Homefront publisher THQ is already planning a sequel to Kaos' shooter as well as downloadable content continuing the plot--before the original even has a release date. The game--scripted by Red Dawn creator John Milius--will only tell part of a larger tale of North Korea's near-future invasion of the USA, THQ Core Games executive VP Danny Bilson said in an investor presentation attended by GameSpot, which will be expanded through an online promotional campaign and downloadable content. "This is about a guy moving some fuel," said Bilson. "That's what the single-player is about, to restart some vehicles and retake the Golden Gate Bridge. It's the beginning of a story. We're going to tell this like a serial, with cliff-hangers. And then we intend to continue the story in [downloadable content], until we go to Homefront 2." "People say, 'Why are you going into this Call of Duty space?' And it's because I know we can compete," he enthused. I know we can compete." Homefront will hit PC, Xbox 360 and playstation when it arrives at a time yet unknown. THQ revealed in April that a sequel was already pencilled into the calendar for Vigil Games Darksiders, a full nine months ahead of the post-Apocalyptic action adventures upcoming January 5 release for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It just seems more and more problems have been deriving out of Infinity Ward’s decision to neglect dedicated server support and their last minute plan P2P announcement with IW.net. Gamers has been complaining that IW.net leads to threats from termination from their ISPs for “running servers on their home connection” and “excessive fileshare through peer to peer connections.” I am by no means an ISP security expert but I believe you have got to spend a whole lot of time playing to bring up that red flag. Ive been watching the series and i love it!

Far Cry 3 is in development and looking "pretty exciting", an Ubisoft scriptwriter has told Official PlayStation Magazine. Speaking at a recent Avatar junket, OPM asked Ubisoft scribe Kevin Shortt if he was working on a third Far Cry title and instead of the usual "no comment", the mag received a refreshing response... "No I'm not," he replied honestly. "But I know the team are and what I've seen looks pretty exciting." Far Cry 3 confirmed then, just like that. Other than that blatant response, it's mostly guess work so far on what we should expect from Far Cry 3. Last year though narrative designer Patrick Redding did mention that a sequel would likely retain an African setting, though he also mentioned Antarctica as a possibility. It's also probable the third game will be based around an improved version of the Dunia engine, OPM points out, which was specifically built to handle complex real-world physics within a sandbox environment. Public Enemy recently blogged about Modern Warfare's 2 inability to recreate Cod4's monumental gaming achievement and how Battlefield: Bad Company 2 could possibly overtake Modern Warfare's crown. "Modern Warfare 2 has been in the hands of the gaming masses for a few days and already gamers are looking to get their next FPS fix. With no dedicated servers on the PC, PS3 servers crashing, and some calling the game a $60 DLC pack, it seems Infinity Ward might have dropped the ball with MW2. It looks like DICE has been working with ATI and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will officially support DirectX 11. AMD just sent over a list of DirectX 11 game titles and when their expected release dates are going to be. It looks like DirectX 11 is finally starting to pick up some speed, which is great news for ATI Radeon HD 5000 video card series owners as you have a card supporting DX11. A new name has appeared on the DX11 game list and that would be Battlefield: Bad Company 2! This is a big title game, so that should help boost sales for AMD. DiRT 2 is coming out on December 1st, so it looks like DirectX 11 is about to get a shot in the arm with these major game titles. NVIDIA's GT300 'Fermi' graphics solution for DirectX 11 is missing in action and is rumored to not be coming out in volume until April 2010. If that is the case AMD has a six month head start on DX11! DICE Rendering Architect, Johan Andersson also confirmed this on twitter. Jedi, I think and i believe it was you that brought it up before that you claim that BFBC1 was simply an test bed, i think the same thing as well as Mirrors Edge and Battlefield Heroes to prefect BFBC2 and BF3.

What do you all think of the interview? We weren't able to get in alot of questions due to the fact that they were able to ask alot of what we did want to know. We apologize to anyone that was hoping for more than that. We will be looking to get an follow up interview perhaps around 2010 Jan. So at that time they might be able to answer more, i was rather disappointed but at the same time i also understand.
