  1. Doubt it. He said BAe Hawk, not Curtiss Hawk. I guess That is the closest plane you will find here, a T-45. Not a very recent addon, though. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...mp;showfile=107
  2. Good that you're back. I like your updated Swordsmen skin. It looks great at dawn.
  3. What really amazes me about the F-8, although that has actually not something do with the F-8 itself, are the additional stock Squadron decals that come with the game (WOV that is), but aren't put to use, since most Squadron in the Campaigns have coverted to the F-4 already. Is that some sort of leftover from SFP or why are they in it?
  4. Actually you would not even need addons to have SAMs in the 90s. All you need to do is to extract the data.ini files of the SAMs and Radar systems and edit their Retire date, which is 1980 if I'm not mistaken.
  5. The final production of the YF-23 would most likely had thrust vectoring, because if the YF-23 had won it would have recieved the same engine type as the F-22 has now. Besides, the YF-23 was just a prototype, like the YF-22. And there are a number of differences between the YF-22 and its production version, the F-22.
  6. LOL. Stepping from one minefield into another. F-8 and the Hun are practically teh sexiest planes in WOV. Sure, the F-8 wins first prize, no question. But IMHO the F-100 is a close second.
  7. Now that's a sweet plane. Excellent work
  8. - open the [plane]_DATA.ini, - look for the [sound] section - edit the following entries so that they look like this: EngineSoundName=JetEngine AfterburnerSoundName=JetBurner - scroll down until come to the [Engine1(2)] section search for and edit your entry so that it read this: AfterburnerEmitterName=AfterburnerEmitter
  9. Unlikely. Otherwise they would have already produced one. Also, I doubt that nowadays it's necessary to have a specific trainer version of each fighter design in use. Just remember how they did the training for the F-117.
  10. That must have been the Cessna T-37.
  11. Nice threadjacks. ;) Back on topic: Is there anyway to teach the AI wingmen how to use LGBs properly? Because based on my observations they do not distingush between LGB or dumb bombs when attacking a target....
  12. Still, I doubt that AI wingmen are capable to use LGBs in the manner they are intended to be used. Whenever they are assigned to attack a target with LGB, they tend to drop them all as if they were just regular 'dumb' bombs. It seems to be that they are unable to use a target designator... Is there any way to change this?
  13. Micropose's Dogfight had covered the Falklands scenario. Dogfight was actually a cool simulation.
  14. Ahem, the JSF is not slated to replace the SuperHornet, which is essentially a new plane compared to the Hornet. Also, MDD/Boeing built the X-32, so that has nothing to do with it. Not to mention that the SuperHornet went into service years ago, while the F-35 is still in development. Sorry for this necro. And to be honest, I feel that all these shiny uberhightech planes are of out place in SF and WOV anyway, so why bother? (Don't get me wrong, I am impressed by the planes made by the community and I do understand it's their choice which plane they want to make, but I would be glad if the same dedication would be attributed to the appaently less cool planes, too. Think about it, there are bascially zillion sims out there that feature all these 4 or 5th generation fighters, but rather few that support the 60 or 70s setting) Bring the Voodoo damnit.
  15. I'd say that Yeager was a bit biased in this case.
  16. Well, since we're talking about the Bombcat loadout already, that's my suggestion above. Btw, could somebody tell why the LANTIRN pod doesn't show up on the model. I have added the LP to the station #12 and it does show up in the ordnance section and I can add it to the loadout, but then it's a no-show.... But dropping LGBs works just fine.
  17. Hmm, I think they did only use LGBs on the Bombcat. Never heard of a Bombcat loaded with Mavericks or else. Thus, if you want to make a real Bombcat, I would suggest to add a Laser Targeting Pod to the loadout and armed it only with Paveways or similar guided bombs, that were mounted in place of the Phoenix rockets. Just a suggestion. Btw, is the AI even capable of using LGBs? Because it seems to me that they just drop them on the target as if they were normal bombs?
