  1. Yes, I think that would be a nice idea.
  2. Race 07

Hi Falcon. Yes Race07 is very tweekable, much like GT Legends which I think it shares most of its game engine with. You have options for braking assist, steering assist, auto shifting, auto clutch, auto reverse, spin recovery and traction control. Much like the Strike Fighter series there are other games and expansion packs that will integrate with Race07. Also both GT legends and Race07 are very moddible. There are a few websites but I find www.NoGripRacing.com to be a good source for mods. The file structure is reasonably simple to follow and adding mods is about as simple as adding them to SF2. Hope this helps. Mikeymead.
  3. I'm with Spinners, Typhoon & Tempest. Also though not strictly WW2 late model (Griffon engine) Spits and Seafires.
  4. Hi, I tried both the above methods plus a whole heap of other stuff but what ever I do seems to make no difference at all.
  5. I know I'm a bit late to this party but I noticed this on Thirdwire's twitter page for an upcoming SFA update. I don't know if it has any relevence or not. My own feeling is that EXP3 is probably dead and buried which would be a shame. Then again I am a pessimistic old g*t.!!!
  6. Merry Christmas everyone

Merry Christmas every one. I hope its a good one for you all. I hope next year is a good one especially for those of you who have had a less than brilliant one this year.
  7. Yes, I installed it on my wife's Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1 to see what it was like and it ran really well.
  8. 45 for me, quite surprised that there are more guys older than me than younger.
  9. Very sad news, the Sky at night will never be the same again.
  10. A Belated Duxford airshow. . . . .

Very nice pics there, looks like a really good show. Re. Sea Fury shot, nice toolbox
  11. I think that's probably how it was in real life. They would have needed the targets marked by other aircraft or ground units. As far as I know SF2 can't replicate this.
  12. Well it's flown! Looks like a good little airshow.
  13. A few photos I took at the Shuttleworths Air Pagent, Items of intrest are the TVAF's RE8, Albatros D.Va and Sopwith Snipe. Picture quality isn't great as I was hampered by three things, the british weather, I need a better camera and my lack of talent! I hope you find them of intrest.
  14. Hi, currently using the stock Intel CPU cooler on my i7/920 and thinking about changing this to water cooling. Anyone got any experience of these kits or recommendations, really interested in long term reliability issues. Many thanks, Mikeymead.
  15. Hi, same for me, now I don't know if I'm teaching Grandma how to suck eggs here but looking at the file system each version of the game seems to have it's own exe. which in turn seems to have it's own mod folder. Now I know in the merged version of the game all objects from all games will be in every mod folder but obviously you can remove the objects you don't want from one mod folder but they will remain in the other ones so depending on which exe you use to open the game will depend on what objects will be available. I think also you can copy and rename an exe which once used to open a game will create a new mod folder with the same name as the renamed exe. Therefore by using different exe's and different mod folders you should be able to have different versions of the game with only one game installation. The only problem I can see with this that they will be at the same patch level. Hope this helps. Mikeymead.
  16. My Wingman

Ah, can't go wrong with "Cat's Eyes Cunningham" as your wingy. Lovely little puddy cat there.
  17. Kevin´s Turn

Happy Birthday, have a good one!
  18. F-111 Pit repaint for SU-24.

Should be ok, use 7zip not win zip to open it. That's what other people have done who have had this problem.
  19. F-111 Pit repaint for SU-24.

    Version Beta

    254 downloads

F-111 Pit repaint for SU-24. This is my attempt to repaint NormanKnight's F-111 pit to represent the Su-24's pit. It is no way accurate as it is what it is, a repaint of an existing pit. There are some issues, some of the translations are probably (definitely) wrong! Any Russian speakers are welcome to offer alternative suggestions. The artificial horizon and HSI are both of the western type not Russian, this is due to the existing model and my lack of ability to even know if it could be changed. I would like to thank NormanKnight for creating the F-111 pit, Fastcargo for allowing me to use it. Sony Tuckson for allowing me to use a couple of textures from the Mirage Factory's Mig 29 Pit. ErikGen for allowing me to use some of his radar screen textures from his TU-128. The whole Combatace community for generally helping me out in the past. And finally TK for producing this game and allowing it to be moddable. Freeware use only. Hope you enjoy this mod. Mikeymead. Updated version: Changed file from 7zip to winzip as some people were having problems extracting the original.
  20. Totally OT...My New Petfood Store

That's great news Simon, a few more contracts like that and you'll be well away.
  21. Real Life (tm) troubles

Hi, Sorry to hear that, been through a divorce myself a few years back but for very different reasons. I hope you and your soon to be ex wife can remain friends, my divorce was quite amicable in the end but I've had no contact since and have now remarried. Good luck in the future. Mike.
  22. With new clouds SF2NA can almost look real! PS. Lovin my new 27" monitor, not quite as big as Dave's but we all know Americans like to go big.
  23. OT Made my day

I had a similar experience last year, I delivered and a new lawnmower to this guy, I known him for many years but I'd never been to his house. Anyway while I was waiting for him to get his cheque book I noticed a squadron photo of a Avro Lincoln with all the squadron members lined up in in front of it. When he came back with his cheque book I asked him about the photo, it turned out that he'd served as aircrew (mainly as a radio operator and navigator) on both Lancasters and Lincolns after the second world war. If I remember correctly he saw action in Malaya. So for the next 15-20 minutes we had a god chat about his aviation experiences and aviation in general. He still flies and owns an Auster. I find it funny sometimes that you may have know someone for several years yet really know nothing about them.
