Try a free prog called paint.net, makes alpha dead easy, you set the transparncy you want with a slider. -
You might think I'm crazy but bare with me....

 Trust me there's plenty of discoulouration on this old beastie, and if you are in to rivets....well..you'd be in heaven, I have never seen such a dirty wing in my life, the top of the wing, which is huge in area, is just covered in domed rivets and screw heads, I rekon that if they had flush riveted the islander, you could get another 10 knots out of her. -

No numbers needed, all you do is to drop the included pilot and seat lod's and image files into the folder named aircraft (main directory inside objects folder) and the pilot and seat are in the correct place. -
Jumped.

Bongodriver replied to Dels's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
What's wrong with British products? Kestrel was a British aircraft, forerunner to the Harrier, so was the Skua and Albatross British. How about Mustang? I know Mustang I, II, III already existed as British counterparts to the US version -

DOH!! No the canards are not supposed to flutter, this is an issue some ad on aircraft have had, the FM tweaking in these games can be quite difficult and I make no claim to be an expert, I thinks someone has addressed the issue here but I don't remember where. -

My first Idea is to read the read me, then read the topics on this forum all about the problem. Are you using wings over europe, wings over vietnam or strike fighters? almostcertainly that will be the main issue you are facing. if so you need to delete the last 2 entries in the avionics.ini, the ones for steerpoint and steering cue -

Bongodriver replied to Bongodriver's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Youre probably correct, but untill the game engine supports 5th generation type aircraft we have to settle with whatever the FM's can be tweaked to, I personally think I got the FM to be more agile than most other aircraft without getting too many odd behaviours. also try turning at different airspeeds, the typhoon turns better at high speed than anything else I have engaged (similar to the real thing) Craig -

No permission required from me, I enjoy seeing folks having fun with this thing, that's what I built it for. Nice work by the way -

Hi, did you put the included pilot and seat lods and image files into the folder named aircraft? some people had the issue because they put those files into the Typhoon folder. The typhoon doesn't use stock afterburner effects, this is easy to change, just change the relevant line in the data.ini to a stock effect, it currently uses an addon effect from an add on F-15. -

The left and centre MFD's return to default pages when the hud is set to nav mode, the right MFD changes back when you turn off the radar. -

yes sorry, it is too easy to assume everyone understands english, hopefully you won't have to wait long for the WOE patch, then everything will work. -

Bongodriver replied to Bongodriver's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
You mean you didn't read the readme? , yes the MFD's change, they change when you select different hud modes, the fuel page is on by default (left screen) it changes to the weapons page on selection of any weapon or hud mode to A/A or A/G, this works in WOE and WOI. -

Bongodriver replied to Bongodriver's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Well, in WOE the digital fuel readings won't work (there is no tweak to make it work) they are spciffically designed for WOI, but on the fuel MFD page you will get an indication of fuel, the external tank readings are only accurate when you have 3 drop tanks attached. -

Bongodriver replied to Fubar512's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
Thats correct, the issue is more than just a bit of editing in an ini file, the difference goes right down to the 3d model, The counters in WOI are a new format DIGITAL DISPLAY which WOE does not support (until new patch is released) they cannot be tweaked to work in WOE. -

again shadows are a WOI vs WOE thing, I decided to go WOI on this thing because sooner or later everything will be WOI compatible with the patches, maybe I should have waited for the patches -
