  1. New Years Plans?

Going to the Dutch countryside, away from fireworks and drunken people. Just sitting near the fireplace with a very nice Suntory whiskey and some CCR.
  2. Last of my 2009 sreenies; flew this stovepipe and remember why I simply love the little MiGs. Have a great New Year's Eve all! See you again in 2010, Muesli
  3. "You're not cool!" blog

Hi FastCargo, you really cracked me up! A pity there are those people, who ruin it for the majority. It is as recognisable as the dude who thought a particular handgun was cooler than the one I had when I served. He made his assumption based on the sidearm he uses in a computergame...... super FAIL! Muesli PS: I for one would really like it if you told a few of your Rhino stories! "I'll show mine if you show yours"" ...
  4. My screenie for today, I had 15 minutes to play between painting the baby's room and laying the wooden floor.... Some flying in a big bird.
  5. And in what aspect is this skin different from the one that already exists? Is that canopy fix the only thing?
  6. Hi, I'll start! I am not the person to send paper Holiday cards, a digital card has the same message and is received quicklier. Above all it is more fun, so for everyone; a fabulous Christmas and a sparkling New Years Eve! Make it happen in 2010, I'll talk to you again! Cheers, Iwan, Eveline and “?” (Because of the 7 month pregnancy) And for the curious ones: http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/1yXYXxHn3ZhkVSfZP4OZ
  7. Brothers in Arms

Ever had a song that reminds you of a period in your life which is good and bad at the same time? I heard "Brothers in Arms" on the radio and was suddenly overcome with a mix of emotions I couldn't handle. My wife found me crying in the kitchen. The song reminds me of my tour of duty in Bosnia in 1994, it reminds me of both happiness and utter despair. It reminds me of comradery, brutality of war and the inadequacy of the international community. It reminds me of fellow soldiers fighting, hurting and dying for the cause. It reminds me of all those soldiers coming home again, bringing a piece of war back home deep in their hearts and heads. It reminds me of pride, proud of being part of a select group of individuals. Proud to be a veteran. For all of you out there with whom I share that feeling, and for all of you who stand beside us. Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms. Peace for you all, good fortune and a quiet and untroubled life. You deserve it. Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms These mist covered mountains Are a home now for me But my home is the lowlands And always will be Some day you'll return to Your valleys and your farms And you'll no longer burn To be brothers in arms Through these fields of destruction Baptism of fire I've watched all your suffering As the battles raged higher And though they did hurt me so bad In the fear and alarm You did not desert me My brothers in arms There's so many different worlds So many different suns And we have just one world But we live in different ones Now the sun's gone to hell And the moon's riding high Let me bid you farewell Every man has to die But it's written in the starlight And every line on your palm We're fools to make war On our brothers in arms Iwan "Muesli" Ruedisueli

  12. You can still find low mileage older cars

Mine (the little red one of course)! Almost 14 years old, still doing 1 litre to 17 kilometres when driving 110 km/h. Very satisfying, as it feels like driving 220 km/h that low to the tarmac. It's a Rover built Mini Kensington 1996 with a 1.3 injection engine producing a whopping 70 bhp. Empty weight is just over 600 kilogrammes so it's as fast as lightning. This version was sold in The Netherlands, Germany and Japan and has full leather seats, Webasto roof, walnut wood interior and that fiesty engine. A pity it only has 4 gears, otherwise the top speed would have been even better. Well, really driving 160 km/h is scary..... Bought it a couple of years ago and will never sell it, it is a dream to drive in although a bit bumpy like a kart. Hurray for the oldies!
  13. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnndddd, in English please! Gracias!

Hello fellow aviators! First customised skin for the ROCAF Mirage 2000-5! With permission I used the skin included with the airplane and I created a set of accurate serials. There are eight in total, ranging from EI04 (2004) to EI46 (2046). To avoid a certain glitch in the tail I had to place the serial a bit more forward than it uses to be but it is not disturbing. Also I have toned down the insignia to a more appropriate low visibility format (as seen in photos). Go fly! Muesli Thanks to IAFMars, YEYEYE and Erwin_Hans for the Mirage, thanks to IAFMARS for the basic skin!
