  1. Thanks much. This is the free Korean terrain (all inclusive campaign) installed over Strike Fighters Gold. I also added the terrain updates that came later. Sorry to the developers, I can't remember off the top of my head who made them, but each addon is still in the download section. Well worth it in my opinion.
  2. It seems to me, from what I've seen, that most people have their environmentsystem.ini setup exactly the way they want it. So adding new clouds would involve only updating the images or the "skins" of clouds. I've been working on these skins. Here's three of them... I have an environmentsystem.ini file (used in these examples), but since I only have the SF1 sims I can't test in the SF2 ones. I'm thinking of just posting the "skins" so people can use them however they want.
  3. Thanks for the feedback, everybody. I'll keep 'em coming.
  4. Nice one, Spinners! So there I was, in an F9F panther over Korea. I had started up a single mission (strike) just to test out some changes. I planned to look around briefly and quit the mission. Then I realized the target was a bridge...unusual. So I stayed to get a look at it. This is what I saw... My jaw hit the desktop. I'm in a Panther, on a strike mission...and I'm flying into the Bridges at Toko-Ri! Oh yeah, I am SO William Holden now. I couldn't let this pass. I dove in, trying to stay clear of the steep canyon walls, and trashed the bridge. That was so awesome. I loved this mission!
  5. Thanks fellas. Today, I tried out a new way of making the clouds. This method gives me much more control over the output, is far easier, and takes far less time. I made this new cloud in just a few hours. These shots were made running the default environmentsystem.ini on broken clouds: I think these clouds have more 'presence.' Comments, anyone?
  6. Brett Farve

Yeah - the Vikes are looking mighty good. With Adrian Peterson running the ball there's too much for defenses to cover effectively. I wonder if they'll play the Saints in the playoffs. That would be a great game.

  14. Read This BS.......

When I was in the Navy they taught us to salute ANYONE who wears a CMH, irregardless of rank. Now I'm a civilian, but I see no reason to change that. I could be in jeans and tee and uncovered, but I'd still give a parade-ground salute to this man. Those little peckerwoods oughta feel blessed to kiss his feet!
  15. Here's some shots of the same cloud with white tops... Better?

  19. Looking forward to it, Falcon. Loved the screenshots, Derk. I especially like the shot from the cockpit where you're banking. Thanks! I think the deep blue highlights in this one look best over desert (SF1, WoI). The lighter blue version is better over green terrains. GrinchWSLG - You made a good point. I'll see what I can whip up real quick.
  20. Finally got a workaround. Here's just one of the files. Let me know how it looks for you. I'd greatly appreciate a screenshot. Unzip the .tga file and drop it in the "flight" directory. If you already have a "Cloud1.tga" file in there, be sure to back it up first.
  21. Okay - I'm not allowed to post a .tga here. I'll send a sample to anyone who's interested.
  22. Okies - I'll post a file here in a bit so you can check it out.
  23. So...would anyone be interested in these or are folks generally happy with the skies they have?
