Luckily, my wife works in real estate and her boss (the broker of her office) happens to double as a lawyer. If this fails to resolve by tuesday, attorneys are prepared to draft letters to the HOA. And Fates, to answer your question.....I haven't received anything from the HOA.....no covenants, no contact info...nothing. This is our first interaction with them
-
Well....I have been reading up on HOA's and what they do...alot of people liken them to those guys that hang out by the docks and employ strong arm tactics to get what they want...I think the call em gangsters. I have read stories where they have put liens on houses or worse of people that do not pay their fees. When I get home from work, I am heading out with my camera and taking pictures of all the trouble houses in the development and all the common areas where the HOA is supposed to be maintaining with our fees. I am not an unreasonable guy. It's not like I said "Hey....let's piss off a bunch of people and put some color in the neighborhood"....Had I known the rules of engagement, I would have gone through the proper channels. They didn't even show me even respect when I moved in to give me a contact list of who to get ahold of in case I had an issue. I don't even have a copy of these by laws that I am supposed to abide by. How can I abide by the rules if you can't show them to me? There is a reason they post speed limit signs every where....so you know what the rules are. But I guarantee...when it comes time to pay those dues...they are right there knocking down your door.
-
Exactly....that is my problem too....their priorities are so far out of whack they don't know what the hell to do. The guy is griping at us about painting our house an "unapproved color" while the dill-hole two houses away has paint flaking off his house. You want all the houses to look nice? Then bug the guy who's house looks like crap rather than the guy who is trying to keep his house looking good and up to date!

Very nice! I have been getting back into Grand Prix 4, and recently discovered the 87 and 91 season mods....Love the old racing stuff. -
Oh man...I forgot about these guys!

I love that they put it out on Steam. Makes things so easy. If everyone used Steam, I would never buy a game at the store again....and no more CDs to switch all the time. I am happy to see a wider variety of cars here...the WTCC is nice, but gets kind of vanilla after awhile. -
You cheated and used Google Language tools!!!!
-
Huh? What is stupid is trying to understand what the hell you just wrote
-
OK....I am addicted now. Between this, ArmA, WoE and all the racing sims....I might have to hire a landscaper to mow the grass!
-
Haha....that was pretty awesome dude. I still get a chuckle out of that.

I thought for sure you were going to say something about walking in heels.....

I prefer GTR2 over rFactor. I don't know....I have played rFactor since it was in beta, and it never really stuck with me.....As a base package, it is just kind of weak whereas GTR2 is awesome right out of the box. And I found rFactor mods to be way too hit and miss....there are some good ones and some down right stinkers. Actually....I am playing about 4 racing games right now....GTR2 gets my nod for all out racer...then I am racing DiRT, Richard Burns Rally and Race. I also run GPL, Rally Trophy and F1 Challenge 99-02 regularly -
I like this one.....I have been playing it all morning. It feels a little more like the original
-
Hopefully, they will introduce a certain black and grey armor...bristling with weapons. That would be a spin off I would see.
-
I just picked it up for PC....haven't had a chance to try it yet. Looking forward to seeing what it's all about.

It all depends on what you are flying....you can't just say "Do this" and apply it to every aircraft you fly. You have to know the capabilities of the bird you are in. If I am in a F-15, or something with some real rocket engines, I will light the burners and head straight up towards the sun. When I start to lose airspeed, I cut throttles, hit the break and pull up on the stick. The bandit loses me in the sun and by the time I get pointed down, I usually have enough time to get some rounds from the old cannon on him.....or if it is a good day, the bandit will break off the verticle pursuit and level out. Then when I come over the top....bang....dead boogie......if you are in something slower....dive for the dirt and make your pursuer do the work....nine times out of ten you can get him while he is searching for you.....you will have a nice open shot while your bandit is occupied trying to pick you up
-
Just pour a pot of coffee down your shorts.....guarantee you won't feel the need to doze off Seriously though....the 12 hour night shift is great. I got my little portable DVD player with the PS2 attached...play a little GTA, maybe a little God of War....next thing I know...it's already 6 in the morn and the sun is coming up....

What's sleep? Working 7 PM to 7 AM over here

This has been floating around the net for awhile. I hope we see the silver and red Centurion armor.

I have always been pretty handy with a wrench. When I was a kid, I helped my dad restore a Austin Healey Bugeye and a Corvette Stingray. Later, I became a mechanic. Then, I met a guy that owned a race team and I joined up as their chief mechanic. I could change a gear box on the car in under twenty minutes.
