I like WotR. It's really rather good. The Battle of Britain is one of those iconic air battles that has always fascinated me. Historically, up there with WW1's "Bloody April" imo. OBD has done a splendid job to date and the CFS3 engine lends itself well to this period. And now that BH&H Mark II has been completed, may I ask what future plans for WotR are in store for us ?

May the Holy Gods of Vision, Of Screens, and Television, Give You your Sight, As is your Right, Along with Circumcision, Or Not. Get well Troops, get well ....
-
Well, it was worth a try .... You are good Mr Polovski. It won't be so easy next time ....

Four months go by swiftly for persons of a particular age. Why, it seems like yesterday. Yet a lot has happened in that time. A European war, rising inflation and cost of housing, increasing homelessness, refugees, climate anomalies, a wheat and energy crisis, a Will Smith slap, hearings into the Capitol riots, a change of government in Australia and Heard vs Depp. Refreshingly, some things remain the same such as Boris Johnson's hair or Dungeness. And OBD. Is it time to unwrap the wraps and let us all have a sneaky peek at what lies under? Too soon?

We really need a braille version for us old timers. I couldn't do any worse. I wish you all the best for your recovery Troops.

BH&H 2 Screenshots and Movies Thread
catch replied to Polovski's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Okay you got my weak spot Capt. These pics are absolutely quirkiful. I saw 'er but fly by and shall love 'er 'til the day I die. You've done good lad. And Capt Triggers too! You've struck gold .... -
Ah yes, aging is the queerest thing. But that's why God invented booze and smokes and Dungeness innit.

Good show G and welcome. I seem to remember something similar along the lines of the love you make is equal to the love you take. Can't remember where. Never mind. I think you'll enjoy WoFF: BH&H II: Recon Wars a lot. But headtracking in some way, shape or form is, I'm afraid, a mandatory requirement to fully enjoy what WoFF has to offer. You must try harder.

Lol I used to be catch22 in a previous life in a now defunct OFF forum from the olden times. Aye lad, them was the days! I'm just amazed that you two OBD guys are still at it. Talk about fortitude and dedication. Admirable.

No worries cobber. Let's go ! My shout ! .... Oh dammit I seem to have misplaced my wallet ....

It's not often I get the opportunity to address a Knight of the Realm Sir Woofer but I can inform you that, in my humble and subservient opinion, AMD CPU's work well with WoFF and, if I may be momentarily vulgar, offer a bigger bang for your buck [ahem] than that other mob. Respectfully, Your Servant.

France: le deuxième Sopwith Camel de John Shaw effectue ses premiers essais moteur
catch replied to socrate's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
She's a beautiful bus socrate and no mistake. They don't make 'em like that anymore. And I still marvel at things like the amazing engineering of rotary engines and synchronising/interrupter gear, neither of which I fully understand, but were so much a part of the Great War. -
You said it Gramps ! I like how even old people can get into this excellent sim.

I think so too Alby. Recon, photography and arty spotting were the main functions of the air services and of vital importance to the PBI. Get me up in that Quirk quick and let me at 'em ! Mind you, it's dangerous stuff and not for the faint hearted. Have you got the right stuff chaps ? Will you do your duty for King and country ? Yes ? Well then, grow a moustache. Your country needs you !

Remain calm and composed Rick. It's Bueller's day off.

As a recent member of the radical Completionista movement I struggle only with the secret handshake. However, despite my unforgiveable (and unprintable in this medium) behaviour toward the pompous Capt. Triggers of WoFF fame, I am in full favour of a comprehensive and immersive training program in WotR. I am, of course, confidant that young Polovski has the iron will and determination to succeed in this endeavour with flying colours should he so desire. But, what of the expertise and knowledge of that Winder guy? Perhaps he is The One! Oh never mind, one hopes it shall come to pass, as all things must, one way or another.

Optional Cloud Mod 4.0 Update
catch replied to BuckeyeBob's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Am I impressed by your work Buckeye? Yes. Is your tenacity in tackling this age old problem worthy of praise? Yes. Is your work a major improvement? Yes. Do I have a new appreciation of Ohioans? Yes. But the flickering! Oh my giddy Aunt! I hate it. You know, back in the last Se5a comp Mr Rick Rawlings put up where vids and pics were encouraged along with a narrative of ones combat adventures .... well let me tell you, I was filming a great dogfight against some Albies with beaut clouds and shit and I dived through some foggy stuff right on the tail of a HA .... boy I thought .... the lads will love this. Moody. Artistic. REAL! A bleedin' masterpiece. Hailed on youtube. An Oscar perhaps. AND THEN ..... BLOODY FLICKER FLICKER FLICKER!!!! An epileptic nightmare. I HAD TO EDIT THE WHOLE SCENE OUT! So my masterpiece was reduced to a mere excellent piece of filmography. Do I hate the flickering? Yes. -
BHAHII Missions and Campaigns
catch replied to Rick Rawlings's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Man that's a bad trip Rick. You know, up in Woodstock back in '69 someone slipped me a brown tab and said it's okay man while blowin' reefer smoke in me face. Then the tiny little dude way up there on the stage miles away said don't touch the brown acid man as it dissolved on my tongue. Then The Who came on singing some shit about a deaf, dumb and blind dude that blew me away, more so when Pete smashed his axe. I could see for miles and miles and miles even though he looked really small like an ant with long hair I can't explain. Some things you just can't. Like wot happened to you Rick. -
I'm very much looking forward to the updated WotR Polovski. There is great excitement in my head but I must curb my enthusiasm and wait and be patient knowing that the job from such a small team will be done and done well.

A Story for the Season, (my traditional OFF/WOFF Christmas post)
catch replied to RAF_Louvert's topic in WOFF BH&H2 - General Discussion
Hey don't forget the chicks man. I practice good will toward man and broad in equal measure. But I'm just not seeing the peace thing happening. -
Plenty of sex and gin and an occasional annus horribilis to keep things spicy seems to be the secret. It's a royal tradition. But that's not important. Lest we forget the lads and lasses who have died for their countries in conflicts through the ages. WW1 is particularly poignant because it was so stupid.

Oh man I don't do facebook. It's not groovy to me, dig? Too much of a downer man. A dude needs to chill and reflect. So any chance of more pics in this here WoTR forum? Or snippets or news about progress and stuff? You know man, anything really.

Is good. I like. I enjoy happy.

We've all been there one way or another. You can tell by the trashed pc's below the window.
