  1. Patch

SimHQ SFP1 is as busy now as it has been all year - Good Frugals world SFP1 forum is dead - Good Biohazcentral SFP1 forum is still pretty busy - Good I saw it in "game" yesterday. Games lose their fans all the time, work, school and family commitments often see to that. Some people might come back, if not there is new people to take their place. It could, but it isn't you just need to get used to that. There's a whole host of reasons why people dont play SFP1 online as much as IL2 players, one of those of course is the bugs in the SFP1 multiplayer code, but it's not the ONLY reason. I think we all would but it's not a likely possability..Last time I checked IL2FB was practically the one game people on hyperlobby were playing.. Sad? It's game, it's not the loss of a family member. TK's still fixing bugs and the community is still playing. I dont see anything that could be deemed as "sad". Modding is what keeps any game alive. Dont tell me "But IL2!!" because IL2's been modified much further than SFP1, it's just the developer chooses to sell the communitys work and call it a new game. cheers p.s sorry I just get attracted to long posts
  2. I'm running the LOMAC demo on a P3 850, 32MB GF2MX, 896MB's RAM, low detail settings, 1024x768 res. It actually runs really well, no sh!t. :o Only problem I have is when I fire rockets it stutters a little, I think this might be sound related though. You should be ok mate, give it a try.
  3. For being the number #1 supporter of this project I decided I would build an ESCAPAC IC-2 ejection seat. So here it is in the pit, still working on the textures: And one last shot just incase you ladies forgot what the pit looks like :D cheers
  4. IMG tags suddenly not working? Do I need to change something?
  5. Cheers mate :) Here's another screenshot with the rail and some sort of "box".
  6. That table is superb and points out how utterly appauling the "stock" F-105 FM is. It's cool to see it in the "pack" though. :) Cheers
  7. Burried Mig-25 in Iraq

In my opinion it's better that they were burried and recovered than put in the air and destroyed. Cheers
  8. The new model looks 3 times better, good job. Cheers
  9. It's been so long that I often forget. The original A-7 model isn't mine. It was made by a Japanese guy named Bonzonie. He kindly sent me a copy and I began to rebuild some areas, texture-map it, animate it, build the hierachy and put together a damage model. 3dsmax, well let's just say I couldn't afford a copy either. I've yet to use CAD, only autoCAD. Cheers
  10. Superb work! :D I look forward to flying beside this beast in my very own beast (su-17) :)
  11. Once again thanks for the photos Schizo. Those details are certainly things we dont want to miss. An A-7E is something i'd like to complete. I have already adapted the A-7B model to make an A-7D. I hope in the future I'll have the time to make authentic cockpits for the D and E. I've not use the LaunchrailNode= and at the moment have no way of testing it. Sounds like it could be a solution though. I'm hoping that Swede will agree to make a video for the A-7 like he did with the su-17. Cheers
  12. Excellent A-7E close-ups Schizo. I'll make sure 301 is an available aircraft when we release the A-7. Cheers EDIT: I just found this interesting snippet of information on voughts webpage: The A-7A flew its first combat mission in Vietnam on 4 December 1967, only two years and three months after first flight! By the time the war ended on 28 January 1973, the A-7A's had been joined by the A-7B, A-7C, A-7D and A-7E. Navy A-7's were flown by 20 different squadrons from 10 different aircraft carriers involving 52 combat deployments by the U. S. Navy. The Navy flew 49,200 combat sorties in A-7A's and A-7C's, accruing 208,795 combat flight hours for an average of 2.25 hours per sortie. A total of 186,000 tons of ordnance was delivered against the enemy, with only 54 A-7's lost to enemy fire. This equates to an overall loss rate of only 0.00059 per sortie, or one loss for every 1670 sorties Impressive stuff :) http://www.voughtaircraft.com/y61-72/html/prod_61.html
  13. Hey guys, Once again thanks for the great comments. I'm commited to getting this thing as close to the real one as possible but somethings (like the map) are currently not support in P1 and there's no real way to "fake" it as far as I can see. The rean AN/ASN-67 didnt function too well and most often tore up the maps. Interesting story Navy Chief. Amazing to think that one small failure could of resulted in multiple deaths. DO, just set it to 2-sided in the mat editor. Canopy isn't animated, it's treated like an instrument that rotates +30' when at 0 kts, and starts to close as it accelerates towards 20kts. RWR hasnt been tested on a radeon yet. I'm awaiting Don (9700) to get back to me. The RWR will be a little more advanced than the stock RWR in the F-4. Should be more useful.. Cheers p.s can anyone get to Simhq?
  14. I wanted to get a little more done before I updated but I got a little tired of waiting so here's a quick update: And a couple of shots showing the shadow. Cheers
  15. lol, sure..Come to the "AD school of P1 modding", come learn how to do things wrong. I found a few A-7B VA-93 photos and a patch: One thing I notice about the last photo is that VA-93 is written on the drop tanks. Was that some sort of a calling card? Hit the target and drop the tanks, "You've been bombed by VA-93!". Cheers :)
  16. MFD's?

Currently no, MFD's cant be added to any functional level. There is however code in some of the dll's that relates to MFD handling so I definately think thirdwire have MFD support in mind. :) Cheers
  17. Thanks gents :) As sony said, the skin is for the VA-93 Ravens squadron. All the skins and decals are Dons excellent work. But thanks anyway for posting the patches. Cheers
  18. The Su-22 on x-plane.org is pretty nice. Never been a fan of fixed highlight skin though. That's a real bitch Aragorn! :( Would really like to see you making some P1 models. Cheers :)
  19. Correction to bad info put out at Simhq

Ranger are you banned from simhq or something? Why not post the correction there? Cheers
  20. I've seen those oil drums and that ladder somewhere before, hmm ;)
  21. It's not possible to write a mission track recorder for P1 due to the way the AI dont always make the same decisions in the same situation. Something like that. Just remember someone was trying to make one but didnt get far due to that fact. Cheers
  22. Hey Tango, impressive work, and a very much needed tool. Could you perhaps include support for reading zip's instead of having to unzip the skin? This would speed up the process and make the tool even more worth while. Cheers :)
