The demo will be released Oct 26th with Crytek's CryEngine 2 – Sandbox 2 game editor, giving the community a great amount of hands on time with the powerful mod tools coming with Crysis before the November 16th release date. Source: http://www.ea.com/crysis/news.jsp

Hey guys is there a demo for this game? Acidrain
-
I hate EA as well though the Incrysis company is only using EA as the distributor which is fine though they have no position or play on that. From what i have heard from alot of people is that they are rather disappointed in this game, so much hype and no bite though iam going to try the demo and see how it is and wait on the reviews before purchase.
-
Oh that is crazy, i wish i could do something like that! I will when i get the money.
-
I can respect that, though iam looking forward to this MMO out anything that is out there as i love SG.

We're excited to announce the availability of an all-new PC Demo, available now by choosing a mirror link below. The PC Demo is just a taste of the full Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare experience and features one level from the single player campaign. Download at Fileplanet, ITs Free! http://www.fileplanet.com/180530/180000/fi...-of-Duty-4-Demo Cheers, Acidrain http://www.outpostraders.com Currently recruiting for COD4 Division of Section8 Clan

Oh yeah, i have to agree the demo was too short though it is well worth the buying it and i was more impressed with it than i had thought. The specs are rather reasonable and within a mark of those that wont need to do any major upgrades.

Breaking: Battlefield 3 Leaked Info October 9th, 2007 by James Hyde in Rumor, MMO, Multiplayer, Online A tipster sent us PDF document which looked like an outline of features for Battlefield 3. The three page document is apparently prepared for investors which should get it by December of this year. It details basic features of BF3, and are as listed: * Release in late 2008 * Powered by “Frostbite DX” * Set in year modern day (just like BF2, ed.) * Will ship with 8 maps, each supporting up to 40-players per team * Two playable factions, NATO and MEC (Middle Eastern Coalition) * Same “ticket-based” gameplay style as before * Maps are mostly urban, based in Middle East * Squads and Commanders are present, introduced are “Battalions” which consist of three to four squads. * Five playable classes; Sniper, Assault, Engineer, Medic and Support * Will feature 48 different vehicles (24 for each faction) * Will feature 34 different weapons (17 for each faction) and another 22 unlocks (for both factions), in total 56 different weapons. * Other unlocks include different types of ammunition, body armor, helmets, camouflage and accessories. * Possible public beta in “Summer 2008″ * Online stats tracking, awards and “real world ranks” * “Soldier” feature, looks like MMO-styled characters and avatars * Ranked servers will be available for resellers weeks before the game ships (for testing, apparently, ed.) * In-game replay and recording feature * VoIP, friends list, in-game IM-client and “extensive clan support” * Built-in auto software updater (no more patches!, ed.) * Widows Vista and OS X (no XP?!, ed.) * Announcement and teaser trailer in January 2008. A map is mentioned by name, called “Baghdad Burning”, and appears to be a massive urban map, similar to BF2’s very popular “Strike at Karkand”. The game is powered by “Frotbite DX”, currently the Frostbite engine is used in Battlefiled: Bad Company on PS3 and Xbox 360. The “DX” could refer to DirectX (10?), a PC version of the Frostbite engine. Please note that none of this is confirmed, we’ve emailed a few people from EA and DICE (Battlefield developers) and will update the article as soon as we know more. Also note that we cannot, for obvious (legal) reasons, release the PDF document. Stay tuned for more info. [update 1] A few wanted to know if the document mentions in-game advertising, it does not, but wouldn’t be surprising, considering BF2142 had in-game advertising. [update 2] EA responded to the rumor with a “no comment” statement. Still waiting for a reply from DICE (which will probably be the same). [update 3] For clarification, the document doesn’t say that XP is not supported, it only lists Vista and OS X. [update 4] Further investigation reveals that EA DICE owns the domain “battlefield3.com” (not so important, since it was registered in 2004, so was battlefield4.com etc.). Still no reply from DICE. Stay tuned for further updates. Source http://www.digitalbattle.com/category/rumor/

Hey Charlie Oscar Delta, We've created a new Clans area on the site to help you organize and recruit members to your clans. Think of it as your Craig's List for clan recruitment. To begin, just start a thread with all of the information you'd like to include so that other members can learn more about your clan and contact you to join. We've provided a template with optional information you can include to facilitate your recruitment. In addition, we've added additional fields to your member profile so you can enter in your gamertag, the console you'll use to play COD4:MW and the name of your clan. That way, you can communicate to other members through your profile if you'd like to be contacted about your clan. Check out the new Clans feature and read the accompanying FAQ to get started. Happy gaming! Check it out: http://www.charlieoscardelta.com/board/clans.php

Introducing the first release for STL: The Aftermath STL: The Aftermath is the first hybrid mod for Legacy-half mod and half tutorial. The mod half, with improved AI, many new maps, game modes and much more gives people the chance to experience Legacy in a different light. Load up one of the many new Death Match maps and be surprised at how the enemy reacts-they will hunt you down and act smarter then originally made. Not only do you have the many new Death Match maps, you also have the Enhanced Armada mode that is different to the original Armada mode created for UUM. Gone are the predictable fleets at either end of the system and in its place are multiple fleets spread out over a system that consist of destroyer wings, cruiser wings, battleship wings, the defense line and the front line. Also gone is the bunched up fleets, the battles are further spread apart to really give the impression of giant system battles-or wars. The tutorial part of the mod offers something no other mod does-the chance and encouragement for users to mod STL: The Aftermath. With in-depth tutorials and templates for players to use, the friendly and easy structure of the tutorials allows the player to make changes without the fear of crashing the game. Also included is the Map Editor with a basic tutorial in-game that you won’t find in any other mod. Although this is the first major release, there are more releases planned with work already begun on Stage 2 that will have more tutorials and existing tutorials further improved, new ships, maps, game modes and other special features that will extend the life and user enjoyment of playing STL: The Aftermath Location of Download: http://outpostraders.com/download.php?list.3 File Name: The Aftermath Map Editor Tutorial_(pre_release) Thank you, The Aftermath Mod Team Website: http://www.outpostraders.com Email: aresgodofwar@verizon.net or tim_jennings_vic@hotmail.com

This isnt part of STL: The Aftermath, this is just a separate download for people that cant download a large mod. This is to be used on a stock install of Legacy or an install of Legacy that does not have an upgrade system. This is a fully functional upgrade system in Star Trek Legacy. Greetings Community, The Aftermath Mod Team is looking to fill a few areas under the direction of Eric the Red and Tjoz to bring together a fully functional Campaign system for Legacy. Eric the Red has built and tested a system based on the old Star Fleet Command 3 Campaign system which he has made to function in Legacy environment. Still in its experiment stages though coming along well, this is for the community as a whole! If you are interested in participating and helping or want to simply contribute by offering up maps you have made, ships or simply would like to help in other ways we are more than willing. This isn’t per se a Mod it is more less something for the entire community to come together on and work on. Items we would like or need to obtain our goal on this project: 1. Models, races: Species 8472, Vulcan, Cardassian, Dominion, Breen, Pirates, Orion, Ferengi and more….. If you wish to contribute let us know we will need the help. 2. We are going to need aprox 900 maps, any size, any type of nebula, star system. (As we realize that we aren’t going to get 900 maps we will have to double up on many maps so we will need some open space with items in them for open space. 3. Type of Maps, Station maps, Example: like a large shipyards, cargo ships, starbases, Nebulas, If you are interested please email or visit our forums: Aftermath Mod & Eric The Red Campaign System Team Forum Name: Campaign System: http://outpostraders.com/forum.php

A little set of previews for you all today, the first release will be available in the next few days. Test compile gets done later tonight, last minute testing gets done tomorrow then Friday will be day of release (Thursday for the people that are a day behind me). Today you get to see 3 map previews, they are all Death Match maps. These are only 3 of 20 original maps that will be in the first release, 19 of which are unique to STL: The Aftermath (the Death Match map Vantai was the only map brought over from UUM to STL: The Aftermath). There are 15 new Death Match maps and 5 new Armada maps. All the maps in STL: The Aftermath are made from scratch, all originals too. I like making my own environments, I like having creative freedom :D These previews have been scaled down from their original size, not only are you getting to see a preview of 3 maps but you are also seeing what the loading screens look like in STL: The Aftermath. Accurus helped me with the Aruba one that you see here. 3 Map Previews: Link to videos: http://www.outpostraders.com/e107_plugins/...pic.php?36.last Dont forget to sign up at the forums over at Outpost Traders Gaming, that is the home of STL: The Aftermath and the place to put any bug findings and comments on the upgrade system.
