  1. Breaking News: they just talked about it, there was an anti-hollande protest in paris, which turned to be a mixbag protest for anyone who was against hollande, from communist party to far right. A policeman was even severely hurt! Very sad, and not representing the french AT ALL

  2. hum, do you know when this was shot?

    I live in Paris, and haven't heard about it, nor in the news. We usually have a pretty strong remembrance of all the atrocity committed in WW2, and medias as well as a vast majority of people are prompt to condemn antisemitic actions. Be sure that france and the french people is still a friend and ally of israel.

    But i agree a number of such morons (ie antisemitic idiots) are present in paris. Such a shame.

  3. As for me, i just would like to see phone games exclusive planes (like mig-25, f-5, su 27, rafale and f-18,...) as a DLC for PC. This wouldn't be a big job, and would make a ton of $$$. The other thing I would like to see is a properly working alpha channel, but this might be a bit more complicated...

    Considering SF2 future, i don't blame TK for making mobile game at the moment. I mean, anything that brings money to TK is good for the PC sim too. TK being broke, on the other way...

    I think at some point he'll come back with a little something for PC game. maybe he just need to talk about it a bit more, and we just need to a bit more be patient, and a bit less complaining (this is just my 2 cents here, i'm not targeting anyone :) )

  4. I would say one of your weapon effect is not up to date, and is missing a "EffectShaderName=" entry in the ini file.

    You could try one of the following:

    - Update your effects if your are using mods like strary's.

    - Move all your ini in an onther folder, and sequentially bring them back to the effect folder. You'll probably find the culprit when the game crashes again.

    - check you ini files and see where "EffectShaderName=" is missing; and if so, correct. (most used shaders are EffectShaderName=effectLightLevel.fx, usually for smoke, water effect, and EffectShaderName=effectFire.fx for anything related to fire / flame things. Please guys correct me if i'm wrong).

    I would advise you one of the 2 first options :)

    Edit: sorry, didn't see you solved this already

  5. These boats work just fine in SF2 pre-NA.

    For SF2 NA, you can make them work even better:

    -make a copy of name_of_the_carrier.LOD, and name this copy name_of_the_carrier_COL.LOD

    -open name_of_the_carrier_DATA.INI and search for section [GroundObjectData]

    -replace/add the following:

    DamagedModel=
    DestroyedModel=
    DestroyedEffect=ShipDestroyedEffect
    DamageEffect=ShipFireEffect
    SystemDamageEffect=ShipSystemFireEffect
    CollisionMesh= name_of_the_carrier_COL.LOD
    SinkTime=120.0

    I found this trick in the SimHQ forum a while ago, but i can't find the post back.

    Background****************************************

    From ACIG.org: "Namely, one of the RLAF T-28 pilots at the time – and one described by the US

    instructors as the “most aggressive” of all – was Lt. Chert Saibory, a former RTAF-pilot, who

    defected to Laos in 1960. Chert initially offered his services to Kong Le, but was turned down.

    Remaining in Vientianne, Chert then joined the RLAF - once Gen. Phoumi returned to power - and

    flew many combat sorties but was never promoted in rank. For unclear reasons, in September 1963

    Chert decided to defect once more and during an airshow that was to be staged over Savannakhet

    he flew his T-28 away from the rest of formation – to North Vietnam. Instead of commissioning

    him in their air force the North Vietnamese imprisoned Chert: several months later his T-28 was

    refurbished and – serialled “963”, in commemoration of the date when it was acquired – became

    the first fighter aircraft of the Vietnam People’s Air Force (VPAF)."

    Pilots Nguyen Van Ba and Le Tien Phuoc flew it to shoot down a US C-123 over Laos in 1964.

    This skin was painted using a single profile as a reference, some artistic license was used for

    the rest of the airframe.

    This mod features a modded data.ini file, that is using VPAF pilots, and a modded loadout.ini

    file, that is using soviet ammo.
