  1. NeverEnought, that is very thoughtfull of you, I'm glad you appreciate how rare my hair is
  2. [Radar_Mode_TWS] SymbolType=ASE_CIRCLE Position=-0.60,-0.780 TextureIRM=cockpit\RADAR\mode_tws.tga TextureSAHM=cockpit\RADAR\mode_tws.tga TextureAHM=cockpit\RADAR\mode_tws.tga RemoveOnBreakX=FALSE ImageSize=0.15 And the [Radar_Mode_TWS] was not called in the [RadarDisplayTWS] By adding the line Symbol[21]=Radar_Mode_Tws, the indication TWS appears when you choose TWS radar mode Hmm, but if I interpret this correctly, you are just trying to achieve the effect of bringing up a simple indicator showing TWS by associating it with an alowable steering error circle, when as I mentioned a single call for a text entry will show TWS on screen, this is where I have to admit to using someone elses work, I basically studied the avionics of the F-15 and F-22, made verbatim entries from those files, deleted things that I felt were surplus, and some .tga's I was using in development didnt get deleted, and you found it. as I mentioned, I ommitted the need for a TWS marker on screen by making a mode indicator button on the MFD, what you are doing here is almost replacing a usefull symbology like the ASE circle with a simple mode indicator, I can't be sure of it but I imagine the avionics might not allow multiple ASE circles to be displayed simultaneously, hope you understand my meaning here.
  3. EF-2000

Yes better make sure of that, have you any idea how much these things cost?, now go and get a new ship and carry on having fun.
  4. Happy birthday to ya!

    Happy Birthday!
  5. Stick I hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread to answer snakemans question, but its a quick answer, the drop tanks will work with WOE/WOV etc... it's just the text entry I included is for the WOI verion of the weapondata.ini, there are extra lines in a WOI entry which I dont know how they affect in the other series, simple answer would be to look at a WOE wepondata entry for a fuel tank and delete lines which dont appear in WOE versions.
  6. Not at all there is enough inteligence on this forum to understand constructive from petty, now with the TWS issue you are talking about, there is actually no need to use a tga, both for WOI or the other series, you can use a text entry, I actually don't remembet a tga file for TWS mode, I do have a TWS light for the MFD button, but the image is from the MFD main bitmap (this actually is a feature that will work in both series I think), I think I opted not to use a TWS marker on the radar display because it shows on the MFD button I mentioned, if it isn't showing then maybe it's the WOI vs WOE series thing
  7. The cheque is in the post Mighound, thank you very much.
  8. Canadair no insult is taken, it is exactly the kind of feedback I am relying on to put things right, as long as folks can be patient I will be following all feedback as it comes and try to compile a cumulative fix. a couple of the points you have made are maybe a matter of preference, I allready maintained that this aircraft is now out for the rest of you to tweak as you wish, you seem to be quite switched on in terms of avionics, I would be honoured if you wanted to come up with a fix that we could share with the community. I tried to make the forward left amraam bay do exactly what you mentioned through development, I actually did get it to work, but for reasons beyond my understanding there were adverse effects on other parts of the loadout, I got the impression it was more complex than just the limitation of number of weapon station groups.
  9. Nope, It's a typo I missed I guess obviously it needs to be Symbol[09] You may be talkin WOE terms here, I explained that some features are set specifically for WOI and the upcoming patches, I can't quite make sense of what you are saying here.
  10. This is good news indeed sir, I'm glad that at least for some the performance is working well.
  11. Takes a deeeeeeep breath, Hello, yes the file got accidentally excluded, the issue has been extensively discussed in all the threads relating to the typhoon, the fix is quick and dirty, open the avionics.ini file and delete the last 2 entries for steering cue and steerpoint and that will fix the CTD, I mentioned that the model has been created for WOI and the upcoming patches for the rest of the series, so that means it just cannot have all features implemented in the rest of the series until the new patches come out. I didn't want to exclude non WOI owners on purpouse, it's just not practical to make a 3d model for both versions when the rest of the series are just waiting on an imminent patch.
  12. Thanks drdoyo, I poured a little extra into the pit, so I'm glad it has a good response, Believe it or not I'm not actually a Typhoon fan as such myself, I have general love of aircraft and they each have an appeal, give me a spitfire (real one) and I would turn down being in command of the space shuttle, F-22, Typhoon, Flanker etc.. I'm lucky to actually have time on 2 of my favourite aircraft, 270 hours on tiger-moths and 160 hours on Stearmans.
  13. EF-2000

I should thank you, lifted a weight off me and kept my enthusiasm up, I spoke to Fubar last night during the upload exitement, I think he has other things more pressing for now (he did a great job sorting out the mess) will give column5 a PM soon unless he has been following allready...hint hint
  14. Thanks Viggie, yes I got a little sleep.
  15. EF-2000

I wan't the solution to this one as much as you do, I am no genious when it comes to FM work, I am allready studying the ini files to see what can be done, a fix will be posted when available
  16. EF-2000

One for the knowledge base I think, theres nothing specific with this model you need to do, like many of the add on aircraft you need to get buried in the guts of the game ini files to get these aircraft to show in campaigns etc...
  17. Deja vu, I thought I had allready answered this one, i think on one of the other threads, ok again- at the moment the fix is quick and dirty as this hopefully wont be needed too long, just waiting for the patches, simply open the avionics.ini and delete the last 2 entries for the steering cue and steerpoint and the game wont crash any more, any other issues with WOE/WOV/SFP can't be dealt with as this has been created specifically for WOI and the equivalent patched versions of the other series, I wan't to make this progressive no regressive.
  18. Good afternoon, EF-2000 Typhoon help line, how may I help you.... I need to relax, I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next post to answer. Just a note, hopefully the typhoon is mostly useable and the issues so far discussed have been solved for most, I think on the release of the patches all will be well, just keep feedback coming, my intention is to work on this thing and over time improve on it where my knowledge allows.
  19. the radar won't be a big deal, you must know that in simple terms the WOI avionics70 alows ground mapping radar, check again and you will find you can't get ground map in SF or WOE etc.. The flutter, yes I don't know how that is fixed, I am basically hoping that now this thing is out some of the available talent will take it upon themselves to pull it appart and get it right, whoever does hopefully won't be selfish and share their dicoveries. I forgot to add that in my own experience, the flutter doesn't persist, it has for me been a transonic issue, stabilising as you reach about mach 1.2
  20. Yes, my bad I guess, sort of lazyness on my part I didn't change the data.ini back to include stock effects, I set it up to use the add-on F-15 effects, simple fix if you have a basic knowledge of the ini files.
  21. That's right, it was a bit of a dilema for me, I made some features that could only shine in WOI i.e cockpit linked animations and some new avionics features, so I went down the WOI compatibility road on the basis that patches would come out at some point for the rest of the series, inherent to that the avionics take advantage of the WOI avionics70.dll, which as we all know is very different to the old avionics70, so I hated the fact that I had to sort of abandon the ones who are still without WOI, but I hope you all appreciate that modding actually ain't easy to do and making life simple for myself I opted to make a dirty work around for WOE compatibility.
  22. Bounder, did you make sure the included pilot and seat were put into the aircraft folder?
  23. EF-2000

Other right words maybe are: Congratulations Craig, after a long pregnancy, you're the dad of a pretty, healty son! Interesting analogy, but thanks X-RAY, glad you like it
  24. All true, and I knew it, I just hope that no offence is created by claiming credit to the British, however a contribution is made it is still a contribution, much like this model is a co-operation, it's my model but the skins are Sundowners, skins can't fly without wings and wings, well you know what I mean.....
