Looks like a badly setup monitor to me. There is no detail in the clouds because the whites are blown out. Clouds are what I use to tell if when I watch a movie to see if my TV has good contrast ratio or needs adjusting. I don't see how it simulates the human eye at all.

I have Win7 64bit installed right now and both Il2 and F4.0-AF are installed on my PC and run fine.

My cpu is C2D@3.4GHZ and have 4GB of DDR2 ram. I don't think my cpu is the issue and it is just a poorly coded gamethat is the problem. Using the highly touted DX10 "feature" is just a waste of time. I can get FSX running OK but I was expecting better. I was thinking of upgrading to i7 870 with 4GB of DDR3 but from what I have read it is not much of an upgrade unless I can get the cpu to OC to about 4.0GHZ.

The person is from mainland China and can afford an apartment at $57mil?! I guess that is not so hard when they pay people $2.00 - 3.00 per day and charge the workers rent and utilities on top for living in a run down factory dorm.

Check out this video card comparison chart to get a good idea of what you get for the buck. I just put in a 5870 and it is fast but needs better drivers. If you are on a somewhat tight budget I would probably go for 4890 1GB. http://www.madshrimp...cle&articID=953

I bougth OFP2 a few days back and it is good but not great. The mission editor is fun to play with though and I see with a little modding and patching this game can have a long life on my HDD.

Speaking of PhysX...my main video card is a 5870 but I came across a hack that allows you to use a Nvidia card with latest Nvidia drivers purely as a PhysX card but when I went to install an 8800GT in my case I found out there is not enough room due to my X-Fi being installed and there is no other PCI slot further away to move the X-Fi to. Bummer. My only possible solution is to remove the X-Fi and use the onboard audio instead but not sure if I really want to do that. That is the way to get fast graphics and PhysX at the same time though.

I`ve used that terrain mod in the past and should instal it again in the Cambrai folder but for Verdun I use a terrain tile set that is borrowed from Microsft Flightsim.

I thought American beer had a legal limit on how much alcohol it can contain and was why beers like Bud are weak compared to some Canadian beers but I was wrong. I have a liquor store list here of all the products they sell at Gov. liquor store in B.C. and I see one American beer called Brooklyn Brewery - Black Chocolate Stout and it is 10.10% alcohol. That's strong beer! I see another called Olde English 800 Malt Liquor and it is 8.00%. There are a few more that are well over 4.5% too. The strongest beers I can find in the list all come from the U.S.A. I'm going to have to check a few of those out.

I read once that if there is too much alcohol in the beer then it can ruin the flavour. Strongest beer I have had was a beer called Old English Porter and it was 9.5% but that was a stout and not ale or lager. IPA is a type of beer that was invented for the East India Company to keep it preserved longer for long sea voyages by using higher alcohol content and it is only about 5.5%. 27% for a beer? That's extremely high alcohol content for beer. Wine is only 11 - 12%.

I'm finding lack of talk about the campaign in RoF at simhq rather suspect. Anyone can post some useful details about it here? I go to login to simhq this morning and find out I am banned there, once again, so can't discuss it at their RoF forum. <sigh>

I bought RoF a few days back even though I know it isn't the greatest and I hate the DRM system but online purchases just make it too easy to say no. If OFF had online purchases I would have bought that already too. I put in 2 new 1TB HDDs and had to re-install everything (installed Win7 RC) so have been too busy to play RoF yet. All I've done is taken it for a quick spin and didn't even look at the campaign, I will try to do that tomorrow. Looks pretty is all I can say about it right now.

I've looked at aerial photos of the areas, including the front lines and the stock terrain in FE is not far of reality. The issues are that it needs more variation and more objects like houses, farms, roads. Plus it needs a bit more variation in color and the stock green colour I don't like much.

I saw a news video about that today on ABC news. Botched surgeries are not as uncommon as some people think. I've heard of people going in for one thing and getting something completely different done because they got the paper work mixed up. I went to day surgery unit to have special zinc bandages put on ulcer in my ankle and the orderly said to me we are ready to do your hemorrhoid operation now. Seriously, he said that and that's what he thought I was there for. I do have hemorrhoids but never made any appointment to have them removed at all.

Yes, that is correct. My father was a driving instructor in his later years and he said the same thing. Side mirrors are to see your blind spots and not behind you. The rear view mirror is there to see behind you. He said most people don't know how to set their side mirrors correctly. Friend of mine not long ago was in my car and said my side view mirrors were set incorrectly so had to explain to him why they were set that way and it was he who was wrong.

Hey, I just saw a news video on ABC today where another ex-marine killed a bear with a log. Bear was attacking his kid so he threw a log at the bears head and it killed the 300lb black bear. Good thing it wasn't a grizzly because you would need a whole tree to kill one of those. There have been cases of Mountain Lions stalking people and attacking them in B.C. so they are not as reclusive as the article states. When I lived in Victoria I had to ride my mountain bike at night to work and there was a mountain lion about that had a attacked a 5 year old boy. They finally caught it right near where I worked and where I worked was in a suburban area of Victoria and not way out in the wild.

If they work with Vista then they will work on Win7. Only reason they might not is due to driver issues for Win7 and not the OS. Win7 is just updated version of Vista.

Last time I tried FF5 I didn't see a Typhoon in it but if there is one now I will go get the latest version and install it again. Is there a certain base I must select to fly out of to get a Typhoon? If so, which one? SE2000 and TAW are just way to dated now for me to enjoy. They both run way to fast on my PC.
