  1. These effects are great; they really add something to SFP1. Thanks CA.
  2. I know this might sound like a stupid question, but what would be an example of a sim with cutting-edge terrain in it?
  3. I guess we know when the patches for the other games are going to be released. *Thinks about all of the installed mods that will be affected by the patches. Lays out ceremonial mat and sword.* "Ah, one final glass of bourbon," he says happily.
  4. I've experienced the veering effect on takeoff from time to time. I haven't discovered the cause. It's always a veer to the right, never to the left.
  5. All I can say at this point is test it and see if that solves any of your problems.
  6. Right. You'll have to make an entry from scratch under the [Terrain] heading in the Range.ini.
  7. It sounds like the range isn't "reading" the .cat file in either of your two games. You'll have to make an entry in the 'Range.ini' file like this: CatFile=..\GermanyCE\GermanyCE.cat to get the objects to show up in WoE. PS: I don't own WoV, so I don't know what the .ini edit would be for that game.
  8. I don't know why SimHQ would even bother reviving its download section. Other download sites have taken up the slack.
  9. Grayson -- I don't know whether you already know this or not, but the latest Realtek drivers -- R1.71 -- can be downloaded either from the Realtek site or from Majorgeeks.com. Tristan
  10. Turn off your caps lock.
  11. My comp is very similar to grayson's, but I alternate sound output between an Audigy2 ZS and a Realtek mobo chip. I run SFP1 and WoE without any CTDs in either configuration.
  12. Try the game without the CH Control Manager, using just the WoV controller GUI to set up and run your stick.
  13. OK, I'm gonna reach here -- are you configuring your stick with the game's own controller interface or are you using a 3rd-party GUI?
  14. Do you get an error message with the CTD?
  15. Do a forum search; these subjects have already been covered exhaustively.
  16. Most add-ons work in all three jet sims. If there are exceptions, a bit of tweaking is usually all that is required to get the add-ons to work in a specific game. Formation flying -- best for online, IMHO. You'll see what I mean after you play a few single-player missions in WoE, I think.
  17. YAP

Zerocinco has told just about everyone on the various sim sites that e-mail is his chosen medium for conducting business and working out technical questions related to YAP. Most of the rest of us are not in a position to answer technical questions about the product.
  18. It's OK with me. I did kind of a crappy job of the mod, though, which is why I removed it. Just so you know.
  19. My Libya water mod is no longer available; maybe somebody else could do an update.
  20. Indioblack -- My guys get attacked by enemy AI all the time; in fact, they frequently get *wiped out* by enemy AI. I test out my planesets to see how the planes perform against each other, and generally make sure that things are working properly before I give an install my stamp of approval. SF/WOV/WOE are complex programs; seemingly small things can throw them off sometimes. I've had to do a lot of experimentation to get things to work right, especially given all the mods I have installed. Too bad things haven't worked out for you.
  21. I'd sure like to play with that texture!
