Hi all,
This request may have already been posted in the past, I would be surprised if it hadn't, or I may not have seen the skins, but has anyone skinned the famous Jasta 11 Albatros D.III's of early 1917? I know the popular M.V.Richthofen's D.III has been skillfully done in several forms but what of Werner Voss, Karl Allmenroder, Lothar V.Richthofen, Georg Simon, Kurt Wolff, Otto Brauneck and others.......in their Albatros's
It would be great sight to see these prime Jasta 11 pilots headed by MVB to take on the Allied scouts!!!
Would anyone take on this project as I am sure I am not on my own in wanting to see Jasta 11 in all its glory!!!

Been away for a while to find a whole host of new aircraft, really like flying the Nieuports in all forms!!
A few planes that dont seem to have been done yet which would add some of the more obscure types:
Roland D.VIb
Hannover CL.IIIa
Anyone planning on doing these in the near future?

As a Jasta 15 late war fan this should be gooooooooooooood. I will download and try my luck as Berthold!!

Great job, so many to choose from, thanks!!!

Been waiting for this for a while and its worth the wait, Super job Laton, just took her out for a sortie, took down several SE5's no problem!
Seems highly agile and very manouverable (does this tie in with actual reports of the aircraft as they had a number of wing failures?) you get the real feel of that single wing and that it does not give the same amount of lift as a biplane.
Are the rates of climb etc...in the DVIII modelled this way, how does it compare to say a DVII??

Thanks Laton, with your excellent aircraft and v. Deutschmark's skins this should be a fantastic addition to FE collection!!!!!

Great to hear from Tex & JFM concerning Bloody April, I assume that no one else has any other WIP on this period???

Looks great, cant wait to fly the nimble little fighter!!!

Firstly once again a great plane from the A-Team, Thanks!!!
This may sound simple but would be effective, just have two to three aircraft loaded with each type of armament, one with the Lewis's installed, one without and say a further one with the right lewis fitted. You can then simply select from the loadout screen. each could be modelled to reflect the set-up with Lewis's extra drag, without extra speed? This would mean further work from the A-Team but would be simplw fix or am I missing something here?

Bloody April 1917:
This was an era in the air war of WW1 that surely must appeal to most FE followers? What is in place for this part of the air conflict?
We have the German aircraft (AlbIII), just need the 'Bloody April' skins, in-particular the Jasta 11's with the Richthofen brothers, Wolff, Schafer, Allmenroder, Mohnicke, Brauneck etc.....
On the British front we really only have the BE2 a 1914 aircraft or the DH2 an early 1916 aircraft and the French have the Spad VII & Nieuport 17 on the way (April 1917 Skins?). Maybe some British 2 seaters or a Sopwith Pup would be the only 1917 additions?
As anyone else got an angle on this or plans for a campaign?
What if any is the WIP with respect to new aircraft and skins of the period???
Thanks

Has the AI now so called fixed the Schuck III crashing, I have downloaded again the updated version of the Schuck III and it still seems to do it? The problem is that in Normal mode the aircraft were still corkscrewing to the ground and crashing (Press F10 and watch when you are in autopilot). Some of the aircraft would then take off with part of the top wing missing or just spiral on its nose on the ground. The latest update did not seem to fix or I am doing something wrong?????

Just downloaded and flew with around 15 others Schuckert III's in Single Mission mode. Has anyone else noticed that the AI aircraft climb steeply, stall turn and then dive to the ground and generally crash into the ground. 6-7 aircraft crashed before we made contact with the enemy planes?

This gives some usefil info on the Fokker VIII, might be of interest?

Yes I totally agree the modders and skinners do a fantastic job and I have nothing but good things to say in my short time with CombatACE. Everyone has been most helpful, I can't believe how good you guys are at even considering requests let alone doing them. JFM has done a whole series of Jasta 13 planes after a posted a tentative post after only being a member a few days!!
Once again thanks again for making newbie feel most welcome and be thankful we have these guys!!!
Cheers

Jasta 15, here's the next WiP skin for you. Should be finished tomorrow (actually, today, 25 January, but later this afternoon).JFM, Once again, you have produced a great skin, Jasta 13 now has Piel, Fritzche, Niethammer, Haussmann & Buchner. From your post you stated you were looking to do even more Jasta 13's? Would Grimm, R Paul Wolff & Michaelis complete the flight of eight Jasta 13, Fokker VII's? Can't wait if this is the case!!!

Ok, J15, these were uploaded and are awaiting approval:I'll have Haussmann's DVII done later today and will upload that one, too. After that, I'll start the post-Büchner-style blue/green fuselages with the 4-color wings.
Enjoy!
Fantastic, these are top draw, can't wait to download, I notice your real attention to detail, you have even included the three cockade marked bullet hole patches near the stork. Top job JFM!!!
Many Thanks

Yes, thanks for the info., I was aware of the subtle changes to Jasta 11's aircraft of the time, but not sure in all cases what they exactly were. However as this was, in my opinion, the most famous and wrote about group of pilots of WW1 and possibly THE BEST Jasta 11 had to offer during the great war it a shame not to see them in all there glory in FE!!
