  1. NF4 issues?

Emp_Palpatine: What's the "little thing with Belougas"? What loadout were you using? Was it a custom loadout? What did you expect to be loaded on those stations? What year were you flying? Please give me a little more data to work with. Thanks, Eric Howes
  2. dogshu: There's no problem with the CBU-24s on the B-26K -- just flew an armed recon mission and they work fine. I would recommend rechecking your key assignments. And don't forget to open the bomb bay doors when using the Attack loadout (CAS and Armed Recon mission), as the CB-24s are carried in the bomb bay in that loadout. Eric Howes
  3. NF4 issues?

Emp_Palpatine: Your first problem is a terrain problem. The Danish airfield FSN.Skrydstrup is one of three new airfields added to that area of the map by the original NF4 Team (the others are Leck and Husum). One of the terrain gurus would have to take a look at this. Tthe airbase area might need re-flattening. Whatever the case, there is no easy fix, unfortunately. You could try moving the squadrons assigned to FSN.Skrydstrup in the campaigns to Leck Airbase or Husum Airbase, but I can't guarantee you wouldn't run into the same problem at those bases as well. As for your other problem, you'll need to talk to the folks who released the new tiles you installed. Eric Howes
  4. Soulfreak: The loadout.ini specifies two different racks: Canberra_Pylon Canberra_2xRP_Pylon Were those released in a previous mod? If so, which one? Thanks, Eric Howes
  5. Folks: The initial release of the "Falklands '82 for SF2" seems to have generated a lot of interest. In addition to bug reports, I'm also getting suggestions and submissions from various people for items in the mod that can or ought to be updated. We are planning to release a comprehensive updated version of the mod to incoprorate bug fixes and updated items that we receive. I figured I'd start this thread to serve as a catch-all place where folks can share or upload what they have. So, please, if you have bug reports, suggested updates, or (even better) files that can be used for the comprehensive updated version of the mod, please post and share them in this thread. I cannot promise that every suggestion and submission will be used, but if your submission is quality and you can make a good case for why something or other in the original release ought to be fixed/updated/changed, then there's a good chance we will use it. Thanks, Eric Howes
  6. Emp_Palpatine: The County Class destroyed model is easily fixed -- simply edit the DATA.INI for the ship, changing this line... DestroyedModel=\County_Class\Warship1_Destroyed ...to this... DestroyedModel=\County_Class\Warship1_Destroyed.LOD In other word, add a .LOD onto theend of the line. As for the Super Etendard, I haven't noticed the problem you describe. Eric Howes
  7. Emp_Palpatine: You could limit the number of Exocets to five in the campaign DATA.INI. The problem is that an AI will blow the entire stock in one mission, instead of conserving it and using it sparingly as the Agentineans did in real life. Eric Howes
  8. Emp_Palpatine: Glad to hear it's working now. As for the Type12M frigate, it was fixed months ago. If it's still not fixed in your install, then the update wan't applied correctly. Eric Howes
  9. Emp_Palpatine: OK, restore the old campaign names. If you're still seeing the default menu images, then the custom ModuleFalklands82.cat han't been installed correctly. But that shouldn't cause a crash when clicking Campaign on the main menu. The game is likely crashing because it's looking for something that it can't find. That missing item is either: a) one of the custom Falklands aircraft; b) one of the default SF2 aircraft. Let's do another install. This time, though, do not delete the \Objects sub-directory in your Mod Folder. Follow the rest of the install instructions, though. The result should be an \Aircraft sub-directory with all the default SF2 aircraft plus the new Falklands aircraft. Also, do not install the Beta Update pack. Try the Campaign menu option after your initial install. If it works, then proceed to install the Beta Update pack. Eric Howes
  10. Emp_Palpatine: Try editing the CampaignName= line of each main campaign INI for the mod. Remove the date so that... CampaignName=19820425 Guerra de las Malvinas ...becomes... CampaignName=Guerra de las Malvinas ...and... CampaignName=19820425 Operation Corporate ...becomes... CampaignName=Operation Corporate Eric Howes
  11. Emp_Palpatine: Did you install the beta update package from this thread? http://combatace.com/topic/61633-sf2-falklands-82-fixes-updates/page__st__40 What patch level are you on? Can you play single missionss? Eric Howes
  12. PraetorHonoris: Try the attached DATA.INI for the F-106 -- just drop it in your F-106A folder. It should fix the stability problem. Eric Howes F-106A_DATA.zip
  13. Emp_Palatine: I've noticed that with several aircraft. My policy is simply to fly those missions as Fighter Sweep missions. Eric Howes
  14. Folks: I have refreshed this beta update package with a few new fixes/updates. Fixed/added in this "refresh" are: - upgrades for the Lynx and Sea King (new cockpits, avionics, and other misc things) - minor fixes for the campaigns - front line fix for British ships ending up on the wrong side in campaigns - change of alignment for Port Howard in TARGETS.INI - a few other extremely minor tweaks Download link is the same as before: https://netfiles.uiu..._Update_Beta.7z A complete list of fixes and updates is inlcuded in the ReadMe, as are installation instructions. Before applying this update pack you hould replace your old Weapons folder with this newer, updated one (if you haven't already done so): https://netfiles.uiu...F82_Weapons.rar As before, this update does contain some "optional" installs in a separate directory. Eric Howes
  15. Agaphe: If you installed the previously upoaded version of Update 4, you should be fine. Eric Howes
  16. Folks: The update files for both versions of the Expansion Pack have been refreshed again: WOV April 2011 Update: http://combatace.com/topic/53706-wov-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-gold-apr-2011-update/page__view__getnewpost SF2V April 2011 Update: http://combatace.com/topic/52002-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-apr-2011-update/page__view__getnewpost Eric Howes
  17. Folks: This update file has been refreshed again. 19. dtmdragon: The update is being refreshed -- new file waiting to be approved. Eric Howes
  20. Emp_Palpatine: The tanks and engine sounds are known bugs. We have an update coming out shortly that fixes those problems. As for the guns, I'm not aware of a problem there -- that's a stock aircraft and we haven't made any changes to the guns from the default. Do the guns on the F-84F work in SF2E? Eric Howes
  21. NF4 issues?

Folks: I took another look at the Mirage 5F weapon stations, and I've figured out a way to enforce the year restrictions on the different IRMs without allowing players to mistakenly load multiple weapons on the outside pylons. See the attached RAR, which contains two new INIs for the Mirage 5F and three new custom IRMs for the 5F's IRM stations. Basically, I collapsed the two sets of IRM stations into one, restricted them with the SpecificStationCode, created three new IRMs with that SpecificStationCode, then specified the Magics to be loaded in the Loadout.INI. For years prior to 1975 the only available IRM for the game to grab will be the custom AIM-9B (whereas in my earlier testing it was grabbing other, inappropriate IRMs for pre-1975 years, not the -9B). Eric Howes M5F_Alt.rar
  22. NF4 issues?

ianh755: The problem is that if you group all three stations (which is what I originally did), the game starts doing funny things, like ignoring the year restrictions on some of the stations. As a result, you start getting the wrong IRMs loaded through the default loadouts. Eric Howes
  23. NF4 issues?

Emp_Palpatine: It looks like you used a custom loadout for the Mirage 5F and added two different weapons to the outside wing pylons. The way the weapons stations are constructed, the game will let you do that, but the result is what you see -- two weapons on the same point. The solution is to not load two weapons on the same point when customizing loadouts (the default loadouts don't do this). I could re-construct the weapons stations so that the game wouldn't let you do that, but it would result in the wrong IRMs being loaded per time period. Eric Howes
  24. Commandant Wireman: Read the ReadMe. It has all the ideas you need for unlocking the PF. Eric Howes
