Thanks! Yep, the usual "2 weeks"TM needed to build a proper cockpit from scratch. -

Thanks! These are better pictures then on airliners.net!

Multiple animation slots for one mesh.
Florian replied to russouk2004's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Russo, when you set CompressGearOnRetraction=TRUE for a gear in the Data.ini the game uses the animation set for the shock also while playing the retracting animation. If that fits to the gear well, it´s fine. But otherwise i would suggest, like Erik, to work with little "helper" meshes to prevent the annoying movement from key 20 to 81. Small planes or boxes using the same povit positions work well. Combined with a clever link setup you can have two slots working without problems. -
Got the model in game. I need to map the wings and gear and do a good skin. Then i´ll add the Antennas for the ER version. When you land with deployed airbrakes, on ground the thrust reversers will be activated. Notice the Chrome shining effect on the front window frame, the inlet edge and all leading edges of wings and stabilizers.

Non Aircraft DLC

No problem with adding multiple objects here on up to date install. Might be something screwed up? -
Non Aircraft DLC

Carlo, you are missing the "Water Maps" in your Terrains! Check THIS sticky topic for it! -
I wish him well, in hope he has to live longer in fear to burn in hell... Oh wait, those have no fear of that, but hey, if he lives longer he has to wait longer for his 50 virgins! At least, when i´m informed right that he is in Lybia, he doesn´t harm the british tax payers anymore with the money spend for his therapy.

Give me some days, for the electronic reconnaissance version, i would need some more time, as the vertical tail and the engines need to been rebuild. Of course, if no one complains, i can keep these and have just the antennas added.

If there is interest, i could finish this and add the needed parts! EDIT: If someone wants the sourcefile to finish it by himself, feel free to ask of course!

German Navy Sea King Mk.41 rotor/tail folding and doorgunner animations. -
It´s for sure a Nimrod and from german Wiki (i know not the best source, but it should be correct on this) is stated the cockpit section of Nimrod R1 No. XW665 should been given to a german museum.

Now if i could only get kreelin´s refueler mod to work in SF2E... -
I bet it´s something totally different, because the picture shows not much of the general shape. When i look at the background and refer to the roof on the right side, it would be possible to take a capture from different angle, but it looks like this view was taken by purpose to hide details...

What ALL-NEW terrain would you like to see?
Florian replied to Centurion-1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I´d second that, lots of real, possible and fictional conflicts there! -
Happy Birthday!!!

FS DESIGN STUDIO 3.5
Florian replied to theGUNSLINGER's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
The ThirdwireTM LOD exporter is only available for 3ds Max. You can use some other programs to build objects, but you must have someone to import them into 3ds Max and export them to the game needed LOD format. So if that FS Design Studio is able to make a file format, readable from 3ds Max you could use it. I believe, since in most cases either mapping or animations (in worst case both) stuff gets lost due to the program transfer process, it´s the same amount of work to get such a foreign model into 3ds Max, as to build from scratch. -
Pilot ot Seat causes shadow tractor beam
Florian replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
If you have no access to the source file to fix it in Max, you only have the options to either live with it, or commenting out the shadow in the pilot and/or seat INI file. -
Gents, does anyone have a clue to get rid of the stock weapons after the couple of last patches? Since the weps editor doesn´t recognize them anymore and there are no folders around (everything is just in the CAT files).

TW weapons
Florian replied to Florian's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
It´s just annoying to have the stock crap in the drop down menu without the possibility to get rid of it. For sure i could tinker around to have only the weapons for the specific aircraft, but before it was a smart solution to have the option to delete stock and give the third party ones the correct Nationname. I fear this is someones point of view on usability... But there was another topic with opinions on locking stuff away... -
Happy Birthday, guys!!!

Da hast du wirklich Recht! Einbrecher? Macht 15 Euronen pro Nase, also 1500 Öcken am Tag.
