Hi,, I have been flying OFF for many years and am a member of this forum. Since OFF has moved to SimHQ I have been denied membership there for a stupid reason. My Email cannot be verified. I tried to join several times and got an email telling me that it was denied because the email could not be verified. Very strange since I received that statement but my Email couldn't be verified !! I have had this Email address for over 10 years and cannot understand this problem The worst part is that I cannot contact anyone at the forum site to get this corrected. I would appreciate it if someone could find a way to help me. I really would prefer if OFF still had a presence at this forum Thank you, Alec

Hi, From a previous help I made all the changes suggested in the overides including disable the intro movie, movie UI and UI animations but when I start the OFF Sim the intro movie still runs.The new patch V 32 is installed. Any ideas?

I love the new patch, and the new intro and the German pilot and plane on the field. Boy you guys do some nice work. I am becoming completely immersed in this beautiful Sim. Enjoy your holiday. Thanks for all of the great work.

Thank you Uncleal and Check Six. Especially for the work you did Check Six on the button assignment. The problem I see was because I thought I could set up all my buttons directly from the pop up . I have the CH products, Pro Throttle, Fighter stick and Pro pedals so I guess i should be setting everything up through there. I have put some of the ideas into use already and will monitor to see how it does. ! more question : How can FPS be set up on the screen ? Thank you for the help, I appreciate it,,

How do you set up the buttons for the commands on the joystick when some of the commands don't even exist on the control sheet.. I have the command sheet by Homeboy, thank you for a nice job, but I don't even see a map listed there. When I go into the hanger and click on controls a screen opens showing the controls for CFS3 that are very limited. There isn't any shut down engine CTRl+ENTER+F6 and many others like M for map for instance.. 2nd silly question how do I access FAQ. Am I losing it LOL. I am 79 but in good health and still working as a model maker and flying my favorite Sims. 3rd I love this Sim above all the rest of them and I've got and tried them all. A great deal of work and it shows. At least you can fly the planes and I'm not going to mention the other one that is unbelievable to control, and I'm a private pilot. That one has gone Bye, Bye too

Well I have some bad news. I checked many forums on CFS3 and every one had people with crashing problems in several areas of the game not only the Missions. These forums covered the years 2007 to 2009 and involved Win98, Win XP and Vista. Many fixes were offered but none of them worked for long. I don't think that Microsoft will release a patch to fix this problem even though they are still making money on sales of an old Sim. From what I saw in all those forums everything was tried with no results. Oh well ! Edit: Perhaps I'm wrong someone may have a solution. I hope so as I love this game.

I have my monitor(24") set to full resolution 1920x1200 with Aspect ratio set to 16.10 wide. I have the same problem as Revthought. I notice a common ground with us though, we both have AMD computers pretty closely matched. I hope this is not the problem because I recently finished building this setup and don't have any intention of rebuilding it with the more expensive Intel with similar features. If this goes on I won't fly OFF in missions and continue flying RedBaron in MMP as I'm not interested in being a Kami Kazi pilot LOL

I hope it stays fixed for ya . I'll try a lower resolution but I had the same problem with the original 1.0. It's interesting that qwar says that the same problem existed in the original CFS3. Thinking about it the popup says that it is shutting down because of an error in CFS3. I can't relate to that problem since I never flew CFS3 in missions.

Well it seems that I'm not the only one with the problem, but that sure is not a consolation to either one of us. AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor 6000+ 3.00 Ghz 8Gb Ram Nvidia GTX 280 850W Corsair Power system 4 fans Temperature under 30C Win7 No problem with any other Flight sim Edit: It only happens in missions. Free flight is fine.

Hi, I fly a mission and upon returning and getting ready to land a popup appears on the screen That Microsoft has encountered a problem with CFS3 and needs to shut down. I get dropped to the desktop. This has happened a couple of times. My operating system is Win7 RC with everything set to the max. Edit : all patches are installed. Any ideas about correcting this ? BTW I love this game. Miles and miles better than ROF. I hope I didn't do wrong by mentioning that. If so delete that statement and you can slap my wrist, the one that types LOL. Best regards,

Thank you Homeboy, excellent work. I am planning on buying a Trackir5, however I have a question about lighting before I invest in it. My computer is next to a window to the right of itat a ninety degree angle and another window is to the left of the computer behind it about 4 or 5 feet away. Will I have problems with lighting and consequently have to cover the windows with dark shades.

Perhaps after installing the new Nvidia driveers 90.38, this is why I suddenly got a message to reinstall Off after trying to go to the field.
