Thanks to the recent topics concerning software piracy, and the fact there suddenly was a small clip of a Monkey Island ™ game, I decided to reinstall my Monkey Island ™ Special Editions. These are the first two remade, and part 3 and 4 (which are not as good as the first 2). I am having a blast!!!!!! Remember the fun these games were, the humour used in the games is still epic!!!! Lucasarts never made such sweet games. A pity the genre almost died. I love it, I am a Monkey Island ™ fan! Yarrr! PS: for those not familiar with the games http://www.milegend.com/

Hi! Just out of curiosity. When not fiddling around with the TW sims, I really like to play FPS on my PC. I have the Battlefield, Medal of honor an Call of Duty series from the beginning and I like them all. Every episode has its plusses and minuses. I was wondering who of you are playing these games ,too? Especially the ones now playable via Steam? Do you play as a lone wolf, or as a part of a group/clan? Tell me, and just a brainfart; find me as 'Muesli-NL' to play together as CombatAce team mate (or adversary!). Cheers

Hi! I can still NOT believe the complete lack of interest to help out. CA has thousands of members, hundreds coming here regularly.... I would have thought CA by now had at least $2,500 collected, and I am speaking my mind here when I say I am really disappointed! Even in some bad situations, people try to make an effort to make CA what it is today. These people do that for free, in their spare time! Many others enjoy the forum ànd the downloads. Why isn't it possible to make a donation when CA needs YOU? Or is CA just a place to stop by when YOU need CA? If so, don't be surprised when there will be changes in the future. No money means no space for all the downloads. Eventually no CA! Like that idea? Reason I am so angry is the fact that this site is the best there is in this genre and it has 1,000s of 'members' who now turn a blind eye. The silence is deafening... Although I am chronically short of funds, I tried to help out by donating. It is not possible that all of these members haven't seen this cry-for-help topic. By just ignoring this and hoping for the best (as I figure also happened one time earlier our help was asked) i.m.h.o. you do not belong here! I do not mean the people with legitimate reasons! But it's really time to step up and save CA! I am now going outside, drive around in my LW and hopefully flatten some dumb animal stupid enough to cross the street in my vicinity. Man, i am really p*ssed! Except for the 'regulars' I always had a prettier picture of the CA community than I now have... Pretty disappointed, and I don't care about the following reactions. Awwww man.... How many members do we actually have? How much is downloaded by how many people? I mean, even in my situation I try to give a few bucks to keep CA alive.... and I can't even spare a dime. I am a sucker for Dosbox (also on Android!!!) and for ScummVM so I can play Maniac Mansion (1 and 2) and the Monkey Island games. Man, do I love retro! I have: -A DOS emu (Dosbox and ScummVM). -A C64 emu (WinVice) -An Amiga emu (WinUAE) -A NES emu (Nestopia) -An arcade collection under MAME. With a total of about 250 GB of 'abandonware' and ROMs. Sheesh, where do I find the time to play SF2 or an FPS??!!

I stopped watching when the Ray Cokes programme stopped. he cracked me up big time! After that it went downwards imho; less videos, more 'real life soaps' and nothing related to music. Wish there was an alternative for us here in NL, playing the old metal, rock and alternative music videos.
