to be different.
  8. If you give TW A-1J full throttle on runway it'll almost flip over.
  9. Install SF2V in the same folder as SF2 to merge. It'll do it automatically.

  11. Try to estimate from time, speed and the length of the line Didn't get much into campaigning yet. My HDD badly needs defragging, so everything's slooow. But Nom Bai affinity still seems present and reported to TK. Did Sundowners really hit Runways there with nothing but Zunis?
  12. Hokum, I added cockpit line from A-4's ini and was all set to go within a minute No idea but it's got neat SAM launchers and it shows up on map (there's a caption with its type, like tanks have).

  14. Yeah, there are some mountains. Some familiar mountains. I'll go for a flight in South Nam to check that area out later. Same ground textures as in WoV, but city architecture is a little bit more varied, I think. Airfield textures are upgraded.
  15. Мультиплеера как и в SF2 нет. Десятый директX похоронил DirectPlay, на котором был основал сетевой код TW. Если мультиплеер и появится, то позже - его с нуля кодить надо. Доступных эскадрилий стало еще больше, типов самолетов больше (таки F-8C и F-8H (69) - это две большие разницы). Кокпиты и модели обновили. Текстуры карты те же. Только A-6 потерян для народа. Это еще выход задержался прилично. Теперь пара патчей, ремейк европы, а потом уже должно что-нибудь новое выйти. Суэц, аддоны к FE.. и на что еще фантазии хватит. В ряды AI самолетов затесалась пара "Скайрэйдеров". Сунул в них кабину "Скайхока", полетал. Ничо машинки, пропеллер только их все время в одну сторону кренит, но на этом тормозе по крайней мере можно успеть прицелиться толком.
  16. AI Thud did it in level flight with 6 bombs under its belly. Neat, huh? Ain't she pretty... Yum!
  17. Map includes South Vietnam now. All airpace from Hanoi to Saigon with Laos and Cambodia is your playground now. Just saw a Thud outrun an IR missile. It was slowly creeping up to in but then ran out of fuel and fell back. At the same time a squadron of Fishbeds was having serions trouble with two of their missiles going for a leading MiG instead of Thuds. Some joker taught AI about targets of opportunity. They bomb parked aircraft. BTW those sitting ducks now display damage, like damage texture or parts falling off. Still explode into nothingness of destroyed. I love it.
