okay, here are the facts: Orbiterbasic.zip=48.7Mb(may increase, as i will upload orbiter with sound installed) unzip into hard drive. These are the minimum requirements to run ORBITER on your computer: 600 MHz PC or better (Pentium, Athlon, etc.) 256MB RAM or more Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP DirectX 7.0 or higher DirectX compatible 3D graphics accelerator card with at least 16MB of video RAM (32MB or more recommended) and DXT texture compression support. Approximately 120MB of free disk space for the minimum installation (additional high-resolution textures and addons will require more space). DirectX compatible joystick (optional) Running Orbiter on a lower-spec computer is likely to result in unsatisfactory performance. basic orbiter has only low res textures for other planets and earth high res textures require higher spec pc's. Orbiter SDK(Systems Developement kit) <LI>The SDK package contains utilities and libraries for addon developers. It is not required to run Orbiter. but can be used to reposition vehicles, etc. unzip orbitersdk into orbiter main folder. Orbiter sound 3.5 installed activate sounds, no downloading needed. How to play orbiter: >click on the orbiter.exe >a window named orbiter launch pad appears >to set video size,(can be windowed,and if in full screen, adjust resolution) by clicking on the Video tab >to activate sound, click on modules tab and click on orbitersound.mfd >click on the Scenarios tab >select a scenario(e.g. shuttle atlantis/satellite launch, usually with an orbiter icon) >click launch orbiter PLAY IN SPACE!!!! note: i put the file under star trek, for the moderators have not made a separate thread for it. i hope they move it into a combat ace/ORBITER thread.... thanks

OHH YEAH!!! but i need to ask for permission from the original mod makers for me to re-post their works... i am still waiting for their reply.... could i also upload a basic Orbiter gamefile? i mean the whole working game, without mods? thanks for allowing me to put orbiter on combatace!!!

pw 100 with thrust vector plus ferrite coating, plus apg 77 radar, amraam compatibility, would be nice.

Orbiter space simulator is a free space simulator. with add-ons ranging fro fictional X-71 to the latest F-22, scattered about the web. i wonder if it got a place in here. :yes:

i think its a mig-29smk. for carrier use.

i hope you make damage bitmaps, so if we fail an engine(smoke and fire) both rotors still rotate. and if you land harder, we would lose something like nacelles, rotors shear off, etc. adds more to the thrill of flying it.

i have this plane added on my Orbiter space sim. damn hard to hover, damn harder to land. when's this out?

reminds me of that israeli air force pilot (yup, F-15 too), that hit an unseen IAF A-4 "Adversary" trainer. the guy laned in one piece. then i had this even which i tried to run away from 8, yes, 8, Su-27's. they all hit me at the most ridiculus time, and i ended up missing both my outer wings. yup, and i still got 2 more. the engines were ok, i was flying on hard settings. i landed ok too. i had only have to maintain 280 kts to slow my descent. also on my trusty A-10, a Zoo kicked half of my right wing off. also landed in one peice. and i tried to take off again. i again landed in one piece.

is the EEGS(Engchanged Envelope Gun Sight) sight possible for use as a secondary gun sight for F-16's and other modern aircraft? i have been flying falcon 4.0, and had acquainted well with this gun sighting system. the question is, if this is possible? for more accurate gun shooting?

i am only talking about post mission flying, when fuel is usually halfway consumed, and i usually load to 70% on my vtol birds, so i could t/o using hover. the stock harriers on WoE handles a bit better, but the yak 141 just cant hover right on landing, even if i took care that i descend slowly, thething just starts banking to the left, and yaws to the right, and, getting a nose plant on the dirt.

ahm... i have my own canopy problems to with my talon swithcblade. i cant see anything far away.... what do i do so i could get a clearer canopy?

yup i watched it all. part one and part 2. ah what is that trouble of an engine sucking its ow breath and dying out? i think that one killed the military's interest in boeings' plane. and maybe Carbon fiber parts would actually help it reduce weight. carbon fiber amraams, aim-9x, and launchrails would be nice.

everything aside.. i just love the crud... if only upgraded cruds were in service in the Philippine air force, i would sign up any day!!! imagine a crud with a raptor engine, and an an/apg-65 radar, carbon fiber airframe, amraam capability, night capability, it could be the best fighter my poor country could afford.

maybe a ram coated AIM-9x would do? i dunno what the new sidey missile is made of, but it may make a difference in its performance if made from Carbonfiber materials.... but in a fight, i still would like to have 2 more missiles in my wings, regardless of RCS increase....
