F-12 key Action view and other items of interest
Dogzero1 replied to Dogzero1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Well said Old Diego. As for the others who seem to respond in the negative to my comments, you seem to think that I or anyone else who merely asks a question, should have booked an appointment with his holyness and then we are only allowed to ask qustions that do not make him say "I am a one man band, I dont have the resourses etc etc etc." And in my opinion, business is business. He does have a business selling air combat sims to the general public, I know this to be true, because I am one of them. I know he only has limited funds and time, but surely we can ask questions? Will I buy anymore of his business products? Hell yes. I will carry on funding his business and by god I will carry on asking him questions and requesting other things to improve the products. Well I certainly have not even hinted at TK on how to run his business and would never dream of it and I have not seen anyone else do it either. So it's no good trying to make trouble by suggesting it. :stink: However, asking simple questions to the developer, programmer and seller of a product that I have purchased is never wrong in my book. Yes I am the customer and I have purchased every single game he has done. So I think I deserve the right to ask him a question when I feel like it. All I hve ever expected are polite answers. Right, move along, there is nothing more for you here. -

Thanks Crusader. I have now managed to work that one out. I have asked TK as to why it was not implemented. He got a bit irate and started mentioning about all the other wish lists that cost money. I reminded him that this was not on any wish list, but a part of his own implementation and documented in the key cards to SFP1, WOV and WOI. So I re-iterated the fact that I am only asking a customer question. -

Yes, here here. Well done the modders. By the way Tuskagee, do you have a defective graphics card? I only ask as all your screenshots are very grainy and discoloured. -
Spot on. Currently, here in the UK, we have fundamentalist muslims spitting on returning troops, holding banners up stating death to the british soldiers and even attempting to disrupt funeral processions for soldiers and airmen who have paid the ultimate price. These muslims were born in the UK and as far as I am concerned, they are traitors and should be executed. The war on terror really is a war against muslim fundamentalism or it should be/will be. I served up until 2008, having done 23 years in the Royal Air Force. My last two tours of duty abroad were in Kuwait/Iraq during the original war fighting phase and then Afghanistan 2 years later. I saw first hand how much these Muslims detest the west and hate us. The reason for carrying on in the war on terror as far as I am concerned is that the war is against the Muslim terrorist fundamentalists who want world domination. I have deep feelings on this and for that I dont apologise. What we really need is for moderate muslims to go against these nutjobs, but they dont for some reason. Either we defeat them now or we fight for survival 50 years down the road.

The Final Countdown, a fantastic movie. Another thread inspired me to find this clip. It a great movie, if not a tad unbelievable and too far fetched..........I mean......how did that dog survive?
-
What......it's fiction? You'll be telling me the Phillidelphia Experiment was fiction next.
-
You mean the dog surviving was ok? Ho come on man......... I actually think you need your brain in the equation to understand the ramifications of time travel. I mean, think about it for a minute. The big boss of the company that built and designed the Nimitz knew that he must get it to go on exercise on that particular date and that particular area. He also knew that a younger version of himself was also needed to be on board (well he knew he would be on board becasue he was him) He also knew that he would get marroned ona desert island with a girl that would become his wife. So what if the big boss accidently killed his other young self before he could get on the Nimitz and get left behind in 1941? Would he cease to exist? What if the Nimitz captain decided to stay in 1941 and kick ten bells out of Germany and Japan and Russia? The other paradox is this; it obviously keeps going around in circles because the date is 1980 when the Nimitz gets back but without the CAG, so that Cag is still on that desert island again? See what I mean. I think I need another drink.

I love that picture, its great. It's only my opinion though. I just prefer un-edited screenshots from the sims. Its good to show off the game without changing it. There is room for all though. -

Nice. Not photoshopped, not edited. Just a nice screenshot. Well done. I do like un-edited good game screenshots without terrible grain effects or over the top editing. -

Great vid. Very well compiled. I wish I could get my SF2V running well with the Air & Ground war mod. Too many graphic anomalies because I have the lastest TK updated version. -

Some fantastic screenshots on this thread. I'm not a fan of photoshopped or edited pics though as they dont portray the game. It's nice to see what great pics can be had straight from the sim. Keep up the good work fella's. Dogzero1...............out. -

Dogzero1 replied to Dogzero1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
So did I. I was using the mod on WOV, then saw that it was available on the new fangled SF2V. So I purchased SF2V with the expectation of great things. And it is great, the modders have done wonderful things, but that last patch has done something and I think TK should at least look into it. Lets hope he does. -

Good idea, I wish I could do the same. Unfortunetly my version of SFV2 is already patched. -
SFV2 Air & Ground war graphics help please
Dogzero1 replied to Dogzero1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
We could try that but in that case we lose one of the main eye candy and atmospheric parts of the mod. Nope, it needs a fix from TK. Until then, its best served on a nice bed of WOV. -

It seems like me and thee are the only chaps currently trying to fly this mod in SF2V. No one else seems to have noticed or commented on the problems. I have posted on the Thirdwire forum now in the hope that TK can come up with a fix. Dogzero1............out. -
