  1. Oh for sure! Don't use that with Alt-N!
  2. Somebody use the U-2 and blow his doors off!
  3. You can't get a better endorsement then that!
  4. Ok she's starting to look flyable, I just need a couple more beers...
  5. A while back I was flying the F-111 and was annoyed that my flight wasn't following me down on the deck (they basicaly refused to go any lower then around 1,000 ft). Changing those values will also fix that problem. [Altitude] Normal=150 Low=100 VeryLow=50 High=5000 VeryHigh=8000 This will make your flight follow you down low.
  6. That's gotta be one of the ugliest planes I've ever seen!
  7. Ughh not that lumbering F-4, It's been around since SF1! C'mon people, try something new! Tomcat all the way!
  8. You guys know Google will convert that stuff? Just type for example '1000 meters in feet' and it will give you the answer.
  9. I noticed that my wingman in the great new F-22 addon, is 'bouncing' up and down trying to match my altitude. I think I remember seeing that behaviour with the F-14. But with the CF-18 (http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=2472) The wingmen act perfectly! The more I observe the F-18 AI, the more I'm impressed by it, feels very 'real'. So would there be something we could simply cut and paste from the F-18 formation AI to the F-22? Thnks
  10. Well maybe we should let them bounce up and down all they want then! Oh well, at least we're learning stuff eh.
  11. Wow! That's interesting/wierd!
  12. Thnks starfighter 2 for all your hard work! Yes it's much better now! Have any idea how come the F-18 wingie doesn't bounce at all? Meh, the guy is probably part of the Blue Angels.
  13. "Fubar512 The proper fix for the "Bouncing Wingman" syndrome is to adjust the interaction between the horizontal stabs and the wings. This requires a basic knowledge of aerodynamics, in as far as defining the proper Cla values for the stabs (though admittedly there's a bit of guesswork involved, as in real life, the stabs sit in an airflow that's already been disturbed by the wing surfaces). You can try adjusting the pitch damper value upwards, but that's more of a band-aid than anything else." Ok interesting guys, I've tried to play around with the pitch dampers, but no results. I also changed the Rolldamper and Yawdamper. No joy.
  14. JKstar check your message box!
  15. JKstar can you be a little more clear about what you did. I tried something like you said, but it din't work.
  16. Actualy it did not so long ago lol. But you're right, I'm not going to start defending all the n00bs out there.
  17. Ok interesting, but you know that the CF-18 mod doesn't have this problem. This is simply due to the F-18 stabs/wing shape? I don't want to hijack this thread, I have a bouncing wingman one going already! So if you can answer there it would be great.
  18. Pissing who off? Not me. I'm starting to feel a certain lack of patience or even respect towards people that are new to the Third Wire series (or n00bs as you say). Believe it or not, not all questions are covered in the knowledge base section, so the n00bs will ask basic questions, that most regulars will already know or even find stupid. I'm a noob and I'll never be shy to ask something if I have a question. That's what a forum is for no? btw I'll have to google what's 'a Come to Jesus moment' lol
  19. I'm not sure this can be considered a complaint per say. He was just trying to figure out a way to auto open the doors, doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy the F-22. The only problem here is that he din't read the read me. For example, I'm trying to figure out a way to get rid of the bouncing wingman syndrome but it doesn't mean that I don't greatly appreciate and recognize the hard work that go into these mods.
  20. Where can we get this glass alpha?
  21. I guess that's why the doors can't open automaticaly then... I'm pretty sure if the doors could be auto open it would've been done already. Then again maybe somebody will come up with something and find a solution.
  22. The A-6 in WOV also has this problem. I cut and pasted an answer from one forum member, but unfortunatly I don't know who it was. I havn't tried his solution yet, so I'm not sure if it works. This is what he said; "Much of the 3w and 3p aircraft use the game's canopyglass.tga hidden in Object cat file. The easiest way to replace this is to find another tga, say totally clear, and rename it canopyglass.tga and place it into the aircraft's folder, sometimes the skin folder, or the cockpit folder. Try all these locations if needed. You can find a clear tga in Cellinsky's sky mod here at the CombatAce, where Cellinsky offers totally clear tga's to replace the sim's horizon cloud tga's. There are other deeper methods." Hope that helped.
  23. Umm... Ok looking in the folder now, I'm not too familiar with this game. I think we need to extract a cab file? If anybody can just point me in the right direction for 'wingman formation flying', it would help to fix that bouncing wingman!
  24. You're 100% correct. Remember the Commodore 64 days, when the instruction manuals were 200 pages! Great stuff... It's well known that most games these days put the emphasis on graphics instead of gameplay, big mistake.
