Vampyre replied to Charlie 14's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I too have this invisable Su-17 issue. I have a clean install with just NF1/4 and nothing else. -

US Navy/Marine Corps Modex Fonts?
Vampyre replied to SidDogg's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
MIL-STD-2161 rev A should tell you exactly how the authorized Modex are layed out. They are basic block lettering. -

Possible OV-10 Production Line Restart
Vampyre replied to Jimbib's topic in Military and General Aviation
I seem to remember recently reading an article about the Navy possibly leasing four Embraer EMB-314 Super Tucano's for COIN missions with a code name of Imminant Fury or something to that effect. OK, I found the article after a short google search http://www.navytimes.com/news/2009/03/navy_tucano_031309w/ -
Perhaps an updated version of the Sikorsky S-80 would be a better idea. Its fast, carries a large payload, has long range and is relatively quiet compared to the H-47. I also understand the Marines will be buying about 150-200 of them if this isn't one of the programs that gets cut. Although they are a bit large, they would make pretty good presidential helo's too...

331Killerbee Thats a nice looking T-38 skin you got there. Will you also be doing the Holloman birds too?(479th TTW HM Gloss Smurf Scheme, 7th CTS HO Gloss Black W/silver F-117 tailbands, and 586th FTS HT Gloss quasi Hill Grey scheme) I have photos and references for many different T-38's if you would like them. Just send me a PM. My dad retired out of Holloman back in '89 and my family still resides in the area. I got to see ceremony for the first F-117's arrival and the arrival and stand down ceremony of the 20th Fighter Squadron when I was home on holiday leave in 2004. It was always interesting for me to see the F-117A and F-4E/F's, Luftwaffe Tornados and T-38's all working the pattern together. Now they have the F-22's and it will be interesting to see the HO tailed Raptors flying around the pattern with QF-4's, AT-38B's and the Tornados. -

The Iraqis tried to bury it just like all the other MiG's and such, but they didn't dig the hole deep enough. -

Nope, still just a Chinese J-10 with the Israeli skin. -
This one was pretty bad. Our SAR guys were some of the first responders on the scene and they are pretty beat up about not being able to save him. My condolences go out to the family.

Weaponseditor EH? WHAT?
Vampyre replied to muzashi's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
First, if your game has the latest patch, you have to have the latest version of the weapons editor. If not then you might have a compatability issue. If the versions are compatable then open up your weaponsdata.ini with the weapons editor and visually verify the new weapons you added are in there. If they are then just click the save button on the editor and it should work. Also, FYI, this is posted in the wrong area. -

That's true enough, why should I waste my time on him when I could be flying WOx? The person below me has sucked down a slider for "rats" after a long night on deck.
