  1. "Baby steps" young one... "baby steps". What you don't see is some poly optimization... animation timings... engine tweaking... DM tweaking... load and start screens... the starting of the cockpit... Concidering I get "maybe" 2 to 3 hours on the PC 2 to 3 times week... I'm pretty happy with what I've been able to accomplish! And unless you've unlocked new things within the Thirdwire engine... we are stuck with a HUD. I tried just projecting onto the windscreen but there is no sence of depth and the read-outs appear to be floating in mid-air. Got a better idea?
  2. Naw... I prefer to keep you guys on your toes by making you try and figure out what's changed!...
  3. Damn it!... You watch me like a hawk. :slow(en): Nope... not fixed in this build. (It's on the list though)... I need to be careful how I pull verts around or I'll end up hosing the paint jobs! actually I've yet to poly-optimize the bird fully yet... I figure I can shave 200+ polys off her still. I'll tackle the nose and canopy when I clean all that up. (Though... unlike you, I'm partial to the rounded nose)
  4. Thanks DBones! The engine modeling is still very much a "work in progress"... Thus the pretty fire works at speed. Basicly it's a matter of tweaking the rpm and temapture variable of the engines. Once I finalize all the LODs inside and out I'll break out my slide rule and square all this away.
  5. LOL! Good riddance I say! j/k! Truth be told... I've been in your shoes "several" times... No matter how fustrated you get, a day will come when you can't stand being on the outside looking in... and something pulls ya back in. Enjoy your vacation... You'll need it when you come storming back! www.Zur-TECH.com
  6. Seeking Advice

Why?... Hell, we love to make things difficult! Truth be told... it's one part "I read it and it makes perfect sense"... one part "English is not my native language"... and one part "You've been doing this long enough to figure it out". Having someone proof your read-me is a no-brainer... but it's not always a for thought. Translation into universal English is a major hurdle. And Lastly, people forget that newbies will be DL'ing this stuff right along with the grizzled veterans. www.Zur-TECH.com
  7. Not your imagination... The canards / elevators really haul the nose around. Much more so that most of the other birds. The acceleration is pretty beefy right now too... which leads to pretty harsh red/black-out conditions. Mind you... the Flight-model right now is a "work-in-progress"... and is currently being refined. Ultimately the FM will still be dangerous... just a little less juiced with steroids.
  8. The Cockpit_blank is actually the external model cockpit made "into" the players cockpit... I use it to find the general placement, shape and global center for the actual pit... I got into the habit of doing this as a lot of user made planes have the virtual cokpits everywhere except where they should be.... and it drives me nuts.
  9. Yup... your right they should have a nagative dihedral. Will definately be address in the final package (Actually they "were" tilted down at one time... must have lost that animation somewhere along the way)... The fiery top-end is an engine peramter out of sus... This area is being squared away by someone who knows better how to masage the flight-model portion of the plane than I... Will all get squared away. Keep'm coming!
  10. Too wide? I think those shots may bee fooling your eyes a bit... Here's the over head 3-way I used as a template (captured from the transition from a cheese video on the official STEALTH website)... Again... not bad for government work! (Nice critiquing though... your making me look at it's imperfections that much closer) :D
  11. LOL! No worries critiques are always welcome... I'll look further into the nose and canopy... Mind you I build this from frame captures and some blurry images from the movie website... It's in no way 100% accurate... Thanks for the Kudos! Download can be found here: www.Zur-TECH.com
