I am going to soon be purchasing a new display...and it's a minefield out there! I want to upgrade my pathetic 19" tft (1280 X 1024)....but not MASSIVELY I'm thinking 26" Monitor or a bit larger for a TV This is where it gets confusing...do I go Monitor or HDMI TV??... Budget about £500 - £600 Useage?...well, 70% gaming..... 10% email/photoshop..and about 30% surfing. (not fussed about watching videos/TV etc) Screen usually about 2ft from me. If I understand correctly, the disadvantage on a TV is resolution and refresh? Anybody link me to what they use?...or some help..pros and Cons etc would be very much appreciated. (wish I could go into a TV shop, and tell them to stick OFF on to show me what it looks like!)

Hi Jim I can hopefully help you with Q1 and Q3 There is no check box in FSX for TR5...it should just work...I would have a look in the settings of fsx..regarding mouse views? (just a guess that one)...it may be that you have a view thats locked...don't forget of course, that trackir only works in virtual cockpit!...not the default 2d one As to turning off the camera...when my trackir is running after I finish the game...I right click on the icon in my taskbar (bottom left of your monitor screen)..and then hit exit this turns off the camera. Hope that helps a little....hopefully someone else can help with your other questions
